Introductions

Welcome to our team composition guide for Aventurine • Waveflair in Honkai: Star Rail. In this guide, we'll explore the best teams to build for Aventurine • Waveflair, including recommended team compositions, character synergies, and everything you need to know to maximize his Fervor generation and Elation Skill frequency.

Best Synergies for Aventurine Waveflair

Yao Guang
Yao Guang

Yao Guang is one of Aventurine • Waveflair's strongest teammates in Hypercarry teams. She provides Elation%, Vulnerability, All-Type RES PEN, Certified Banger, and Skill Points. Furthermore, her Aha Instants allow Aventurine to gain more enhanced Elation Skill, increasing the frequency of his primary damage source.

Tribbie
Tribbie

Tribbie is a strong support who provides damage amplification through RES PEN, Vulnerability, and she frequently attacks herself. Since Aventurine • Waveflair deals damage when other characters attack, especially Follow-Up ATKs, Tribbie is very effective at producing 'Fervor', making her one of Aventurine's strongest teammates in both Hypercarry and Follow-Up ATK teams.

Ashveil
Ashveil

As a Follow-Up ATK unit, Ashveil is a vital teammate for Aventurine • Waveflair. His frequent Follow-Up attacks contribute heavily towards 'Fervor' generation, and his CRIT DMG buffs and DEF Shred improve Aventurine's damage. However, outside of attack frequency, Aventurine provides no amp in return, making the synergy feel quite one-sided.

Mortenax Blade
Mortenax Blade

Mortenax Blade is an excellent ally for Ashveil, and in turn, Aventurine • Waveflair. With his debuffs and attack frequency, Blade provides Aventurine with incredible amp while generating more 'Fervor'. Unfortunately, Aventurine gives nothing back except attack frequency, making this a fairly one-sided synergy.

Aventurine Waveflair's Best Teams

Aventurine • Waveflair is often played in two archetypes: a dedicated Elation Hypercarry team, or a Follow-Up attack team. Both are viable, and his strongest teammates differ depending on which playstyle is being used.

Hypercarry teams typically pair him with powerful Elation supports such as Yao Guang and Elation Trailblazer, allowing him to obtain enhanced and unenhanced Elation Skills. Follow-Up attack teams instead focus on generating as many attacks as possible through units such as Ashveil and Mortenax Blade. However, players may find his performance in a sustained FUA team rather lacking, as results show E0 Tribbie often being a stronger pick than Ashveil and Blade.

This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level. These are simply examples of teams that possess strong synergy with Aventurine • Waveflair.
