Sin Rogue DPS work in progress

2 posts in this topic

So I'm always in the lower end of things when it comes to my parses, which I know on certain fights I struggle with bleeds and other things when heavy amounts of switching and running take place (Elisande/Gul'dan).  I am sticking to the icy-veins opener in most cases (maybe heroic Guldan a bit different when I try to save Vendetta for empowered eyes and such). My biggest thing I feel like I'm missing is when to properly pool energy, I'm almost ALWAYS casting which I know shouldn't be the case really.  I know my opener DPS won't be as high as some because of only having footpads, but sustained it should be pretty high since I have two MA, CoF, and footpads. Just feel like I'm leaving some on the table because my parses are always very, very low like sub 50%.

Looks ok overall. Your Mastery is a little low and you have a lot of Haste, which isn't great.

As far as gameplay is concerned, you should bump your bleed uptime as close to that 100% mark as you can and make sure you're using Vanish to buff Rupture whenever available.

      Hey there fellow Rogues
Long time lurker, first time poster here...

We've been told by our raid leaders to improve ourselves in terms of playstyle, rotation, CD usage etc.

Since I’m not that good with log analysis and log comparison, I thought that, since there are a couple of high-end rogues active on here, maybe you guys could help me to improve.

You can find all my logs on my personal warcraftlogs page: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/charact...athrezim/pikay

I already saw that I often keep TB off CD for too long – working on that one. I’m sure there are a couple more changes I should (could) make to push my DPS.

Thanks in advance for your help!

      Greetings, Pikay

      About Us
Skunkworks is a guild for players who can not or do not want to commit to the time-intensive raid schedules of traditional "hardcore" guilds.
However, we still maintain a high caliber player environment and make an efficient use of our raiding time.
We raid Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 - 11:00 PST, just 8 hours a week and never more.

We are very protective of our guild environment and selective in recruitment. We are looking for solid players mechanically as well as intellectually.
We all get paid to deal with idiots, why should we pay to spend our leisure time with them as well?

Skunkworks has been around for multiple expansions and has historically always been at the top of the 2-night raiding guild scene.

      Heya!
So I’ve read the Icy Veins Sin Rogue PvP Guide that suggests Cheapshot > Garrote > Mutilate > Rupture as an opener. It works very well, but I’m wondering if I should use another opening rotation with MotMA (gives 100% crit chance for 5 sec after exiting stealth mode)? I know that legendaries aren’t active in arenas, but I was thinking in wpvp/duels.
      Cheers :)

      Hello all,
I've recently been falling behind in DPS despite getting better gear and iLvl, and I know I could be doing way better.
I used to get purples and oranges almost every fight but as of late I've been getting blues and sometimes even greens.
I finally got shoulders the other day and I think I'm not using them correctly as well, also have seen a lot of people using NBF even with shoulders instead of DoS after the subterfuge patch, idk what's better.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, also any trinket / legendary changes for certain fights would be a great help.
      Legendaries: KJ, Cloak, Bracers, Shoulders
      Trinkets: NBF 890, DoS 895, CoF 890
Also idk if my stats are current anymore as well, LMK. Been stacking crit since ever since I got 150% mastery, I don't know if this is optimal anymore.
