3.

What is the Seal Slammers Event about?

Seal Slammers is a turn-based strategy event... with launching baby seals! The "So Dang Fun Seal Bumping Duel Challenge Seal Slammers" grand event in Amphoreus, hosted by followers of Phagousa, is looking for the best baby seal trainer to win the Championship and take home the Gold Seal Cup!

During the event, players will command a team of baby seals to fight against other baby seal trainers. Each round will have baby seals colliding into each other at high speeds until each one is too exhausted to move. When you have earned enough points across several rounds, you will win the match battle!

4.

How do you Participate in the Seal Slammers Event?

In order to participate in the Seal Slammers event, you need to reach Trailblaze Level 21 and complete the Trailblaze Mission: Witch's Mirrored Reversal located in Amphoreus.

Finality's Vision

If you are at least Trailblaze Level 21, players may activate Finality's Vision in order to play the event early. However, you may encounter story spoilers, so it is highly recommended to only do so if you want the Trailblaze EXP or rewards. Finality's Vision will be disabled after the player has completed the pre-requisite requirements.

Seal Slammers Event Map Location

To get started, teleport directly to Amphoreus via the Seal Slammers: Prologue quest, or navigate to the "Eternal Holy City" Okhema's Hall of Respite Space Anchor on F1. From there, speak with the nearby NPCs, Aglaea and Tribbie, to begin the Event.

Seal Slammers Event Interactable

Progress through the Prologue quest for several tutorials on how to play. When you are done, speak with the NPC Apophis by the Seal Slammer Pool to begin the Event. If you need to return later, the closest Space Anchor to the Event is the Court of Seasons. See the How to Play section for any additional clarifications.

Baby Seal Team Setup

Seal Slammers Team Deploy

Before each match starts, you will get the chance to pick which three baby seals to deploy. Take this time to review their special abilities, and determine which ones will work best for your playstyle, or against your opponent.

You can also review what baby seals your opponent has chosen before participating in the match.

5.2.

Gameplay Overview

Launching a Baby Seal

Your objective during the challenges is to defeat enough enemy baby seals. You can keep track of how many you need to defeat at the top of the screen.

Each round lasts until all baby seals have taken their turn. The action order is determined by a coin flip at the start, and subsequent rounds will swap the player who goes first.

During your turn, you can launch an active baby seal at the enemy baby seals. If you change your mind, you can also cancel before launching. Once a baby seal has acted, they will become inactive until the next round.

Baby Seal Regrouping

If a baby seal is defeated, it will re-enter the pool at its starting position.

5.3.

Phagousa's Blessings

Phagousa's Blessings

Whenever a new round starts, you and your opponent will get the chance to select one Phagousa's Blessing. These Blessings could apply to all baby seals, or a unique blessing for a specific baby seal. You can collect more Melodies of Celebration as you proceed through the event story.

You can unlock Arena Mode after completing the final Group Stage match. This special mode allows you to battle other Trailblazers around the world, either random players or your friends.

If you lose an Arena match, you will not lose any points. The highest Arena Rank you can get is Seal Master after earning 3,001 or more points.

Multiplayer Mode in the Phone Menu

You can also access Arena Mode through the Phone Menu's Multiplayer Mode function. The current multiplayer event is subject to change in future patches.

5.8.

Seal Slammers: Ultimate Evolution

Seal Slammers: Ultimate Evolution

If the Story Mode matches are too easy for you, speak with Aquafis for more difficult matches, also known as Seal Slammers: Ultimate Evolution. If you can defeat Aquafis, you can obtain a hidden achievement. This NPC can be found beside Apophis, who you normally speak with to access the Seal Slammers event.

5.9.

Group Stage 1: Timos

Following the tutorial, your first opponent is Timos, who is currently 3rd in the Group Stage Ranking.

Team Preparation

Timos's team consists of the following baby seals:

  • Rubber Seal
  • Boom Boom Seal
  • Mega Seal

Watch out for the Boom Boom Seal, as it can deal DMG to other baby seals regardless of how it acts. In addition, Mega Seal can also increase other baby seals' ATK each round.

5.10.

Arena Information

Arena Information

This Arena's unique feature is a pillar that baby seals can bounce off of. Use this to create directional changes for better positioning around the pool.

Colliding Example

The key to winning is to deal as many instances of damage per action. You can do this by either attacking multiple baby seals with one attack; or bouncing off walls, objects, and other baby seals to change your speed and/or direction of attack. Take advantage of your baby seals' positioning and abilities when possible!

Match Results
5.11.

Group Stage 2: Perhippas

After defeating Timos, your next opponent is Perhippas.

Team Preparation

Perhippas's team consists of the following baby seals:

  • Mega Seal
  • Bandaged Seal
  • Common Grey Seal

The new baby seal, Bandaged Seal, increases its ATK by 10 when its HP drops below 25. Before it can take advantage of its ATK boost, make sure to take it out as soon as possible!

5.12.

Arena Information

Arena Information

This Arena's unique feature is a spiky pillar that deals 3 DMG to colliding baby seals. Try to knock your enemies into the spiky pillar for extra DMG, but watch out for your own baby seals!

One of Phagousa's Blessings for this round can include Spike Immunity, which will make allied baby seals immune to spike DMG; as well as Spike Weakness, which will make enemy baby seals take double spike DMG.

Match Results

Before you can fight Tribbie, you will have to investigate the blackened pool.

5.13.

Group Stage 3: Tribbie

After investigating the blackened pool, you can battle your final Group Stage opponent: Tribbie.

Team Preparation

Tribbie's team consists of the following baby seals:

  • Mega Seal
  • Angel Seal
  • Rubber Seal

Angel Seal is a unique baby seal, as its ability can heal any allied baby seal they collide with. However, this is also its greatest weakness: the Angel Seal cannot heal itself.

5.14.

Arena Information

Arena Information

This Arena's unique feature is that it has spiky walls and three pillars to bounce off of. The spiky walls will deal 3 DMG to any baby seal that collides with it.

One of Phagousa's Blessings for this round can include Spike Immunity, which will make allied baby seals immune to spike DMG; as well as Spike Weakness, which will make enemy baby seals take double spike DMG.

Match Results

Once you defeat Tribbie, you can move onto the Elimination Round.

5.15.

Elimination Round 1: "Yourdei"

Before beginning the Elimination Round match, you will get the opportunity to learn about Seal Slammers: Ultimate Evolution, as well as Arena Mode. This match stage will also add three more baby seals to unlock in the Store.

Your first opponent in your Championship journey is "Yourdei". Definitely not heavily inspired from someone you may know...

Team Preparation

"Yourdei's" team consists of the following baby seals:

  • Common Grey Seal
  • Red Hot Seal
  • Boom Boom Seal

Watch out for the Boom Boom Seal, as it can deal DMG to other baby seals regardless of how it acts. In addition, the new Red Hot Seal can also deal extra DMG on its first collision in a round.

5.16.

Arena Information

Arena Information

This Arena's unique feature are floaties that baby seals can bounce off of. When a baby seal collides with a floatie, their launch SPD will increase, on top of a bonus 1 ATK for the current round.

Use this to create directional changes for better positioning, as well as gaining extra DMG for weaker baby seals.

One of Phagousa's Blessings for this round can include Bounce Boost, which increases a baby seal's ATK bonus from colliding with the floaties by 2 ATK.

Match Results
5.17.

Elimination Round 2: "Spirithief" Bartholos

After defeating "Yourdei", your next opponent was supposed to be Dorian. However, the "Spirithief" Bartholos has stolen his badge, which you will have to retrieve back with the help of Oronyx's Power to rewind time.

Oronyx's Prayer

If you are unsure on how to make the Spirithief come back, review the in-game tutorial for Spirithief's Trickery.

After recovering the badge, the cutscene will end with you fighting against Bartholos instead.

Team Preparation

Bartholos's team consists of the following baby seals:

  • Mega Seal
  • Dark Seal
  • Rubber Seal

The Dark Seal's ability is to consume allied baby seals and gain 150% of their total ATK and 70% of their total HP. If you defeat the Dark Seal, it will spit out its allied seals and cannot be revived.

While the Dark Seal is in the Arena, it can only act once per round. When the Dark Seal is defeated, the opponent will only have two baby seals in the arena at most. Use your baby seal numbers to your advantage!

5.18.

Arena Information

Arena Information

This Arena features both spiky walls and a floatie pillar for baby seals to bounce off of.

One of Phagousa's Blessings for this round can include Spike Immunity, which will make allied baby seals immune to spike DMG; Spike Weakness, which will make enemy baby seals take double spike DMG; and Bounce Boost, which increases the ATK bonus from colliding with the floaties by 2 ATK.

Match Results

If you are having trouble defeating the Dark Seal due to its high ATK and HP, you can also consider the Phagousa's Blessing Self-Destruct Seal Truck. This will deal 99 DMG and defeat the Dark Seal, at the cost of losing your baby seal.

5.19.

Elimination Round 3: Trinnon

You final opponent for the Elimination Round stage will be Trinnon.

Team Preparation

Trinnon's team consists of the following baby seals:

  • Angel Seal
  • Duotone Seal
  • Boom Boom Seal

You last saw Angel Seal in action from Tribbie's match, but Trinnon introduces a new baby seal: Duotone Seal. It is kind of unique, as the red part of the seal deals 200% of ATK as DMG, and the blue part only takes 50% of DMG.

It can seem difficult to defeat the Duotone Seal, but not impossible. Try using high ATK baby seals, such as Red Hot Seal and Dark Seal. Alternatively, any baby seals that can deal extra DMG would work too, such as Boom Boom Seal or Bubbles.

5.20.

Arena Information

Arena Information

This Arena features an Extra Action Zone in the middle of the arena. If a baby seal stops in the Extra Action Zone after taking action, it gets an extra action. This can only be triggered 1 time per baby seal per round. Try to use this to your advantage, as extra actions means extra DMG.

If you are having trouble defeating the baby seals, due to their high ATK and/or HP, you can also consider the Phagousa's Blessing Self-Destruct Seal Truck. This will deal 99 DMG and defeat a baby seal upon collision, at the cost of losing your baby seal.

Match Results

Once you defeat Trinnon and watch a few more cutscenes, you can move onto the Championship.

5.21.

Championship 1: Dan Heng

Note: You will be banned from using Bubbles in the following Championship battle, as Bubbles has joined Hyacine's team instead. In addition, you now need to knock-out 5 baby seals in order to win a Championship battle.

Your first opponent in the Championship stage will be Dan Heng, who has requested you defeat him to end the "obsession". Remember to check the Store for a new baby seal to unlock.

Team Preparation

Dan Heng's team consists of the following baby seals:

  • Boom Boom Seal
  • Ghost Seal
  • Common Grey Seal

The Ghost Seal will summon three will-o'-wisp(s) on the field at the start of each round. If any will-o'-wisps get absorbed, the baby seal will have its ATK increased by 3.

5.22.

Arena Information

Arena Information

This Arena's unique feature are Whirlpool Traps that deal 50% of current HP as DMG to any baby seals that fall into it. In addition, the Whirlpool Traps will return the baby seal back to its starting position.

If possible, push any enemy baby seals into the Whirlpool Traps, making it easier to defeat them after they respawn.

Match Results
5.23.

Championship 2: Hyacine

Note: You will be banned from using Bubbles in the following Championship battle, as Bubbles has joined Hyacine's team instead.

Your next opponent in the Championship stage will be Hyacine, who has teamed up with Bubbles.

Team Preparation

Hyacine's team consists of the following baby seals:

  • Mega Seal
  • Bubbles
  • Red Hot Seal

If you have never used Bubbles previously, this chimera can gain an extra turn upon defeating any baby seal in the round. Combined with the possible ATK bonus from Mega Seal, Bubbles may be one opponent to fear.

5.24.

Arena Information

Arena Information

This Arena features both spiky pillars and a floatie pillar for baby seals to bounce off of. Try to avoid knocking your baby seals into the spiky pillar too much, as Bubbles can get an extra action if your baby seal is defeated.

If you have beaten Hyacine, congratulations on winning the Championship! But wait, there's more...?

5.25.

Championship 3: Cipher

As it turns out, the Phantom Thief Cipher decided to steal the Gold Seal Cup and challenges you to a battle. You must defeat her to get back what you deserve!

For this match-up, you are required to use Bubbles, who has returned to your team.

Team Preparation

Cipher's team consists of the following baby seals:

  • Common Grey Seal
  • Spikey Seal
  • Common Grey Seal

The Common Grey Seals should not pose that much difficulty, as they do not have any abilities. However, Spikey Seal is incredibly difficult to knock-out, with 77 HP to boast. On top of that, any collisions with Spikey Seal will make your allied baby seals take DMG.

Thankfully, the Spikey Seal cannot launch very fast or far, even at its highest speed. Just be careful to not knock into it too often.

5.26.

Arena Information

Arena Information

This Arena features a frozen pool that will make baby seals launch further and longer. The ice will make it easier to collide multiple times with other baby seals.

Bubbles has a unique Phagousa's Blessing this battle, as Bubble Block prevents Bubbles from taking DMG on collision with the Spikey Seal. In addition, the higher ATK will also make activating Bubbles's extra action easier during the round.

The Phagousa's Blessings this match will primarily power-up Bubbles, so try to take advantage of them whenever possible!

Match Results

Once you defeat Cipher, you will begin the Seal Slammers: Epilogue quest, signaling the end of Seal Slammers.
