1 post in this topic

The third Insomnia Truesilver Championship will be held from 26-28 August, and will feature 8 invited players, alongside an Open section. However, other than current champion, Ness, the invited players have to qualify in their own mini-tournament starting today, June 28.

Predictably, as all of the players were invited, the Sacred Trial qualifying tournament is stacked. There are twenty invited players, and seven of them will qualify for the $30,000 event. Players have been split into four groups of five, and the winner of each group will advance. The second and third place finishers in each group will enter a Single Elimination playoff to find the other three qualifiers. The groups are as follows:

Group A:   Eloise,   Ek0p,   Lifecoach,   Ostkaka,   TidesofTime

Group B:   Naiman,   Ostkaka,   Powder,   StrifeCro,   Thijs

Group C:   Chakki,   Firebat,   SuperJJ,   Xixo,   Zalae

Group D:   AKAWonder,   Dog,   Gaara,   Hoej,   Rdu

The event will be broadcast live by Sottle and Raven on Twitch, starting at 6pm CEST on June 28 and 29.

Year of the Mammoth Arena Guide now available!
Our Arena Guide has been updated by Pesty, to fully reflect the format for The Year of the Mammoth.
As well as the new tier list for classes, the guide addresses each class in detail, so that you can get the most out of your Arena draft. It also discusses which Mana curves work well with which class, and how to pick on your opponents' likely weaknesses.
The new Tier List is shown below:
Tier 1 (Excellent): Mage, Rogue Tier 2 (Great): Paladin, Hunter Tier 3 (Good): Druid, Priest, Shaman, Warlock, Tier 4 (Average): Warrior For any feedback or questions about this guide, check out our Hearthstone General Discussion Forum, or comment in this thread.

The 97th Tavern Brawl is called 'An Ancient Recipe' and it offers players the chance to try out Journey to Un'Goro decks.
The rules of this Brawl are simple: you choose a hero and you get a premade deck with the Un'Goro deck recipe for that class. The deck archetypes are the following and we even have guides for most of them:
Quest Druid Dinomancer Hunter Elemental Mage (guide for almost identical deck here) Quest Paladin Quest Priest Quest Rogue Elemental Shaman Quest Warlock Quest Warrior All deck recipes have pretty good winning chances. This is a nice chance to play with cards you don't own and get to know the new Hearthstone expansion better.
