Focus starved survival

Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to the hunter spec in wow. But i'm liking the way it plays.

First i was a mm hunter, but switched over to sv, because its more fun to play and im liking the dps.

My gear is still more specced for mm hunter (also due the nature of hm raid), so its not all optimized.

To get to the point, i worry about my focus managing and was wondering how often do u need to cast cobra shot to regain focus? Because i always try to prioritize my abilities crrectly, but its making me focus starved to often, and that is a dps loss.

I want to know how you guys manage your focus to not get starved or capped...

Try using Stampede instead of Crows.  Don't use arcane shot unless you have a thrill proc, you need to apply serpent sting, or you are close to focus capping while BA/ES/GT/Barrage are on CD.  Try using Glaive Toss instead of Barrage and if you are using Barrage, understand that it's situational and it does not ALWAYS have to be off cd like BA/ES do.

Another thing to try is to use Focusing Shot instead of Lone Wolf.  I have found that I'm a lot less focus starved using FS while I am with LW.  FS does take a bit of getting used to, since it can't be cast while moving, but it resolves the issue of focus starvation.

Isnt stampede a bit of a dps loss?

And i dont mind using focus shot but i like lone wolf for not managing my pet. Or dont u guys use a pet with focssing shot?

1.  No

2.  When using SF/FS you will have a pet out.  SF/FS will make you less mobile but you will get larger focus gains.

This is similiar to Secret Hunter with the addition of Kathrena package and Rexxar DK, it has both good early game and great late game with huge damage from charges and DK hero power.
It has only 3 legendaries that are necessary to make the deck works and not exchangable with anything else.
      1x Candleshot
      2x Secretkeeper
      2x Wandering Monster
      2x Freezing Trap
      2x Cat Trick
      2x Eaglehorn Bow
      2x Animal Companion
      2x Kill Command
      1x Unleash the Hounds
      2x Deadly Shot
      2x Flanking Strike
      2x Spellbreaker
      2x Lesser Emerald Spellstone
      1x Seeping Oozeling
      1x Deathstalker Rexxar
      2x Charged Devilsaur
      1x Kathrena Winterwisp
      1x King Krush

As you can see the only beasts in the deck are 7/7 or 8/8 with charge so the result of recruit is easy to predict, note that Charged Devilsaur when summoned by recruit can hit face directly since not activate the battlecry.
The aim of the deck is either win with Wolves from spellstone and early beast summons or charging face with big dinos so stall enough until you can do so if your early game is worse than opponent.
Seeping oozeling will always copy Kathrena deathrattle unless you have her in your hand so don't keep Kathrena at 1st turn but keeping Oozeling is fine since it will swing the game if not silenced when played at turn 6.
The deck is pretty solid and that's what I'm playing mostly in K&C.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew the best tier combination currently for survival hunter. Are we supposed to be running full 4-set from Antorus and keeping 2-set from Tomb, vice versa, etc. I took a little break from the game for a month, and didn't want to have the same problem coming back I did with ToS.

      About Us
Skunkworks is a guild for players who can not or do not want to commit to the time-intensive raid schedules of traditional "hardcore" guilds.
However, we still maintain a high caliber player environment and make an efficient use of our raiding time.
We raid Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 - 11:00 PST, just 8 hours a week and never more.

We are very protective of our guild environment and selective in recruitment. We are looking for solid players mechanically as well as intellectually.
We all get paid to deal with idiots, why should we pay to spend our leisure time with them as well?

Skunkworks has been around for multiple expansions and has historically always been at the top of the 2-night raiding guild scene.
