Aran's Relaxing Ruby and Enhancement shaman

3 posts in this topic

Greetings everyone!

I'm trying to figure out if Aran's Relaxing Ruby ( http://www.wowhead.com/item=142157/arans-relaxing-ruby&bonus=3453%3A3453 ) is viable for Enhancement.

There are 2 particular moments about it:

Does it scale with our mastery as other trinkets or no (because it doesn't increase written damage on it)

Does it proc often from all our attacks + according to changes in 7.1.5 on the PTR soon we will be running all with fury of air - that means even more magic attacks per second.

What do you think about that trinket?

P.S. at the moment I still don't have one that's why can't test it

Got one to tinker with tonight and I can confirm it does scale with master with hits averaging around 456k and crits 912k with 74% mastery. It does proc on some of our spells but I have not narrowed down which ones specifically. It either has a really low proc chance or not many of the enhance spells proc it. Only had 4 procs during viz'aduum kill 3:44sec but it hits like a truck

It does scale with Mastery, but the major thing against it is that it will not proc off of Stormstrike, similar to Devilsaur Shock-Baton and Swarming Plaguehive. Is it still usable? Absolutely, but as of yet it does not seem that top raiders are using it for Enhancement; they certainly are using it for Elemental however. As to whether it will be better in 7.1.5, the latest blue said that they are only halfway through their tuning changes and nothing is final yet.

Location: Horde – US Connected Realms: The Venture Co - Maelstrom - Lightninghoof
      About us:
Converge has been around since WoW Vanilla and has been raiding together since Molten Core; most of our members have been playing together for years. In its older days, when most of us where young, we were more raid focused and demanded a lot from our members. Over the years we had to adjust our playtime and priorities with a growing list of RL responsibilities and are now, for all intents and purposes, a two day raiding guild. We had to cut our total hours spent playing WoW but we still remain just as competitive and result oriented.
      Mandatory reading.
Basics: ilvl 885+; 40+ points in MS Artifact Weapon; DMG Dealers 400k+ DPS ST.
Raiding 101: ability to execute/avoid fight mechanics; communicate in English and use a microphone.
We raid twice a week, a total of 8 hours; attendance of 90% is mandatory. We require you to function at 100% from the second the raid starts all the way to its end; if you cannot commit to a raiding schedule and be online on time this is not a guild for you.
GRepairs and flasks are provided by GBank; members pitch in mats and/or gold to help out. Guilds preparedness to raid and supply its members with enchants/etc is a team effort. If you are accepted as a member be prepared to do your part.
Currently we are trying to build up our roster to start Mythics.
      Raid Times: 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM Eastern Time – Monday/Tuesday.
      Recruitment: Ranged DPS / Heals.

      Legion Progression:
      EN 7/7 Normal - 7/7 Heroic - 4/7 Mythic
      ToV 3/3 Normal - 3/3 Heroic
      NH 10/10 Normal - 10/10 Heroic

      Contacts:

Do not send forum PMs, get in touch in-game; likewise do not contact unless you are ready to transfer if accepted for a permanent raid spot.

Wolflan Gaming now has its own World of Warcraft guild! It is located on Silvermoon(EU) on Alliance side. We are currently recruiting members from the organization, and as soon as we are ready, we will move towards events involving PvP and PvE. For more info, contact Bauntix, whom oversees the guild.
If you want to join the guild, you will have to join the organization first. Head to our homepage ‘www.wolflan.com’, after which you will have to go through an introduction to the rules of the organization. When you are all signed up, you are ready to join us in Azeroth!

      Quick info:
      Guild Name: The Dark Swarm
      Faction: Alliance
      Realm: Azuremyst/Staghelm connected Realms- US
      Realm Type: Normal (PvE)
      Realm Timezone: CST
      Battlegroup: Shadowburn
      Progression: 7/10 H NH
Raid Times: 9pm- 11pm server (progression); 2pm server (open-door casual)
Raid Schedule: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday (progression); Saturday (open-door casual)
Openings: We are accepting all classes/races/levels/playstyles.

The Dark Swarm {US Azuremyst/Staghelm connected PvE Realms} is looking for laid-back adults (18 and up) that want to have fun and be a part of a friendly, relaxed guild- perfect for people with the duties of full time jobs and floating schedules.

We are always looking to bolster our roster! Re-rolls are welcome, or if thinking about transferring, feel free to roll a level 1 to contact us with any questions.
Some things The Dark Swarm is:
►A guild who has been around since BC.
►A place for fun, mature people. You must be 18+ to join. Sense of humor strongly recommended ☺
►Progression raiding, with more casual raids on the side. Our progression team raids three nights a week- Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, from 9pm- 11pm server. The 'open-door' , more casual raids usually happen on Saturdays at 2pm server, if there is enough interest. We do expect people that raid to know their class, do research, and prepare themselves. Have your talents set, sockets gemmed, and gear enchanted. Bring food, flasks, and pots. We require use of DBM. Punctuality is important.
►A guild interested in doing all kinds of content. Some of us like to PvP, others like to run heroics, mythic+, and raids. Some like to level characters and professions, some love to collect things and camp rares. We welcome all styles of gameplay.
Some things The Dark Swarm is not:
►A hardcore raid guild. If you are looking to raid Mythics, we are not for you. We have no interest in anything past Heroics for raids.
►A leveling guild. We accept characters of all levels, but we are looking for people who want to make us their permanent home, not leave once capped and geared.
►A hardcore PvP guild. Some of us do Arenas and aim to start Rated Battlegrounds, but if you want a guild who is strictly PvP oriented, we might not be a fit for your interests.
The Dark Swarm is interested in:
      ►'Casual-core' raiding.
►Guild events. We have many events in the works, with more being added.
►Achievements. We enjoy getting groups together for achievements including metas for mounts, and guild achievements.
►Past content; we like to go back into some older content for fun from time to time as well. Examples are guild OS3D to get people Drakes, or BC raids for Transmog gear.
►Fun; most importantly, continue to be a relaxed environment to hang out in and meet fun people. Play when you want, the way you want.
