Icy Veins Arena Guide Updated

Recommended Posts

9KdIbni.png

Our Arena Guide has been updated by Pesty, to fully reflect the format for The Year of the Mammoth.

As well as the new tier list for classes, the guide addresses each class in detail, so that you can get the most out of your Arena draft. It also discusses which Mana curves work well with which class, and how to pick on your opponents' likely weaknesses.

The new Tier List is shown below:

  • Tier 1 (Excellent): Mage, Rogue
  • Tier 2 (Great): Paladin, Hunter
  • Tier 3 (Good): Druid, Priest, Shaman, Warlock,
  • Tier 4 (Average): Warrior

For any feedback or questions about this guide, check out our Hearthstone General Discussion Forum, or comment in this thread.

Ungoro arena is a place where mages fight other mages (and occasionally rogues).

Granted, mage has always been in the top 3 in arena, but their power in Ungoro is ridiculous.

It's also funny how Warrior is marked "Average". 38% winrate is not average, it's garbage.

It's there not to discourage players from picking the classes they want or like. We might change it to be both true and not to discourage players from playing their favourite classes.

Ben Brode, pls relog.

People play arena to win, that's the idea of that game mode.

Basically, tier 3 and tier 4 are barely viable (<50% winrate) and you call them good and average.

I love druid (tier 3), I pick druid in arena for that reason every time he is offered, and on average I get more wins than an average mage in Un'goro. If you are able to get enough wins with any class, you might as well play classes that you like the most, rather than those that are "better". Besides, some classes might not fit a player, like rogue, simply because of the playstyle of overall difficulty.

A small server-side update is coming to Hearthstone tomorrow. Floating Watcher will be moved to Tavern Tier 4 and a bug that caused Galakrond the Nightmare's cost-reduction priority to negate the cost-increase effects on some cards will be fixed.

      Greetings Friends!
We have a small 16.2.4 server-side patch going live tomorrow with the following changes:
Floating Watcher is moving from Tavern Tier 3 →  Tavern Tier 4 Fixed an issue that caused Galakrond the Nightmare 's cost-reduction priority to negate the cost-increase effects of cards such as Boompistol Bully and Loatheb*. Once these changes have gone live, I’ll be sure to update this thread!
      Cheers,

Blizzard has released a small client update (v. 16.2.3) with various bug fixes today. Soul Juggler will no longer cause de-syncing, Risky Skipper is now a Pirate minion type, and more.
Don't forget to check out our Galakrond's Awakening Solo Adventure guide now that Chapter III has become available.

      Hey Friends,
Just a short time ago, we started rolling out a small client update that addresses the following issues:
Fixed an issue where de-syncing (a discrepancy between what the client shows vs. what is actually occurring on the server) would sometimes occur when Soul Juggler was dealing damage or when Deathrattles spawned minions in Battlegrounds. Art for Heroes + Hero Powers will now properly populate on mobile devices when the optional data download is paused. When the Air Raid Twinspell is played, the copy generated will now be the correct rarity. Risky Skipper is now a Pirate minion type, as originally intended. Spin 'em Up and Small Repairs will no longer have their mana cost displayed in red when generated from Keeper Stalladris. Please keep us updated if you encounter any new issues! Much love friendos ❤️
      Cheers,
