The second of the two Last Chance qualifiers for the $50,000 SL i-League StarSeries took place on Wednesday, with JAB claiming the final place in the main event. The LAN finals will be held from January 22-24 in Belarus. The format for the qualifier was single elimination best of five conquest.

The first round consisted of Hoej against Orange, and Neirea against StanCifka. Lifecoach and JAB received byes to the second round, by virtue of them reaching the second group stage earlier in the event.

In the first match, Orange used Oil Rogue, Tempo Mage and Patron Warrior to overcome Hoej 3-1. In the other first round match, StanCifka brought Aggro Druid, Hybrid Hunter and Secret Paladin to take a 3-2 win over Neirea.

In round two, JAB used Patron Warrior, Mid Druid and Secret Paladin to get past Orange 3-1. StanCifka beat Lifecoach 3-1. Of note in this match was Lifecoach's use of Eye for an Eye in his Secret Paladin deck. JAB and Lifecoach both played Ragnaros the Firelord in their Secret Paladin, a card that is becoming increasingly popular in that deck in recent days.

This set up a final between JAB and StanCifka. JAB won the opening Paladin mirror match and took a 2-0 lead with Patron Warrior against Druid. He then closed out with Druid against Paladin in a very one-sided affair with turn one coin into Darnassus Aspirant, turn two Innervate into Druid of the Claw, and turn four Piloted Shredder. This was too much for StanCifka to overturn and JAB ran out a comfortable 3-0 winner.

Year of the Mammoth Arena Guide now available!
Our Arena Guide has been updated by Pesty, to fully reflect the format for The Year of the Mammoth.
As well as the new tier list for classes, the guide addresses each class in detail, so that you can get the most out of your Arena draft. It also discusses which Mana curves work well with which class, and how to pick on your opponents' likely weaknesses.
The new Tier List is shown below:
Tier 1 (Excellent): Mage, Rogue Tier 2 (Great): Paladin, Hunter Tier 3 (Good): Druid, Priest, Shaman, Warlock, Tier 4 (Average): Warrior For any feedback or questions about this guide, check out our Hearthstone General Discussion Forum, or comment in this thread.

The 97th Tavern Brawl is called 'An Ancient Recipe' and it offers players the chance to try out Journey to Un'Goro decks.
The rules of this Brawl are simple: you choose a hero and you get a premade deck with the Un'Goro deck recipe for that class. The deck archetypes are the following and we even have guides for most of them:
Quest Druid Dinomancer Hunter Elemental Mage (guide for almost identical deck here) Quest Paladin Quest Priest Quest Rogue Elemental Shaman Quest Warlock Quest Warrior All deck recipes have pretty good winning chances. This is a nice chance to play with cards you don't own and get to know the new Hearthstone expansion better.
