Amirdrassil 10.2.5 Raid DPS Log Rankings, Week 5: Enhance! Retribute!

Recommended Posts

Clipboard03.jpg

Thins are not calming down just yet, despite the last tuning pass having been 2 weeks ago. We see two specs push up almost to the very top, with Shamans and Paladins rejoicing!

Note: We are using Normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. The u.gg rankings at the bottom are raw DPS. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it's AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Mythic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

Things are changing up massively once again! And while the very top spot remains reserved for Subtlety (and by a large margin), everything else is very much in flux, starting with No.2 where Enhancement makes its move! 4 spots gained for the Shaman this week, rocketing past Arcane's very stable 3rd and right into the silver spot. Retribution does the same, just slightly worse, as it gains 3 spots in 4th, with Fury joining Arcane in acting as an anchor for all the other chaos around it. Right after that we see the biggest movers of the week, Outlaw and Unholy, as they both slide 5 spots up together, bursting into the top 10 at 6 and 7. Havoc and Demonology close out the top 10, trying to hold on to their glory days. The bottom 3 still features two out of three Hunters, with the third not that far behind either, as Augmentation is still not getting its due credit down in last place.

We see a similar story here as well, with Enhancement pushing up into 2nd, but Retribution is actually down two, losing out to not only the Shaman but Fury as well. Demonology is holding on a lot better this week, gaining 3 spots, and Arms is following in its wake. Fire drops down to Arcane's spot, as the two Mages gather, just ahead of Outlaw, who closes out the top 10.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

The direct damage charts are pretty stable, but we do see Enhancement doing better here as well, taking Retri down, while Unholy bests Fire.

Heroic

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Heroic is VERY stable this week, as we have to go down to 8th for the first signs of movement, where both Balance and Fury take down Arms, which closes out the top 10.

U.GG Raw DPS Rankings

U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks. This chart is for Mythic only.

Affliction is still the biggest beneficiary of the switch to raw DPS, as it remains in 2nd, while Demonology claws back some of its former power, moving one up into 4th. Havoc takes down a resurgent Frost DK and Enhancement interestingly doesn't move at all from its 10th spot. Meanwhile at the bottom, we see Destruction join Frost Mage and Augmentation, as Balance manages to pull itself out of the final 3.

Heirlooms in the War Within pre-patch will become soulbound if you enchant/equip them. A fix for the issue is coming when the expansion releases in Patch 11.0.2.
      (Source)
Thanks for your feedback on Heirlooms! We originally planned to convert heirlooms to be Warbound until equipped to keep gear consistently using the new bind type. Upon further consideration, we’d like to continue to support the playstyle of setting up heirlooms with enchants and gems, then passing them to alts as needed. Given the 11.0.0 patch is today, we can’t easily fix this in the current patch, but it will be changed back in the upcoming 11.0.2 patch.
While unfortunately your gear will become bound if you enchant/equip until the next patch, once it comes out, your heirloom gear will revert to Warbound, allowing you to again pass it between alts after equipping / enchanting it. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and again, thank you so much for the feedback.

Blizzard has posted an update on Mythic+ affix changes coming in this week's Beta build.
A new Xal'atath's Bargain affix called Oblivion was added. It revolves around void crystals that can be absorbed by enemies or players. When players absorb them, they'll gain increased Mastery and Leech. Many affixes have been adjusted based on community feedback. (Source)
      Greetings, dungeoneers!
Thank you all for your feedback on our new Mythic+ affix system. As we continue to review community responses for future adjustments, we’ve made updates in this week’s Beta.
      New Affix
Continuing with the theme of Xal’atath’s Bargain, where players can harness powerful boons granted to dungeon enemies by the Harbinger, we’re adding a new affix to our Beta testing this week. Xal’atath’s Bargain: Oblivion
While in combat, Xal’atath manifests crystals from the void that can be absorbed by enemies or players. These crystals spawn near enemies and move towards them until they are absorbed by players or collide with their target enemy. Players that absorb these void crystals gain increased Mastery and Leech. Affix Adjustments
Voidbound is receiving adjustments to ease positioning requirements, and increase the value of defeating it to offset its damage requirement. Xal’atath’s Bargain: Voidbound
Void Emissary now follows the Tank player after being summoned. Void Emissary’s health adjusted, and its health no longer scales with Fortified. Dark Prayer now grants 5% damage to all enemies in combat every 2 seconds, adjusted from 10% damage to all enemies in combat every 3 seconds. Dark Prayer now persists on enemy creatures if the channel finishes without the Void Emissary being defeated. Blessing from Beyond now grants 20% Cooldown Reduction in addition to 20% Critical Strike chance. We’ll see you in dungeons!

Blizzard has posted an official preview of the updated character screens and services in the War Within pre-patch.
      (Source)

With the release of the pre-expansion content update and Warbands, you’ll notice a difference in the character screen that will affect how you use  Character Transfers, Level Boosts, Race Changes, and Faction Changes on your characters.
As the character selection screen shows all characters on the Battle.net account in one convenient location, some may show up as “gray” in the listing and are not available to select to use a Character Service on. To use a service for that character, you will need to select the realm that the character is from first by clicking on the “Realm” selection at the top of the screen and then apply the service to that character.
You can also hover your mouse cursor over a character listed on the right side of the screen to see additional information including the realm it is currently on.
