The schedule for this year's BlizzCon was just released and among the usual "what's next" and "state of the game" panels some of the more interesting ones will surely be the Diablo and Blizzard anniversary streams. Apart from that there isn't any specific time allocated for "big reveals", but then there  wouldn't be even if there were reveals to be had, and they may just come in the opening ceremony anyway!

Get ready for the most epic family reunion on the planet! BlizzCon® is returning to the Anaheim Convention Center on November 1 and 2, and you’re invited to join us for a weekend filled with games, esports, cosplay, and the latest news on everything Blizzard—all in celebration of the best community of playmates, teammates, and guildmates in the known universe.
Tickets to this year’s show go on sale May 4 at 10 a.m. PDT and May 8 at 7 p.m. PDT through AXS—check out the BlizzCon Event Info pages for all the details, and read on to learn about what’s in store.
GET TICKETS MAY 4 AND 8 Whether you’re exploring Azeroth with your closest friends, pushing the payload with trusted allies, or engaging in a friendly duel at the Tavern, your favorite games can feel like a home away from home. For a handful of days every year, the bonds people forge online manifest IRL at BlizzCon, as people from all walks of life converge in Anaheim to celebrate a shared love of games.
This year, we have some exciting updates designed to make the BlizzCon experience even more epic and memorable for everyone joining us—including a broader range of ticketing options and some new activities for attendees to rally around.
      An Epic Welcome
We’re kicking things off a day earlier this year with what we’re calling the BlizzCon Pregame Festivities, a “Welcome to BlizzCon” get-together in the plaza outside the convention center on Thursday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PDT. This casual gathering will give everyone a place to meet up and hang out with friends, enjoy food and drinks, and do a /readycheck before the main event begins Friday morning.
We’re also making room for more indoor activities this year by expanding the show into Hall E on Friday and Saturday. If you’ve been to BlizzCon before, that’s usually where registration and the BlizzCon Store resides—this year, the store’s heading to the North Hall, registration is moving off-site (nearby), and we’re recapturing the Hall E area to make room for some BlizzCon fun. We’ve got some playful plans in the works for that space, so stay tuned for more information.
And as always, BlizzCon 2019 will feature everything you’ve come to expect from the convention—the epic opening ceremony, developer panels across multiple stages, the Community Night contests, hands-on demos, world-class esports competition, and much more!
      A Trio of BlizzCon Options
As BlizzCon has expanded and evolved, we’ve heard from guests and attendees that they’d be interested in more options and conveniences for navigating the show and exploring at a different pace. With that in mind, we’re adding a new ticket—the BlizzCon Portal Pass—available in limited quantities in addition to the BlizzCon Pass and Benefit Dinner options. Here’s a breakdown of all three:
BlizzCon Pass – This is the core BlizzCon ticket you know and love, and what most BlizzCon attendees will want to go for. The BlizzCon Pass provides the same full general-admission access as in previous years, along with access to Thursday’s BlizzCon Pregame Festivities. You’ll also get the BlizzCon in-game goodies (to be announced), along with your choice of this year’s BlizzCon Commemorative Collectible, which you can read more about below. Learn more about the BlizzCon Pass.
BlizzCon Portal Pass – New for 2019! – The BlizzCon Portal Pass is your gateway to an array of extras, including access to the Darkmoon Faire area on the eve of BlizzCon for a special “Night at the Faire.” It also comes with convienct perks such as preferred parking, separate registration and security lines, an option to be among the first to enter the show on Friday and Saturday, a dedicated lounge for taking a load off during BlizzCon, and more. Learn more about the BlizzCon Portal Pass.
BlizzCon Benefit Dinner – Returning for 2019, the BlizzCon Benefit Dinner gives you a chance to meet and chat with developers, artists, and other folks from Blizzard the night before the show at a laid-back charity dinner—all for an exceptional cause. Your BlizzCon Benefit Dinner purchase also comes with entry to BlizzCon and all of the BlizzCon Portal Pass perks. As in past years, the net proceeds from the BlizzCon Benefit Dinner go to benefit CHOC Children’s, whose mission is to nurture, advance, and protect the health and well-being of children. Learn more about the BlizzCon Benefit Dinner.
And of course, for those who can’t make it to Anaheim in person, there will be ways to watch BlizzCon online, as well as get this year’s commemorative in-game goodies. We’ll share more information on our plans for experiencing BlizzCon at home in the future, so stay tuned.
      How to Get Tickets
      New for 2019!
This year, we’re teaming up with online ticketing vendor AXS to sell tickets to BlizzCon 2019. Tickets will be sold in two batches, with quantities of all three ticket types available on both dates:
      BlizzCon Ticket Sale #1: Saturday, May 4 – 10 a.m. PDT
      BlizzCon Ticket Sale #2: Wednesday, May 8 – 7 p.m. PDT
Online waiting room opens approximately 30 minutes before on-sale time
GET TICKETS MAY 4 AND 8 AXS provides tickets for a wide variety of major events, and they’re the ticket provider for our own esports events at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles. If you’ve bought BlizzCon tickets in the past, AXS’s system works a bit differently from those in previous years. To learn more about the key changes and get yourself ready, check out our 5 Things You Need to Know About Buying BlizzCon 2019 Ticketsblog.
If you want to set up an AXS account in advance and save yourself a step during the ticket-buying process, you can head to the BlizzCon AXS account registration page. Alternatively, you’ll have the option to log in using your Blizzard account during ticket sales, if you’d prefer.
Either way, note that once you’ve purchased tickets, they will be digitally delivered to you prior to the show via the AXS app, which you’ll be prompted to download to your mobile device at your convenience following the ticket-purchase process.
BlizzCon 2019 Commemorative Collectible – Celebrating 25 Years of Warcraft®
BlizzCon 2019 just so happens to coincide with a very special anniversary. This year, we’re celebrating 25 years of the Warcraft universe, and to mark the occasion we’re giving away something uniquely Azerothian to BlizzCon attendees.
In place of the usual BlizzCon Goody Bag we’ve given out in the past, this year’s BlizzCon-goers will receive their choice of a special, premium BlizzCon 2019 Commemorative Collectible—either an Orc Grunt statue or Human Footman statue—representing a quarter century of conflict and camaraderie, but mostly conflict.
We’ll be producing quantities based on what people choose—so to accommodate production deadlines and have everyone’s statue ready in time for pickup at BlizzCon, you’ll need to decide which statue you want at the time you purchase your tickets. For those who might want to own both, the statues will be available for purchase separately during a limited pre-order window starting May 4, the same day as the first ticket sale.
Check out our BlizzCon 2019 Commemorative Collectible preview to get a closer look and learn more about making your selection.
This year’s BlizzCon is shaping up to be an epic one. Whether you hail from Taipei, Tristram, Kansas, or King’s Row, we can’t wait to welcome you back home!

As mentioned above, Blizzard will be celebrating 25 years of Warcraft in November this year and all BlizzCon attendees will receive a BlizzCon 2019 Commemorative Collectible in addition to the usual Goody Bag. You need to decide which statue you want when you purchase your tickets. There's a Human Foortman (Alliance) statue and Orc Grunt (Horde) statue.
      Blizzard (Source)
November 2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the Warcraft® universe, and instead of doing a typical BlizzCon® Goody Bag as we have in past years, we’d like to commemorate the occasion by providing BlizzCon attendees a distinctly Azerothian memento.
We’re excited to announce that everyone who buys a ticket to attend this year’s BlizzCon will receive their choice of a special BlizzCon 2019 Commemorative Collectible—one of two premium statues in the style of the Blizzard Legends series, celebrating a quarter century of Warcraft’s timeless central conflict. Take up arms alongside the mighty Orc Grunt, or side with the bold Human Footman!
IMPORTANT! You’ll need to decide which statue you want at the time you purchase your tickets on May 4 or May 8. We’ll be producing quantities for pickup at BlizzCon based on what people choose, and locking in your selection now helps us ensure we’ll have everyone’s statue ready in time for the show!
Zug zug! Mark the 25th anniversary of Warcraft with this mighty axe-wielding Orc Grunt.
Ready for action! Honor the legends of Azeroth with the fierce and noble Human Footman.
Since statue choices are locked in at the time of ticket purchase, make sure to sync up with family and friends in advance to determine which one everyone wants. BlizzCon attendees will pick up their preselected statues with their badges at the show—and keep in mind that if you choose to transfer tickets (find out more), the selected statue will stay connected to that ticket.
In addition, anyone who wants either statue (or both!) will be able to purchase the Orc Grunt and Human Footman for a limited time on the Blizzard Gear Store starting May 4. Statues purchased during this window will be shipped directly to your home around the time of BlizzCon. Stay tuned for more details.
Here’s to 25 years of Warcraft—we’re looking forward to celebrating with you at BlizzCon!

If you want to participate in this year's community night contests (info mainly for cosplayers), Blizzard posted a list of categories for the costume contest.
      Blizzard (Source)
Attention all cosplayers, moviemakers, artists, and other creators throughout the Blizzard community!
Each BlizzCon, we look forward to seeing you take the stage to show the world your creativity and talent. With today’s announcement of BlizzCon® 2019, we wanted to give you a head’s up that entries for our Community Night contests will be opening up in the next few weeks to give you as much time as possible to perfect your work.
If you’ve been to multiple BlizzCons, you know that we’ve been evolving Community Night to deliver the best show we can for everyone watching and all the contestants participating. While we’re still finalizing details of this year’s contests, we wanted to let you know that we’re once again planning a cosplay contest and exhibition, talent contest, movie contest, and art contest, so it’s safe to go ahead and get started on your creations.
If you’re participating in the costume contest, we also wanted to give you a heads up on this year’s categories:
Artisan Crafting: This category focuses on the fine details, recognizing skills that really shine close-up, such as meticulous tailoring and embroidery or intricate leatherworking details. Large-scale Fabrication: This category recognizes excellence creating costumes and props that are "larger than life," such as mechs, power armor, and so on. Please note that if you’re planning to work on something like that, there will be size and mobility restrictions similar to last year. Weapons & Armor: This category recognizes the unique set of skills involved in crafting a battle-ready costume. Group Construction: This category is for teams of three or more people who each made significant contributions to the creation of a single costume. Outstanding Creation: This category recognizes costumes that are well-rounded and perfectly produced, or are outstanding in a way that does not fall in the other categories.  Thanks as always for your passion and support, and for helping bring BlizzCon to life with your creativity. We’ll have more to share with you soon.
      -The BlizzCon Community Night Team

Next up, is a compilation of 5 tips you need to know before buying a BlizzCon Pass.
There are 3 ticket options this year. The Ticket Waiting Room opens 30 mins early. You need to pick a statue at the time of purchase. Transferring tickets is permanent and the deadline for using the Transfer option is August 25 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. You must download the AXS Mobile App to get into the show [iPhone // Android]. Blizzard (Source)
BlizzCon 2019 tickets go on sale in two waves—one on May 4 and one on May 8—through AXS, and whether you’re a convention veteran or trying to go for the first time, it pays to be prepared.
Several things are changing about this year’s ticketing and badging process, and we’ve pulled together five pieces of essential BlizzCon 2019 ticket-sales intel.
There Are Three Options This Year In addition to the general-admission BlizzCon Pass and BlizzCon Benefit Dinner pass, we’ve introduced a third option to attend BlizzCon called the BlizzCon Portal Pass. Quantities of all three—including the BlizzCon Benefit Dinner, which had its own separate on-sale day in past years—will be going on sale both dates. (Read about each pass type in our announcement blog.)
When you arrive at the BlizzCon ticket page on AXS on the dates of the sale, you’ll choose which of the three options you want to try to buy. Each of the three passes will have its own completely separate “Waiting Room” (more on that below!) and purchase process, so if you want to try to get all three, you’ll need to enter each Waiting Room individually.
The Ticket Waiting Room Opens 30 Minutes Early AXS’s ticketing system features a “Waiting Room” where people wait to find out if they’re selected for a chance to buy tickets. This Waiting Room opens roughly 30 minutes prior to the official on-sale time—but don’t worry too much about arriving far in advance.
Once the ticket sale officially begins, a number of people in the Waiting Room will be selected randomly for a chance to get tickets. So whether you get in the Waiting Room early or just before the sale starts, as long as tickets are available, your odds of getting tickets are the same.
If you’re selected, you’ll have 7 minutes to complete your purchase before tickets are released back into the available pool. AXS’s Waiting Room also has measures in place to guard against ticket-buying bots (learn more).
You’ll Need to Choose a Statue as You’re Buying Tickets This BlizzCon, instead of having the typical Goody Bag as in past years, we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of Warcraft by giving each BlizzCon ticket purchaser their choice of one of two BlizzCon 2019 Commemorative Collectible statues—an Orc Grunt or a Human Footman—and you’ll need to lock in your selection(s) as part of the ticket-buying process.
Here’s how it works, using the core BlizzCon Pass as an example:
If you get through the Waiting Room, you’ll immediately be presented with two options: “BlizzCon Pass with Grunt” and “BlizzCon Pass with Footman.” You’ll need select a quantity for each of them (up to a maximum total of 4), then click Next to advance to the next page.
So, for example, if you want to buy three BlizzCon Passes total, and want two Orc Grunt statues and one Human statue with those passes, you’d select BlizzCon Pass with Grunt x2 and BlizzCon Pass with Footman x1, then click Next.
After you click Next, you’ll then simply reconfirm that you want 3 BlizzCon Passes total by clicking Find Tickets. That will take you to a new page where you fill out your billing information.
Remember, once your ticket purchase is complete, your choice of statue is locked in! When a ticket is scanned at badge pickup, the ticketholder will receive whichever statue was selected at the time of ticket purchase, even if you transfer the ticket to another guest. Speaking of which….
Transferring Tickets Is Permanent! When you purchase BlizzCon tickets, all of them will stay in your name—and in your AXS account—unless you decide to transfer one or more of them directly to your guests using AXS’s Transfer option.
Unlike previous BlizzCons, where ticket buyers could edit the names of their guests at will until a specific deadline, AXS’s Transfer option permanently hands the ticket over to your guest for them to manage. Your guest can then do with it as they wish (including transfer it to someone else), and you’ll no longer have it in your account. Just make sure you're transferring to someone you trust!
The deadline for using the Transfer option is August 25 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
You’ll Need the AXS Mobile App to Get Into the Show To pick up your badge at registration this year, you’ll need to download the AXS Mobile App. The app displays a QR code (one code for all of your tickets), which changes at regular intervals to help guard against dupes and fraud. Because of that, we won’t be able to accept paper tickets, confirmation emails, or screenshots/photos of the QR code at BlizzCon registration.
After you buy your tickets, you should receive an email from AXS with instructions on how to download the app, or you can download it at any time for iPhone and Android.
If for some reason you find yourself at the show with a dead mobile device or some other unexpected issue preventing you from accessing the app, don’t worry. Just head to the Solutions Desk at registration and they’ll help you out.
      Ready Check!
If you want to set up an AXS account in advance and save yourself a step during the ticket-buying process, you can head to the BlizzCon AXS account registration page. Alternatively, you’ll have the option to log in using your Blizzard account during ticket sales, if you’d prefer.
And if you want even more nitty-gritty details, including things like lists of items you can bring into the show, registration hours, and more info on the badge-pickup process, make sure to explore all of the pages in the Event Info section of the BlizzCon website.
      GLHF!

If you're planning to attend BlizzCon, it's a good idea to book your hotel in advance, because accommodation tends to get expensive around the time of the venue. Alternatively, you can check out Airbnb (Anaheim, CA).
      Blizzard (Source)
We have a lot of excitement planned for you for BlizzCon 2019, but you’ll eventually need to catch some zzz’s while you’re out here. Unfortunately, we can’t let you sleep in the Anaheim Convention Center . . . so it’s a good thing that nearby hotels have rooms set aside for BlizzCon attendees at special discounted rates.
Head to the BlizzCon 2019 hotel website to book your room now.
FIND A HOTEL If you’re looking for a specific hotel you don’t see listed yet, check back later—new housing options will be added as the show draws near!
For more information and updates that will help you on your journey to BlizzCon, keep an eye on our BlizzCon Travel page.
Finally, it's time to look at WoW Esports at BlizzCon 2019! Expect AWC and MDI Global Finals!
      Blizzard (Source)
With the BlizzCon 2019 announcement, we wanted to give more details about the WoW esports on offer in Anaheim, California this fall. BlizzCon this year will have two days of WoW esports celebrations, with the Arena World Championship (AWC) Global Finals and Mythic Dungeon International (MDI) Global Finals sharing the World of Warcraft stage during both days of the event.
Arena World Championship (AWC) Global Finals

The AWC Global Finals will host eight teams at BlizzCon: five from North America/Europe, one from China, one from Asia-Pacific, and one from Latin America, all of whom will battle in a double-elimination bracket. In its 12th year and with more seasonal Cups than ever before, the AWC Global Finals are sure to deliver as new and veteran players alike fight for the championship.
Mythic Dungeon International (MDI) Global Finals

The finale of the MDI will feature the top two teams from the Spring Season LAN and the top two point-earning teams from each division (based on yearly points) flying to California to race live and in person. These six teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket for the title of 2019 MDI Global Finals champions and their share of the prize pool. After making the transition in 2019 from an invitational series to a year-long, international program, our dungeon-runners will display peak performance on the biggest WoW esports stage in the world.
The prize pools for the AWC and MDI will include contributions from the sales of the Transmorpher Beacon and Lion’s Pride/Horde’s Might Fireworks toys. These contributions will be split down the middle, adding an equal amount of money to both prize pools. All your support for our gladiators and racers so far has been phenomenal, and we will provide an update on the final prize pools as we get closer to November.
For more information about BlizzCon 2019, head to the official BlizzCon website, and stay up to date with all things World of Warcraft by following us on Twitter.
BlizzCon returns to the Anaheim Convention Center this year and tickets will go on sale May 4.

According to Blizzard's latest post, BlizzCon 2018 will primarily focus on an upcoming patch and not Tides of Vengeance. The article also comes with information on additional security updates at the convention.
It almost sounds like we're getting Patch 8.1 right after BlizzCon. We know that Battle of Dazar'alor won't open immediately with the release of 8.1 and Blizzard said they're adopting the Legion patch cycle in Battle for Azeroth. Each Legion patch has been 77 days apart and Battle for Azeroth launched 76 days ago!

Hey guys! Just wanted to take some time to set some expectations ahead of time when it comes to all of the announcements and discussions when it comes to what we’ll be talking about at BlizzCon this weekend, as well as remind everybody of some changes when it comes to security this year for attendees.

As you all are probably aware, we’ve been hard at work on the upcoming Tides of Vengeance content update. We are very excited for this update and it is very much our immediate focus and will continue to be until after we’ve delivered it to you all. At BlizzCon you’ll be hearing us talk mainly about what comes after Tides of Vengeance. We do plan on discussing some of it, but as many of you know, BlizzCon is where we typically talk about longer term goals and plans. The feedback you all have given us about Battle for Azeroth is something we are very grateful for and we can’t wait for you to experience everything coming with Tides of Vengeance.

For those at home on the Virtual Ticket, please let us know what you think about all the things we share that are upcoming for World of Warcraft.

As for the security updates I mentioned earlier, we recently posted a blog on the BlizzCon site that I want to mirror to increase awareness. We’ve enhanced our security this year so I want to make sure to mention that you guys should look at arriving earlier than previous years especially if you’re wanting to catch the opening ceremony live on Friday.

As for the measures we’ve added Metal Detectors as well as Bag Checks at every point of entrance this year. For any additional information about locations of entrances, ADA accessibility, cosplay check-ins, and restrictions, please check out the post on the BlizzCon site about the updates to the usual processes this year:

Blizzard have finally announced the full schedule for all the panels, competitions, tournaments and events that will be shown at BlizzCon on November 2nd through the 4th! Obviously the opening ceremonies are the main focus, just in case we get some brand new announcements (gogo Diablo 4), and among the many "What's Next" panels and World Championship tournaments for the various games we have a Diablo: World and Q&A panel in addition to a what's next one (and we really, REALLY want an answer to that question for the Diablo franchise). Also of note is the Lorecraft: Creating Memorable Characters and BfA Cinematics panels, where we might get some more discussion on the disappointment some players are feeling in the story/character development in WoW.

In any case, there's a lot going on this year, and with the Virtual Ticket including access to the WoW Classic demo, as well as faction cloaks for WoW characters and a lot more, it seems there will be many viewers, among which many excited Diablo fans are just waiting to be disappointed.
Here's the full schedule for each day.
      Friday, November 2nd:

      Saturday, November 3rd:

      Sunday, November 4th:

The full BlizzCon schedule is here and there seem to be some hints at a Diablo-related announcement!
So, on a scale of 1 to (D) 4, how likely do you think a Diablo announcement is and how ecited would you be if there was one?
