With crumbling structures, overgrown vines, and the mysterious energy of the Wyrmways, this area is full of hidden dangers. Rare materials, unique wildlife, and powerful monsters make it a challenging but rewarding place to explore.

The Ruins of Wyveria is the fifth zone you can explore in Monster Hunter Wilds. A long time ago, this land was the base of an advanced Wyverian civilization. Now completely Lost, the Ruins of Wyveria only host unusual mysteries, unknown dangers, and traces of Lala Barina, more fierce than ever.

In regards to the area itself, the Ruins of Wyveria cycle through three distinct states, each affecting the environment and hunts:

  • Plenty
  • Fallow

Each state changes how you approach hunts, so keep an eye on the shifting conditions! This is the case for most big, known locations within the Forbidden Lands of Monster Hunter Wilds, as most of them cycle through various environmental changes.

Small monsters in the Ruins of Wyveria behave differently based on their habitat; some roam in packs, others hide in specific areas or shaded regions, and a few may gather around mineral deposits:

  • Porkeplume: Small monsters, mix of bird and wyvern, that defend themselves by puffing up the spikes on their head.
  • Rafma: Herbivore monsters that usually are found in cold environments only.
