Trash BiS

I posted something similar in the DK forum, but no bites. So here goes...

In 5.2 the Blood DK BiS weapon is a strength polearm.

Bo-Ris, Horror in the Night

http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=95498

This is a trash drop. I don't know if any other classes have this situation, but I find it interesting that obtaining this weapon won't be linked to progression....just down to how many trash runs I can make my guild go on with me!

I can't decide if I like this or not.....I guess if I get it in the first couple of weeks from trash, I'll be happy. Otherwise...its just too RNGy. I kind of like saving up my bonus rolls and hoping for a drop from a boss....feels like progression (even though it took me about 15 rolls on the Sha of Fear to get my LFR Axe).

I'm just interested in what you peeps think....

Are you certain it's BiS? We haven't started updated our BiS lists yet, but that would be surprising that a non heroic weapon is best in slot.

According to my findings (google-skills over 9000) this weapon does not drop from trash. It is in fact on the shared-loot table, meaning that it has a small chance to drop from every boss in the instance.

Thanks for the info....I must admit that it didn't make much sense to me.

I guess this is a good thing? I still don't like the fact that its not tied to one boss....hard to farm!

It's sort of a pain being a shared drop. The disadvantage is that it's going to be about a 1% drop, or maybe even less, but you potentially have 12 shots at getting it every week, +3 for all your coin rolls.

You could potentially get your heroic thunderforged absolute best in slot weapon from a coin roll on heroic Jin'Rokh, which is by far the easiest heroic.

Same in my case, inv_staff_2h_zandalari_c_01.jpgDarkwood Spiritstaff (BiS for both Feral and Guardian) is a shared drop from any boss in ToT. I got two of the LFR version in consecutive boss kills (Lei Shen and then joined one in progress and got another off Primordius).

      About Us
Skunkworks is a guild for players who can not or do not want to commit to the time-intensive raid schedules of traditional "hardcore" guilds.
However, we still maintain a high caliber player environment and make an efficient use of our raiding time.
We raid Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 - 11:00 PST, just 8 hours a week and never more.

We are very protective of our guild environment and selective in recruitment. We are looking for solid players mechanically as well as intellectually.
We all get paid to deal with idiots, why should we pay to spend our leisure time with them as well?

Skunkworks has been around for multiple expansions and has historically always been at the top of the 2-night raiding guild scene.

Hello all! I figured i'd make this thread to get some up to date information on the AOE rotation for unholy.  Currently i'm 935 ilvl, and I run Incstructor's fourth lesson and Soul. (For lack of a better option.) However it is my understanding that these two legendaries make for the strongest aoe rotation. Is this true?

That is my first question. My second is what is the priority for aoe when running these two. Is it to wait for defile to drop, then festering wound a target a couple times, then Scourge Strike? Or is the priority to just put Wounds on then pop them asap, dropping the defile whenever it's available. Typically I wait for defile before I start building Wounds, but given the soul and the extra talent, i suspect it's better to just aoe without Defile if it's unavailable or perhaps just better to rarely spend runes on defile? Curious as to your thoughts!

Anybody got any experience/tips or tactics they use as a fire mage ( or other specs that have any knowledge that may be able to apply in generality )

Hi, Im having shoulders with 925 ilevel, mastery and verstality, but also I do have shoulders 915 ilevel, haste and avoidance.

Whats better, lower item level but with best stats (haste/avoidance), or higher item level but with mastery and versa ??

In overall, is it better to aim for "best" stats or just push item level first?

      Hey all,
most likely something similar has already been asked but still I thought it cant hurt to make my own post.
Basically I am a Blood DK (https://worldofwarcraft.com/de-de/character/malganis/deathadan) and I am wondering which trinkets I should use.
Right now I am wearing a Feverish Carapace (Goroth, iLvl 900) and the Reliquary of the Damned (Desolate Host, iLvl 925).
Yet I recently acquired a Darkmoon Trinket Immortality iLvl 900 and I am unsure of which trinket to replace. Any Ideas?
I know the Goroth trinket is technically better but I am unsure as the reliquary provides 4k Stam.

      any help appreciated
