what about Left Hand of Darkness  as relic? where is that on the ranking?

thanks for putting it in there ;)

on the netherlight page there are item values attached to the tier 2 bonuses, is there a similar evaluation for the normal relic perks?

I for example got shitty defensive perks on the relics from the vendor, but they give me 3-8 more ilvl. is that worth it? could I just count the ranking as the lowest is worth 1 ilvl, the second to lowest is worth 2 and so on or is it more complicated then that? or aren't they worth any ilvl and i should always pick the higher ilvl one?

Heya! I was wondering if Sentinel Medallion ever surpasses Whispers for Demo. I have a 895 Whispers with no real possibility to get a mythic, titanforged HC one, but I have a 925 Sentinel. I have a Rising Tide at 925-ish too, but I'm feeling the whispers really pulls down my Ilvl. Thx

I would recommend simming it yourself on raidbots.com - there is hardly any knowledge barrier and the information will be a lot more accurate pertaining to your specific character rather than a general answer from yours truly. That said, +4 weapon item levels is worth more than any crucible trait or relic (except Infernal Furnace, roughly equal).

Whispers, without a doubt.

If you have similar questions in the future, using RaidBots as Furty suggested above is really amazing for comparing gear:

https://www.raidbots.com/simbot/gear

It's quite a bit easier than using SimC, in case you're worried about it being too complicated or so.

Do we know how the Insignia of the grand army stacks up in terms of legos yet?

Edit: Is it possible to also get a trinket list at all?

AFAIK, it's pretty awful for Demo - even with perfect relics, it's mid-pack at complete best.

The latest stat update bumped down Intellect. But the example stat weights were not updated to reflect that. I know it is character gear specific, but can anyone share stat weights they are using for general purpose gear up?

I know this might not be the answer you're looking for, but I don't have any general weights to pass on. I can only advise using RaidBots to find them. It's an incredibly easy way of checking your own weights and, with how simplified it is there compared to SimCraft (all browser based), it should be simple enough to grab them.

For max imps before Thalkiel.

Guest Xardas is correct, with the Shadowy Insight + Power Trip build you want to pair up DE->SB to generate shards. This way you get the max benefit from Thal'kiel's Ascendance during a time when you have a high number of pets out. There is the risk of not getting to 4 shards, so you might need to toss in another DE or Shadow Bolt, but overall it is still a gain.

If you are using SI+PT for a 1-2 target fight, then you follow this sequence which achieves the same with one less GCD:

1. Precast Demonic Empowerment at ~2-3 seconds depending on distance to boss

2. Potion of Deadly Grace / Prolonged Power (negligible difference for 1 target, Prolonged for 2+)

3. Shadow Bolt

4. Doom target(s)

5. Grimoire: Felguard

6. Summon Doomguard

7. Call Dreadstalkers

8. Demonic Empowerment

9. Shadow Bolt

10. Demonic Empowerment

11. Shadow Bolt

12. Optional DE+SB until you have 4-5 shards

13. Hand of Gul'dan

14. Demonic Empowerment

15. Thal'kiel's Consumption

Thought I'd look into this a bit. With high haste levels, this way works best regardless of whether you miss the shard proc or not, since your cast times are low enough that the Dreadstalker duration is no issue. As you decrease the Haste level or put in anyone that has higher MS, if you miss that proc, you'll end up losing your Dreads before you end up using Thal's, which is then a far larger DPS loss than the gain you would have had.

If you do miss the proc with high Haste, it's almost certainly better to Shadow Bolt. There's no reason to DE at all at the end there, since you're just playing RNG again for no extra damage.

It seems like the one that's listed here/on LOSS is the opener that can't go wrong in that there is no RNG in it, but the opener you're listing is slightly better. I'll message Furty nonetheless, but it looks like it's just there for safety, basically, on both sites.

The DE in step #14 is to empower the imps, so to me it is necessary. On the topic of RNG, if your Haste is low enough that you run a risk of having Dreadstalkers despawn if you use another DE+SB pair, then you could break your conditioning and use HoG with 3 shards or you could play it safe and use SB x 4. It's probably 6 of one, half dozen of the other.

Yeah, I get you - I've put the note in for Furty so I assume we'll either see the opener replaced or a second one added.

You can probably get it down to 1:30 pretty easily, possibly lower with better gear. Lowest you can get it down to is probably a minute assuming perfect conditions.

It's definitely worth using.

In the section about Demonic Empowerment there's something that made me wonder:

Quote

2.3.1. Empowerment Overlap

... If you are fast enough, you will still be able to empower the Doomguard before it even finishes its first cast, meaning there is no loss of damage.

Is this correct? I though at some point it was changed so that the buffs only affected the proportional time they had been up during the cast. If I remember right this was done so that all the buffs were in the same situation as haste, because if, for instance, in a 10s cast you gained a +50% haste bufff exactly in the middle it'd be downed to 7.5s, meaning 50% of the effect, but a crit buff would give 0%, if taken into account in the beginning of the cast, or 100%, if in the end.

I know the difference would be very subtle, but I'm asking more for curiosity.

Hope I'm answering your question here, but there are dynamic and static statuses in the game currently. Some spells update dynamically, with the best example I can think of from my own experience being the Shadowfiend for Shadow Priest, where it's attacks per second scales directly with your current Haste levels. The damage from the Doomguard should follow the same process in regards to damage increases from DE, in that it takes constant snapshots before dealing damage.

A static one would simply snapshot when you cast and, regardless of the duration, buff for the entire duration of the cast. DoTs often work like this.

Post your logs to the Warlock forum and I will have a look there, I can't compare anything without seeing them.

Here's how you can upgrade your legendary weapons in Dragonflight Season 4 next week!
This one is for Fyr'alath and Nasz'uro owners. You must first farm 2 Antique Bronze Bullions. However, you can only acquire 1 Antique Bronze Bullion per week from Awakened Raid bosses. The bullion will drop in Raid Finder difficulty too.
Next week, the cap will be raised to 2 and a catch-up method will be implemented, so players who didn't have the chance to get their first bullion can get it from the weekly quest in Valdrakken.
Anyway, the soonest you can upgrade your legendary to the base item level of 502 is during the week of April 30th (so next week).
Once you have 2 Antique Bronze Bullions, head to the Parting Glass in Valdrakken.

Evokers need to buy Scale of Awakening from Iszinormi for 2 Antique Bronze Bullions. Death Knights, Paladins, and Warriors need to buy Scale of Awakening from Iszinormi for  2 Antique Bronze Bullions. Once purchased, use the consumable to upgrade your legendary to item level 502, the base item level for Season 4.
After that, you can further upgrade your legendary using Flightstones and crests. Check out our gear upgrading guide for more info!

Cache of Timewarped Treasures obtained from Black Temple Timewalking quest this week has a chance to contain Ashes of Al'ar!
Don't forget to complete this week's Timewalking raid! If you're having trouble getting into a group, create your own one, invite 2 tanks 4-5 healers and around 14 DPS and you are all set! Visit Shattrath, and talk to the Timewalking NPC to queue up for the raid.
The raid is extremely easy to compete and what's more, you get item level 493 loot along your way.
Upon defeating Illidan Stormrage and completing the quest, you will receive Cache of Timewarped Treasures that has an increased chance of containing Ashes of Al'ar or another piece of gear.
Demon Hunters shouldn't forget to get their warglaives transmog arsenal from Illidan and the reputation buff will help you add a couple of mounts to your collection!

Tama's Dragonflight Helper is a Weakaura that displays a weekly to-do list in the game and it's been updated for Dragonflight Season 4!
The WeakAura is very useful for keeping track of everything in the game at max level. It shows you a to-do list with the weekly tasks, provides you with the locations of rares, super rares, information about your current Renown standing, and more.

You will find Tama's Dragonflight Helper at wago.io. Please note that you must first download and install WeakAuras 2 to import the string.
