Hearthstone's Senior Game Designer, Ben Brode, streamed live on Twitch on Tuesday night. Unfortunately there is no VoD of the event. It was a short Hearthstone stream and he played at rank 25. The stream peaked at around 1320 viewers and lasted forty minutes. It was titled: "New F2P Account!".

Brode, who admitted he didn't know much about streaming, apparently struggled to keep up with a very spammy chat on his first attempt. Anyone who has seen a busy Twitch chat will not be surprised by this. He did find the time to mention that they have tested some community made cards. He gave an example of a card called "Spirit Healer" in Shaman. There are two versions of this card that I can find, and it is not clear which one was tested, but it is good that they are looking at community efforts. They also tested a card that puts the last spell you cast back into your hand, but it kept putting itself back into the hand. It seems odd they couldn't fix this, so it was probably just an amusing anecdote rather than the reason it wasn't printed.

Hopefully he will take the time to stream again now that he knows what to expect. He only played one game, which he won. It is likely that this was a test for the future. He appeared to be having fun, so hopefully he takes some feedback and advice, sets up a stricter chat, and is back sooner rather than later.

Dear Ben Brode,

next time you make up some "fun" and "new" thing like the "exciting" standard format - pls dont.

Thank You,

Best regards

The team has finally responded to the community's concerns on the new Shaman legendary minion.
Two weeks after The Witchwood's release, Team 5 has addressed the issues surrounding Shudderwock. Its animation will go faster and it will cap at 20 Battlecries. Hopefully, it will be less of a nuisance now. Lifedrinker will also receive a bump on its animation speed.
I assume the fix will go live on April 26 along with the Monster Hunt.

Recently, our players have had feedback regarding the Shaman card, Shudderwock. We understand that the length of its Battlecry animation and other animations spawned from its Battlecry can be frustrating. In a future update, we will be doubling the animation speed of Shudderwock’s Battlecry so it will lessen the impact on the overall pacing of your current Hearthstone match. In addition, the amount of Battlecries Shudderwock can reproduce will be capped at 20.
We will also be speeding up the animation of Lifedrinker for similar reasons.
Thank you for your feedback, and we’ll see you in the Tavern.
      Cheers!

The rewards are different for each rank. You receive the chest for the best rank you achieve, so do not be afraid of dropping a rank. Additionally, after reaching a milestone rank (ranks in bold), you will not fall below them that season again. This means that if you lose a game at rank 15 with 0 stars, you will not drop to rank 16, but rather stay at rank 15 with no stars.
      Rank Reward 25-21 None 20 1 golden common, 5 dust 19 1 golden common, 10 dust 18 1 golden common, 15 dust 17 1 golden common, 20 dust 16 1 golden common, 25 dust 15 1 golden common, 1 golden rare, 5 dust 14 1 golden common, 1 golden rare, 10 dust 13 1 golden common, 1 golden rare, 15 dust 12 1 golden common, 1 golden rare, 20 dust 11 1 golden common, 1 golden rare, 25 dust 10 2 golden commons, 1 golden rare, 5 dust 9 2 golden commons, 1 golden rare, 10 dust 8 2 golden commons, 1 golden rare, 15 dust 7 2 golden commons, 1 golden rare, 20 dust 6 2 golden commons, 1 golden rare, 25 dust 5 2 golden commons, 1 golden epic, 5 dust 4 2 golden commons, 1 golden epic, 10 dust 3 2 golden commons, 1 golden epic, 15 dust 2 2 golden commons, 1 golden epic, 20 dust 1 2 golden commons, 1 golden epic, 25 dust Legend 3 golden commons, 1 golden epic You also receive a card back for winning 5 games during the season.
