1. Heroes Tassadar Works Well With

In this section, we will look at Heroes that work particularly well with Tassadar.

1.1. Illidan

Illidan Portrait Illidan is a very fragile melee assassin and needs a lot of protection. Plasma Shield Icon Plasma Shield is the perfect tool to make sure he survives long enough to cause a lot of confusion within the enemy lines. Since Illidan is a very sticky Hero with great chase potential, your Oracle Icon Oracle trait allows him to have greater vision on fleeing or invisible targets in order to hunt them down easily. Talents such as Healing Ward Icon Healing Ward will provide further healing to both Illidan and the rest of your team, which is another reason why him and Tassadar get along really well.

1.2. Jaina

Jaina Portrait Your Plasma Shield Icon Plasma Shield will be Jaina's best friend because she will most likely become a high priority target for enemy initiators and assassins. Since you possess great range just like her, it will be easy to keep an eye on Jaina and make her survive a lot longer. Especially Zeratul — who is known to be a big threat for Jaina — can be denied if you time your Oracle Icon Oracle well. At the same time, the slow that Jaina provides with her spells will make it easy for you to land devastating Psionic Storm Icon Psionic Storms.

1.3. Zeratul

Zeratul Portrait Your fellow Protoss benefits greatly from your increased Oracle Icon Oracle vision radius before team fights, since Zeratul will be constantly on the lookout for isolated targets to jump on, or clumped up enemy Heroes that make a good target for Void Prison Icon Void Prison. Similarly to Illidan, your Plasma Shield Icon Plasma Shield will make sure Zeratul survives long enough to dish out his damaging spells.

1.4. Kerrigan

Kerrigan Portrait Plasma Shield Icon Plasma Shield will work wonders on Kerrigan, as it stacks beautifully with her Assimilation Icon Assimilation trait. Kerrigan is one of the most deadly initiators in the game, which will draw a lot of enemy attention onto her. If you manage to keep her alive, the enemy team will have wasted a lot of time and resources to try to burst her down. That leaves other Heroes in your team free reign to deal damage in the meantime.

2. Heroes Tassadar Is Countered By

In this section, we will look at Heroes that counter Tassadar particularly well.

2.1. Sylvanas

Sylvanas Portrait Her waveclear is overwhelming and even matches your Psionic Storm Icon Psionic Storm. Furthermore, she is capable of dishing out serious damage during the laning phase. You will have to constantly spam your Plasma Shield Icon Plasma Shield and Psionic Storm abilities to keep her in check and thus you will run out of Mana very quickly. But Sylvanas' great waveclear is not the only thing that causes a problem for you: if you are unprepared for her Wailing Arrow Icon Wailing Arrow Heroic ability, you can become an easy prey despite your elusive nature.

2.1.1. How To Play Against Sylvanas

Sylvanas can cause some serious problems if you do not spend your Mana carefully. Use your Psionic Storm Icon Psionic Storm as soon as Sylvanas casts her Shadow Dagger Icon Shadow Dagger ability to counter her AoE damage. Furthermore, do not hesitate to call for help from teammates if you get the feeling that you cannot hold the lane against her. It is strongly recommended to always keep an eye on Sylvanas before and during team fights, as her Wailing Arrow Icon Wailing Arrow Heroic is one of the few skills in the game which can prevent you from using Dimensional Shift Icon Dimensional Shift.

2.2. Murky

Murky Portrait While your Dimensional Shift Icon Dimensional Shift makes you very slippery and hard to catch, Murky's Octo-Grab Icon Octo-Grab Heroic ability will lock you in place, preventing you from using any of your abilities and making it easy for your enemies to kill you. Make sure to watch your position when you are playing against a team with Murky in their ranks. However, do not be scared to face him one-on-one because the he is a lot less scary without his team mates around.

2.2.1. How To Play Against Murky

If you find yourself laning against Murky, you will have to pay close attention to his Pufferfish Icon Pufferfish ability. It is Murky's major tool to clear minion waves and to damage your structures. However, you can kill the Pufferfish by attacking it with three consecutive basic attacks. This will not always be an easy task due to Tassadar's slow attack animation, but if you manage to destroy his Pufferfish in time, you will find Murky to be a lot less troublesome to deal with. Your Oracle Icon Oracle trait is very useful to detect and destroy Murky's weak spot, which is his Spawn Egg Icon Spawn Egg trait. Try to anticipate the potential location of the egg by watching from which direction Murky approaches you after he dies.

2.3. Malfurion

Malfurion Portrait Although Malfurion might not be a threat in a one-on-one situation, his overwhelming healing potential (especially due to his Tranquility Icon Tranquility Heroic Ability) will completely negate the AoE damage of your Psionic Storm Icon Psionic Storm and Archon Icon Archon basic attacks. Unless your team composition is heavy on assassins, it will be very hard to find a way through his potent Regrowth Icon Regrowth heals, especially after Level 20, when his already strong heals will most likely be supported by Storm Shield Icon Storm Shield.

2.3.1. How To Play Against Malfurion

Although Malfurion is a decent laner, Tassadar is able to to face him on equal footing. Make sure to constantly hit Malfurion with your basic attacks if he gets close to you, and protect yourself from taking too much damage by casting Plasma Shield Icon Plasma Shield on yourself in time. Malfurion has even greater Mana issues than Tassadar during the early stages of the game, so if you manage to make him use Regrowth Icon Regrowth on himself over and over again, he will eventually be forced to play very defensively. During team fights in the mid and late game, you should aim for Malfurion to become your main target. Hit him with your Psionic Storm Icon Psionic Storm and your empowered Archon Icon Archon basic attacks in order to make him use his supporting spells like Regrowth on himself, instead of his allies.

2.4. E.T.C.

E.T.C. Portrait E.T.C. is one of the most relentless and fearsome warriors to face as Tassadar. E.T.C's whole playstyle causes some difficulties for Tassadar, as you do not have any effective crowd control abilities like stuns or roots to prevent him from diving into your team. To make things worse, Mosh Pit Icon Mosh Pit is one of the few spells that will prevent you from casting Dimensional Shift Icon Dimensional Shift and thus make even the slippery Tassadar become an easy target to get burst down by the enemy team.

2.4.1. How To Play Against E.T.C.

Despite his limited damage potential, E.T.C. is able to cause some serious problems for Tassadar during team fights. You will need to position yourself away from him, but try to stay in casting range of your allies. Never use your Psionic Storm Icon Psionic Storm on E.T.C. alone, and instead try to ignore the him to the best of your ability. Save your spells for the squishier targets in the back ranks of the enemy team. Some E.T.C. players will play overly aggressively and move away too far from their teammates during team fights. If you spot such behaviour, do not hesitate to quickly burst him down with the combined efforts of your allies.
