Blizzard had a number of very exciting Hearthstone announcements at PAX East this morning, including a commitment to phone/mobile clients in the next couple of months and the all-new adventure, Blackrock Mountain.

A ton of information on Blackrock Mountain was unveiled, and information is available on the Hearthstone blog as well as the Card Sets section.

For starters, here is the Blackrock Mountain cinematic:

Eric Dodds described the adventure as you assisting Nefarian in taking on the agents of Ragnaros in an epic battle for control of the coveted Blackrock Mountain.

Blackrock Mountain will feature five wings of content and a total of 17 adventure encounters, as well as new class challenges.

A total of 31 new playable cards will be added to the game over the course of Blackrock Mountain's five week release window (beginning in April). Pre-orders for the Blackrock Mountain adventure begin March 19, and preordering includes a unique card back available exclusively for doing so.

The exclusive preorder card back.

The first wing will feature fights within the Grim Guzzler and the Blackrock Depths Arena, ending with an encounter against the Dark Iron Emperor.

Blackrock Mountain also introduces interactions with the Dragon minion type, including the exciting new anti-Legendary card, Rend Blackhand.

Will you preorder Blackrock Mountain for the specialty card back?

It's a battle of the bands as Nefarian and the Black Dragonflight take on Ragnaros and the Fiery Buddies in Blackrock Mountain, coming in April 2015.

This is the second time this Brawl appears.
The trend of Tavern Brawls themed after Death Knight Hero Powers continue: last week we had Rise of the Zombeasts, now we have Shadow Reflection.
In this constructed Brawl, you can craft a deck of any size with cards from your collection. The rest of the deck will consist of Shadow Reflections. Decks consisted of 30 cards (and thus with no Shadow Reflections) can still work, given that Odd Paladin has reportedly been successful (and a total fun breaker).
Judging from the previous time this Brawl was around, Aggro and OTK decks seems to be more favoured. Some decks that had success were Aggro Mage or Ice Lance Mage, Combo Priest with Radiant Elemental, Hunter with Mechwarper and Metaltooth Leaper and Quest Rogue. This time around a new Warrior deck, which mostly relies on Bring It On!, has surfaced to counter all the Priest Mind Blast madness.
      Good luck and have fun!

Starting first is often seen as better than going second, in spite of the extra card and The Coin that you receive at the start of the game. This is due to the loss of tempo from the missing mana. Although the difference in win rates is quite small, it still can be felt, especially in Aggro vs Aggro matchups, where going first results in a significant advantage.
Who goes first is decided by quite literally a coin flip—it is decided randomly, visualised by a coin toss. There is no way to affect whether you go first or second. However, you can mitigate the effects of the coin toss by playing a deck that is not affected as much by going first or second.

Both players get to play as Deathstalker Rexxar, the Hunter Death Knight!
It's time to experience how powerful Deathstalker Rexxar is; the hero card is, after all, included in some of the best decks of the current meta like Spell and Recruit Hunter.
The Hero Power is free in this Tavern Brawl, so you can use it all you want. It's better to use it first on your turn and it really tests your skill as you need to craft the proper Zombeast for the situation you are in. Your deck will also be filled with various random Zombeasts, as well as Hunter cards. Lastly, you will start at 3 mana.
Games can last long and your hand will be quite full most of the time, so be careful not to overdraw.
This Tavern Brawl is part of the Taverns of Time event. Good luck!
