So the Gear Site hasnt been updated in a long time now. How is Zeks Legendary Cloak now doing, it went from 25% bonus damage to a whopping 100%

It's as we have listed it. Sits around the 3rd-4th priority depending on your spec. It's generally around 1-3% behind the wrists.

So...on the stat priority page...can someone explain

1. Haste till -12k (what?)

2. Mastery

3. Crit

4.Intellect (especially explain this as, its a primary stat and the others are secondary)

5.Haste (again)

6. Versatility

This seems incredibly convoluted, stat priority should be fairly simple and straight forward. I understand there may be different priorities for different talent builds, but they should be placed separately or at least explained a bit more in depth than this. I've never seen a stat priority page like this on this site. Its completely confusing and frustrating as I'm just getting back after an extended break and starting to play this character again.

Simming your character will get you the best results with this, honestly.

So:

  1. You need to seek gear with Haste on it as a priority until you reach 12,000 Haste stat points. You can find out your current Haste points by hovering over the Haste stat.
  2. Alongside that 12,000 soft cap, you'll be looking for gear with Mastery on it. Haste/Mastery pieces are very good.
  3. If you have already reached the 12,000 soft cap of Haste, then you can start to search for Crit on your gear. You will look for Crit/Mastery pieces especially, as long as they do not take you below 12,000 Haste.
  4. Intellect is ranked fairly low, so taking pieces purely for item level is generally not advised, unless it is a huge upgrade.
  5. Haste is here again, just in case you are past the 12,000 soft cap and you need to decide between a Crit/Vers or Crit/Haste piece of gear. Haste is better than Vers at all times.
  6. Vers is last.

Hope this helps.

What is the best Legendary? I see you mention the second best, but which is considered best for shadow?

Also, your legendary gear list shows iLevel 910 legendaries, not just for priest class.  Will this be updated soon? Because this is NOT 7.15 gear you're describing, it is pre-7.1.5, legendary iLevel is 940 now.

Also, Your link on the right says Gear, Legendary, and Best in Slot. Under this topic you are only listing legendaries. There's nothing else about best in slot. You used to have lists with best trinkets and a rundown of gears that were best. Seems that isn't there any more. Is this going to be re-added?

I believe the rankings are up-to-date, but the text below is not. Will get it looked at.

This is a tooltip error for the 940 issue - that's not something we can fix. As for the text, I'll get this looked at.

For trinkets, I need to ask Furty - for BiS, it just doesn't exist anymore. I can ask for a Nighthold BiS to be put up, but a total BiS is impossible. The likelihood of you getting every piece perfectly warforged to max item level is just not going to happen, basically.

Can someone please help me out?
My shadow priest have 8760 crit (28%), haste 9636 (26%) and mastery 3836 (44%).
I've been testing both  San'layn and Auspicious Spirits talents, and what I found is Auspicious is better even with this close value with crit to haste, and the guide says San'layn should be better in that case. Am I misreading something or just screwing things up?
Just for ilustration with my damn poor dps:
On raider's trainning dummy (I know some skills -mind flay- just pop on the side dummys and increases the dps a bit) doing single target rotation, I pull ~510k dps with Auspicious, and ~495k with San'layn.

HALP :/

When do you take the middle level 100 talent over legacy of the void in mythic +, if your comp has low AoE dmg or just in certain dungeons?

Both, tbh. It depends on a combination of the two. Having low aoe in a low aoe dungeon doesn't matter. You might have high AoE but need even more.

Here.

Edit: Actually, when I was searching for something on my bag. I found the following -
Loop of Vitriolic Intent (myth 7) ilvl 855, wich gives me 1531 haste and then I reach more than 10k, and 701 mastery.
On the other hand I found another ring: Ring of Contempt (myth 10) ilvl 865 with 1626 haste BUT  745 versatility.
As you can see, I'm using the Spellblade's one, because I didnt drop any better. Is it worth giving up the 890 ilvl ring for a 855?

Is taste supposed to be 12k or 12%? Currently, it's listed as 12k where all other class/spec pages list the recommended percentage.

Here.

The guide was correct, I think you misread. Auspicious should be doing more, not San'layn if you have a Crit-heavy set of gear. It was the correct choice to use AS.

We are currently in the process of updating our guides in preparation for the release of 7.2 - please understand that we will not be answering questions in this section about "What is better for 7.2?" prior to the patch release, since all the information will be available when the patch goes live. Please be patient and thanks for waiting!

Just from a quick glance, it looks like it might still be in the process of being updated - the main page of "7.2 changes" hasn't been filled in, so I'm assuming there's still some things to be added.

Let me pass this on and get Furty to take a look at it. He might have just overlooked it when adding things to the guide. Thanks and sorry for the delay! :)

Guest yes an update is req

also the shadowmoderator on 'howtopriest' has performed an up to date shadow legendery analysis heres the link

https://www.howtopriest.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&p=79560&sid=aebb6b47c8fa8a2954eea54e44617751#p79560

so in addition to the helm now being 'semi decent' on par it seems with usefuleness of trinket, we can see that the nerf to anunds shearing shackles has hurt it a fair bit

For the add-on - I've gone with 35% haste using previous data as a reference.

That should work, yeah. 12k is basically 32-35%.

While the big War Within pre-patch news is certainly Dynamic Flight being added to old mounts, the system is also adding a new option for Dracthyr!
Since players will be able to switch between Dynamic Flight and regular "static" flying, Dracthyr will gain the ability to fly like a regular old flying mount, including properly just hovering mid-air and looking cool. Here's MrGM's short video of the feature, where we can see that the race still retains the Soar liftoff animation, even with static flying:

Alliance players will be able to obtain three new wolf mounts soon. Check them out!
Wolves are typical for the Horde and so Blizzard decided to give Alliance players access to some as well in the near future through the Trading Post.
