Na`Vi Xixo has written an interesting arcticle on his team's site. The article presents several cards that Xixo would change because he thinks they frustrate players. He then gives his proposals to balance those cards.

While there are no major surprises on his list of cards, he has some good ideas to keep them playable while making them more reasonable. His explanations make sense and it is always fascinating to see how top players would balance things.

The cards on his list are: Imp-losion, Dr. Boom, Innervate, Mad Scientist, Piloted Shredder, Loatheb, Mysterious Challenger, and Emperor Thaurissan.

He also had some fun on Twitter. Taking time to have a joke with Ben Brode, who tweeted that losing to Freeze Mage is less fun than losing to some other decks, because the win comes from nowhere. He mentions that Warsong Commander was also in this category. (source) Xixo replied to this with:

The text is a reference to the Warsong Commander nerf. Ben Brode took it in good spirits:

This is a reference to a comment he gave about keeping the soul of Warsong Commander when it was nerfed. A comment that many players disagreed with as they felt the card was completely ruined. It is good to know that the design team understand criticisms levelled at them, and are able to interact with the players in a fun way.

Starting first is often seen as better than going second, in spite of the extra card and The Coin that you receive at the start of the game. This is due to the loss of tempo from the missing mana. Although the difference in win rates is quite small, it still can be felt, especially in Aggro vs Aggro matchups, where going first results in a significant advantage.
Who goes first is decided by quite literally a coin flip—it is decided randomly, visualised by a coin toss. There is no way to affect whether you go first or second. However, you can mitigate the effects of the coin toss by playing a deck that is not affected as much by going first or second.

Both players get to play as Deathstalker Rexxar, the Hunter Death Knight!
It's time to experience how powerful Deathstalker Rexxar is; the hero card is, after all, included in some of the best decks of the current meta like Spell and Recruit Hunter.
The Hero Power is free in this Tavern Brawl, so you can use it all you want. It's better to use it first on your turn and it really tests your skill as you need to craft the proper Zombeast for the situation you are in. Your deck will also be filled with various random Zombeasts, as well as Hunter cards. Lastly, you will start at 3 mana.
Games can last long and your hand will be quite full most of the time, so be careful not to overdraw.
This Tavern Brawl is part of the Taverns of Time event. Good luck!
