Heroic Fyrakk Kill Yields 6 Fyr'alaths After Bad Luck Protection Buff

Recommended Posts

Blizzard has retroactively buffed the bad luck protection for Fyr'alath, and we're now witnessing the increased drop chance firsthand: a single Heroic Fyrakk kill yielded 6 legendary quest items!

If you've missed the news, Blizzard buffed the effects of Greater Ember of Fyr'alath Greater Ember of Fyr'alath that permanently increase your chances of acquiring Fyr'alath the Dreamrender and this buff applies retroactively to embers already looted.

In case you haven't caught up with the latest news just yet, Blizzard has buffed the effects of Greater Ember of Fyr'alath Greater Ember of Fyr'alath and Lesser Ember of Fyr'alath Lesser Ember of Fyr'alath, which permanently up your odds of obtaining Fyr'alath the Dreamrender. The buff also applies to any embers you've previously collected.

Reddit user Cagu95 highlighted this buff by sharing a screenshot of the chat where 6 Fyr'alath the Dreamrender Fyr'alath the Dreamrenders dropped at once, demonstrating the effectiveness of the bad luck protection buff.

Another player shared a screenshot of a chat where it shows that during a raid, 5 quest items dropped from Heroic Fyrakk.

Reports also indicate that players who have collected 28 Greater Embers have had success looting the Fyr'alath axe from Fyrakk. So, if you've accumulated a lot of embers without any luck, your chances of getting the axe should be pretty good.

you guys should comment how they do this hotfix after countless players killed it at reset and still got nothing, only to get slapped in the face by this "hotfix". This shouldve been done either at reset, or next week reset.

Let's be honest, it likely wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Raid Finder was done first; not a drop for anyone.

Normal was filled to the brim with plate with the exception of the Monk and Shaman..........no one got the drop we all ended up with essences.

Heroic: going to see if the Guildies are running tonight or not; if not will attempt to pug myself in one.

Stop hurting yourself. No point in doing normal and LFR is you can kill heroic. It won’t increase chance.

I think it would be a better idea to simply buff those plate classes, so they can be competitive even without that legendary axe.

A shame that blizzard nerfed raw dps of plate to ground and make that axe a must instead. And what’s more sarcastic even that axe needed a bunch of buffs to be competitive.

That's the problem.  Have limited amount of time during the week and weekend due to the uncertainty of my work schedule.  Not to mention having time for the Guild when I am available.  And the over saturation of plate queueing up for Heroic is insane.  Average 4-5 hour wait while applying to groups.  Yes I know that LFR and Normal are extremely low but it's less than a wait on my end to get into those groups compared to getting into a Heroic group.

Also a friend of mine found this bit of information:

On your 15th Heroic (or higher) Fyrakk kill after the Legendary was available (Week 3), you will guaranteed get  Fyr'alath the Dreamrender.
On your 7th Mythic Fyrakk kill, you will guaranteed get  Fyr'alath the Dreamrender.
It's unclear exactly how Lesser Embers interact with Greater Embers, but if you've been collecting they should be stacking up.

A current bug in The War Within Beta results in absurd level requirements for gray items!
In the first Beta build, an amusing bug has surfaced affecting the required level for gear.
I found a pair of gray Pierced Gloves in the Beta, but they require Level 322 to equip.

Meanwhile, someone on Reddit discovered a gray Pierced Hauberk that requires Level 360 to equip.

Hopefully, this bug will be fixed soon, or we might have to wait for a few more expansions before we can use these precious gray items!

A Demon Hunter player has speed-run Mogu'shan Palace in 29 seconds, only killing the very last boss of the dungeon.
I believe this is the same Demon Hunter who clipped through Scholomance and killed the final boss in 13.45 seconds upon zoning in to the dungeon.
Here is a video of the speed run.

You can send currency to your alts in The War Within pre-patch!
The new pre-patch for The War Within includes a tab that allows you to send currency directly to your alts. MrGM looked into which currencies can be transferred and discovered that you will lose 17% of Cosmic Flux, Soul Ash, and Soul Cinders with each transfer, and up to 24% of War Resources.
