Jeff Kaplan took to the forums a while ago and addressed some questions, and the big news that came from that session was that there are some changes coming to Pharah on the PTR soon. There's a slo a dev update video coming next week, but it probably won't be Pharah related, as he said they're not sure when those changes will be coming and the video is already recorded. The other news is that the dev team is not happy with progress being segmented on the various platforms, so your skins and other cosmetics don't transfer between PC, Xbox or Playstation and that they're brainstorming solutions.

The Busan patch is live and aside from the new control map we also get the changes to charging and charged Heroes aka Brigitte and Reinhardt, a change to crits for weapons that fire multiple shots at once, some aim sensitivity changes and Widow's grappling hook. We also finally get the cosmetics filter for the Hero gallery, making it easy to find what you're looking for! There'a a lot of bug fixes to be had as well:

NEW MAP – BUSAN
Travel to Busan, South Korea and battle for control across three distinct locales within one map: Sanctuary, Downtown, and MEKA Base.
Explore the serene setting of the Sanctuary, surrounded by an ancient temple, beautiful gardens, and historic architecture. Clash in the bustling metropolis of Downtown, where players will fight across a busy PC bang, flashy karaoke bar, and central light rail station (just watch out for the train). Developer Comments While this is a bug fix, we wanted to highlight this change as it can affect gameplay by changing the damage output of the affected heroes in certain situations. After this fix, weapons with spread should now correctly calculate critical damage for each individual pellet that lands in a critical region (e.g. a headshot). The end result of this change is that it should be significantly easier to deal critical damage with any weapon that fires multiple shots simultaneously, such as Reaper’s Hellfire Shotguns and D.Va’s Fusion Cannons. In addition, we’ve changed the logic for when these weapons display a critical marker on your screen. It now requires 30% of your shots to be critical, rather than displaying it if a single pellet hits critically. Fixed a bug that would cause some weapons that fired multiple shots at once to inconsistently deal critical damage (e.g. Doomfist’s Hand Cannon, D.Va’s Fusion Cannons, Genji’s Shurikens, Reaper’s Hellfire Shotguns, Torbjörn’s Rivet Gun) Ana

Developer Comments Currently, when two charging targets hit each other, they both fall down and are briefly stunned. You can see this interaction with Doomfist’s Rocket Punch and Reinhardt’s Charge abilities. Brigitte’s Shield Bash previously wasn’t included in this group, which meant that if she used Shield Bash against these other abilities, she would generally stun them and not be affected herself. This change makes it so if she uses Shield Bash against Charge or Rocket Punch, both players will be knocked down. Shield Bash

The latest competitive season doesn't just bring the usual updates you'd expect, it's also increasing the "Avoid as Teammate" slots from 2 to 3, as well as adding Hammond/Wrecking Ball to the roster. It seems queue times weren't affected that much by the new feature, so an extra slot won't be that much of an issue there.

Unlocked at level 25, Competitive Play is designed for those players who want to put their skills to the test, and offers a more serious experience than our Quick Play or Arcade Modes.
Getting Started Competitive Rewards What's New To begin your competitive journey this season, click on the “Play” button, select “Competitive Play” from the submenu, and you’re ready to enter a match. You can join on your own or in a group, and Overwatch’s matchmaking system will automatically find the best game possible for your skill level.
Before you can kick off your competitive career, every player must first complete 10 placement matches to obtain their initial skill rating. This rating will be a number between 1 and 5000, with higher values indicating a greater skill level. Players will also be assigned a tier based on their rating—Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, or Grandmaster—and climbing into the next tier is possible as you improve.
Skill ratings and tier icons will be visible at the beginning of every match. As you compete, your rating will increase or decrease with each win or loss based on a number of factors, including your own performance and the skill of the other players in the match.
A detailed breakdown of the skill tiers, along with icons and information about the corresponding skill ratings can be found by pressing the “Information” button under the Competitive Play menu.
In addition to experiencing the thrill of victory, players can also unlock unique rewards through Competitive Play. Anyone who completes their placement matches during a season will receive a special spray and player icon. If you are placed within the Top 500 players on your platform (and in your region) at the end of the season, you’ll receive an extra player icon and animated spray.
On top of that, as you complete competitive matches, you’ll earn a currency called Competitive Points. When the season concludes, you’ll also receive a number of those points (based on your overall performance) to spend on golden versions of your favorite heroes’ weapons.
Avoid as Teammate Update
Starting now, we’ll increase the Avoid as Teammate slots from two to three spots. As promised when the feature was implemented, we have been watching to see the effect Avoid as Teammate has on gameplay and queue times. After reading feedback and deciphering data, we think adding a slot will help players enjoy their Overwatch experience while keeping queue times reasonable. When you add a player to your Avoid as Teammate list, you will not be grouped with that player for seven days. Create Your Competitive Play Dream Team
Get ready to climb the ladder and battle your way to the top of the charts by using Looking for Group to create your dream team. Customize your group settings to ensure you find other like-minded players whose sights are set on grinding out points to get into the top tier (or just to have fun). Our newest tank hero, Wrecking Ball, rolls Competitive Play for his first full season. Wrecking Ball provides disruption while also being an aggressive bruiser that bullies the enemy’s backline, eliminating vulnerable heroes that are left unguarded. ABILITIES Quad Cannons Automatic assault weapons. Minefield Deploy a massive fields of proximity mines. Grappling Claw Launch a grappling claw to rapidly swing around the area. Enables high speed collisions to damage and knockback enemies. Roll Transform into a ball and increase maximum movement speed. Piledriver Slam into the ground below to damage and launch enemies upward. Adaptive Shield Create temporary personal shields. Amount increases with more enemies nearby. The Nano Cola Challenge has begun! Not much else to today's patch notes except a few fixes for Symmetra's turrets and teleporter issues, Hero Gallery bug fixes and a few other things. Also of note is that the patch crashed a lot of competitive games on the last day of the season, which didn't go over so well.
