Omega Planetes Combat Guide
Enraged State
Omega Planetes is located in the Forbidden Lands and you can hunt it down once you reached HR100+. The first thing you should do is act as if you are in an MMO with this monster. You want to bring the same type of team as you would in FFXIV light teams: one Tank, One Healer, and a few DPS. Make sure to take weapons with Thunder element, and secondary weapons with Paralysis as both Omega and the Nercylla clone that appears during the fight are weak to it.
We also recommend you equip the Pictomancer item as it can deal over 1000 DMG per 90 Seconds when you use it. Make sure you have an easy access to it so you use it as often as you can.
You also want the following defensive skills:
- Fire Resistance (counter flamethrowers)
- Divine Blessing (damage reduction)
- Stun Resistance (avoid being stunned by Charge attacks)
- Guard Up Level 3 allows blocking most attacks with weapons like Lance or Great Sword
Do not hesitate to use the environmental Traps as well. Boulders and walls in Rimechain Peak can deal a nice amount of damage, knock down Omega Planetes, and interrupt attacks.
Main Mechanics
Pantokrator Mode
- Omega Planetes becomes more aggressive and its attacks are empowered.
- Deactivate Pantokrator Mode by breaking a total of three wounds on its legs.
Enmity
- Attacking its head repeatedly draws its focus to one hunter.
- A red line indicates the hunter currently holding Enmity.
- Tank Swap: If the tank gets the HP Penalty debuff, another hunter should take Enmity until the debuff expires.
Shields
- Shields protect you from most beam and missile attacks, but not physical attacks like Foot Slam or Body Slam.
- Shields can be generated by:
- Destroying Omega Micros
- Breaking head wounds
- Using Shield Generator ammo obtained from broken legs
Nerscylla Clone
- Appears before Delta Attack.
- Defeating it quickly generates a shield that blocks the Delta Attack. Failure results in a team wipe.
Omega Planetes (Savage) Variant
Similar to FFXIV, Omega Planete has a Savage variant. This one is even more powerful and has small mechanics changes during the fight:
- Higher Stats & Damage: Tempered-like version that deals more damage and has more HP.
- All Attacks from Start: Uses full arsenal immediately.
- New Ice Attack: Can inflict Frostblight, immobilizing hunters.
- Recommended: Play with pre-made team, have two tanks, and max out armor upgrades.
- Fire Resistance of 20 recommended to counter Flamethrower attacks.
