1. Heroes Rexxar Works Well With

In this section, we will look at the heroes that work particularly well with Rexxar.

1.1. Abathur

Abathur Portrait Misha in particular makes for an excellent Symbiote Icon Symbiote target due to her great mobility and powerful presence during team fights. Furthermore, Abathur's Adrenal Overload Icon Adrenal Overload talent makes up for Rexxar's and Misha's slow attack speed, allowing them to deal more damage with their Basic Attacks. This becomes especially strong after acquiring Frenzy of Kalimdor Icon Frenzy of Kalimdor at Level 20.

1.2. Jaina

Jaina Portrait Jaina synergises extremely well with Rexxar due to the fact that they both benefit from each other's crowd control effects. While Jaina has a hard time chasing more mobile opponents, Rexxar's outstanding chase potential will help her to keep up the pace. Vice versa, Jaina offers some incredible follow-up to Rexxar's Misha, Charge! Icon Misha, Charge! ability. Jaina's various slow effects also allow Misha to unleash her full damage potential while Bestial Wrath Icon Bestial Wrath is active and reduce the risk of getting kited too much.

1.3. Johanna

Johanna Portrait Johanna's Condemn Icon Condemn is a very useful ability to pull multiple enemies Heroes together and thus pave the way for Rexxar to stun them with Misha, Charge! Icon Misha, Charge!. The same applies for Blessed Shield Icon Blessed Shield, which allows Rexxar and Misha to follow-up decently. Similar to Jaina, Johanna's various crowd control abilities help Misha to deal more damage while under the effect of Bestial Wrath Icon Bestial Wrath.

2. Heroes Rexxar Is Countered By

In this section, we will look at the heroes that counter Rexxar particularly well.

2.1. Illidan

Illidan Portrait Multiple escape mechanisms like Dive Icon Dive and Sweeping Strike Icon Sweeping Strike make Illidan a very unrewarding target to use Misha, Charge! Icon Misha, Charge! on, while Evasion Icon Evasion completely shuts down yours and Misha's Basic Attacks.

2.1.1. How To Play Against Illidan

Rexxar has a hard time fighting enemies like Illidan who are capable of quickly dodging and escaping his Basic Attacks and abilities. Thus, we recommend waiting until Illidan is already stunned or slowed or if you have just witnessed him using Dive Icon Dive and Sweeping Strike Icon Sweeping Strike, before using Misha, Charge! Icon Misha, Charge!. Aside from this, refrain from duelling him in a one-on-one situation, as his superior damage and self-sustain will be too much for you to handle.

2.2. Zeratul

Zeratul Portrait Zeratul is able to quickly approach Rexxar and deal a huge amount of burst damage while Misha is far away fighting the enemy backline. Furthermore, Zeratul's Blink Icon Blink ability allows him to simply dodge Misha, Charge! Icon Misha, Charge! and Spirit Swoop Icon Spirit Swoop, which makes him a very slippery target even for a strong chaser like Rexxar.

2.2.1. How To Play Against Zeratul

Picking Flare Icon Flare at Level 1 allows Rexxar to use a powerful scouting tool and potentially deny one of Zeratul's biggest strengths, which is his ability to attack from stealth. Furthermore, Feign Death Icon Feign Death can become a crucial talent to dodge Zeratul's dangerous sneak attacks during the late game.

2.3. The Butcher

The Butcher Portrait The Butcher can use Ruthless Onslaught Icon Ruthless Onslaught to charge at Rexxar without worrying about Misha's Misha, Charge! Icon Misha, Charge! or Spirit Swoop Icon Spirit Swoop. Once he engages Rexxar in close combat, The Butcher's superior damage and his permanent movement speed slow caused by Hamstring Icon Hamstring will make it very hard for Rexxar to escape him.

2.3.1. How To Play Against The Butcher

Keeping a healthy distance from The Butcher at all times is crucial, especially if you notice that he likes to focus you in particular. Try to keep Misha close to Rexxar and use Misha, Charge! Icon Misha, Charge! to prevent him from approaching you. Similar to fighting against Zeratul, Feign Death Icon Feign Death is a fantastic talent to escape The Butcher's Ruthless Onslaught Icon Ruthless Onslaught and dodge his Furnace Blast Icon Furnace Blast Heroic Ability.
