Are you ready for this year's biggest convention for all of our favourite Blizzard gaming titles? BlizzCon 2016 is seven months away!

We already had some clues and suspicions that BlizzCon 2016 would be taking place during these days, but today it was officially confirmed that indeed the convention will be happening on November 4th-5th. The website for this year's BlizzCon is also live.

+ Show

Summon your mounts, open up a portal, and set a course for Southern California for BlizzCon 2016! Blizzard’s tenth epic gaming convention and community celebration is returning to the Anaheim Convention Center on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5, 2016.

Group up with your fellow Blizzard gamers and get ready for two days of in-depth discussion panels with our developers, hands-on play time with our latest games, and intense esports tournaments featuring top pro gamers from around the world. We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate 25 years of Blizzard games—and you, the players everywhere that have helped bring them to life.

BlizzCon 2016 Tickets

BlizzCon 2016 tickets will go on sale in two batches on Wednesday, April 20 at 7 p.m. PT and Saturday, April 23 at 10 a.m. PT through the online event ticketing service Universe, priced at $199 each (plus applicable taxes and fees). Check out the BlizzCon Ticket webpage for all the details.

We’re also planning a special pre-BlizzCon Benefit Dinner the evening of Thursday, November 3 in support of Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), where guests will have a chance to raise a glass and geek out with developers, artists, community team representatives, and other members of the Blizzard family. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 27 at 7 p.m. PT, priced at $750 each, and attendance will be limited—visit the Charity Ticket page for more information.

Virtual Ticket and Goody Bag – Coming Soon!

If you can’t make it to the show in person, don’t fret! You’ll be able to participate in our tenth BlizzCon from the comfort of your home with the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, offering comprehensive live coverage of the event via a multichannel Internet stream. Once again this year, Virtual Ticket buyers will have the option to purchase a special BlizzCon Goody Bag filled with a cache of loot to mark the occasion (while supplies last). Further details on the Virtual Ticket, including pricing, availability, programming info, and Goody Bag will be announced at a later date.

Check out the BlizzCon Ticket page for more information, and be sure to visit the Universe ticket page at the dates and times above for a chance to purchase a ticket to the show. We hope to see you there!

The dates to buy tickets for BlizzCon 2016 are April 20th and 23rd. The tickets will cost $199 USD and will be distributed by Universe. If you are planning on attending, don't forget to read the ticket purchasing guide.

Apart from the various attractions and panels, Esports World Competitions for all four of Blizzard's current gaming titles will take place during BlizzCon 2016. These include the 2016 Starcraft II Global Finals, Hearthstone World Championship, World of Warcraft Arena World Championship and Heroes of the Storm Fall Championship.

It's interesting that Heroes of the Storm will have different champions for each season, while the issue of how the world champions will be determined is raised. It also doesn't look like there will be an Overwatch eSports event during BlizzCon 2016, even though the game has a flourishing competitive scene. It is not that strange, though, since the game will be live for less than half a year by November.

At any case, we are eagerly awaiting for this year's BlizzCon! Good luck to anyone trying to get a ticket!

Blizzard just announced there will be no in-person BlizzCon this year.
If you've planned on attending BlizzCon 2024, we've got bad news for you. The event will not be held this year. Here's what Blizzard had to say about its cancelation:
      (Source)
After careful consideration over the last year, we at Blizzard have made the decision not to hold BlizzCon in 2024. This decision was not made lightly as BlizzCon remains a very special event for all of us, and we know many of you look forward to it. While we’re approaching this year differently and as we have explored different event formats in the past, rest assured that we are just as excited as ever to bring BlizzCon back in future years.
Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing more details about our launches coming later this year, including World of Warcraft: The War Within and Diablo IV's first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. To celebrate these upcoming releases and to bring our communities together in new and special ways, we will soon share some exciting plans for other industry trade shows and conventions like Gamescom. We can’t wait to tell you more about those plans soon. We’re also looking forward to the Overwatch Champions Series’ stops at both Dreamhack Dallas and Dreamhack Stockholm. And we’re thrilled to be planning multiple, global, in-person events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Warcraft, which will be held in addition to the in-game celebrations across our Warcraft games throughout 2024. While these events are distinct from BlizzCon, we’re harnessing all of our creativity and imagination to ensure that they carry the same spirit of celebration and togetherness.
Our hope is that these experiences – alongside several live-streamed industry events where we’ll keep you up to date with what’s happening in our game universes – will capture the essence of what makes the Blizzard community so special.
No matter how you choose to connect with us at these events this year – whether it be in person or virtually – we can’t wait to see you there!

We're 2 hours away from this year's opening ceremony at BlizzCon and the community is already guessing what will be announced today, so we're taking a look at some bingo cards for the event!
      Bingo Card 1
The first bingo card talks about Thrall, Metzen, and of course "Storm" in the expansion name. Interestingly, it mentions Path of the Titans, a feature that was planned for Cataclysm but ultimately abandoned.

      Bingo Card 2
The second bingo card includes guesses like Dragonriding everywhere, WoW on game pass, and more.

      Bingo Card 3
The third bingo card boldly mentions a new expansion for Diablo 4!

      Bingo Card 4
The fourth bingo card includes guesses like Cataclysm Classic, Classic+, no Patch 10.3, and more.
