One of the best moments that I remember, was from my early wow days back in cata.

One of my friends told me that he would sponsor my flying mount once i hit lvl 60 and I was like: flying? you can fly in this game!?

I still remember taking off on my gryphon from sw, these days 150% flying would feel painfully slow, but back then it was the best feeling ever.

I was on my human mage on a trial account in Ironforge. One of the first mage quests required me to go to Loch Modan. This was the highest level I'd ever gotten a character and i had no idea how to get there. I decided to ask for help and found a gnome mage and asked him. I told him I needed to get there and had no idea how and he just said "follow me". On autofollow, he ran me on foot all the way from ironforge to the quest giver in loch modan. Along the way he told me some things about my class and that it becomes pretty fun. He also told me not to let this game consume my life and that school is more important. I've never forgotten that guy and out of all my stories this one really sticks out. He really influenced me and I've tried to pay it forward anytime I've come across a struggling beginner.

My most memorable moment is probably a tie between the first time I walked into ICC or the Cinematic for Cataclysm.

1st Time into ICC was intense, the air of anticipation, knowing that I was about to embark on an epic mission to take down one of the most memorable and Iconic characters of the story. (I had a similar experience later when I got a chance to do Black Temple, but ICC came first)

Honestly all of the Cinematics have been amazing for me, seeing near movie quality trailers for my game gives me chills. Cataclysm was something special though, Deathwing's madness culminating into his siege of the entire world was mind blowing. And to see him sack Stormwind for kicks was a huge plus.

I could lump in the Cinematic for WoD as well now that I think about it. I legit freaked out seeing Hellscream pour the blood back in the pot and deny the 'gift' from Mannoroth, and then to see Gromm once again slaughter Mannoroth, but live? Amazing.

My favorite moment was the early part of Wrath of the Lich King when I was in a very tightly-knit 10-man hard mode group.  Ulduar was so much fun!

My most memorable moment would be back in 2004 when I started playing.  I remember hitting level 40 on a druid and the guild I was in at the time would role play in the cathedral in SW.  The whole guild would attend and watch me get "knighted" into the guild, in which they also gave me the gold to buy my first mount!  Big deal back then after 40 levels of running around haha.  This role playing would happen for every member once they hit level 40, was great fun!
