[Emerald Dream][A] <SUDS> NEW LEGACY REROLL

2 posts in this topic

Hey everyone! I’m here to introduce a new Legacy reroll guild. If you’re at all interested, take a peek at our website: https://www.sudsguild.com/

TLDR: New guild that's running old-world content in a reasonably true to period way looking for members. Look at the above website.

THE SALES PITCH:

<SUDS> is a new community oriented legacy guild seeking members to join us for our upcoming launch on June 14th, 2017.  We are an ambitious group that will be approaching old content in unique and exciting ways. In contrast to other legacy guilds that have come and gone, we offer a dedicated core membership as well as a concrete structure for legacy play.

<SUDS> absolutely refuses to be another legacy guild that goes belly up in a week. How many guilds have been created to “experience old content the way it was meant to be” only to burn out after two weeks of play? Legacy guilds have earned a reputation for being whimsical pet-projects destined to be thrown to the curve. That is not who or what we are. Rather, we are offering an entirely new, detailed, framework from which we will operate.

The core membership has a decade long history of gaming together. We’ve been looking for something to do as a group and Legacy WoW struck the perfect chord. Some of us have significant experience in WoW, a couple are brand new -- which presents its own sort of excitement. As for myself, I've played since Vanilla and spent most of WotLK and Cataclysm looking for a solid legacy or reroll guild. I must have joined a dozen, including spending a bit of time in Screams of the Past towards the end of their reign. Most of the guilds I joined were disappointments. Reroll guild leadership too often lacks leadership or direction and loses steam in a couple of weeks. Level 60/70 guilds are often cold places, filled with the inactive alts of those looking for a novelty experience or curmudgeons irrationally bitter about changes to the game.

The notion of legacy guilds was in the back of mind up until the Nostalrius fiasco when I realized just how many others were looking for a community to do this content. When all of us were looking for something new it seemed the perfect opportunity to give a Legacy experience in WoW the best shot possible. While legacy guilds have a well-earned reputation for being flaky and frivolous, SUDS is determined, beyond all else, to prove itself.

If you’re at all interested in what I’ve been saying please hop over to our website: sudsguild.com. We’re all incredibly excited to find more founding members to join us on June 14th and can’t wait to see the ideas and personality everyone brings to the group.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

1.      Clear Rules & Expectations:
All rules and expectations regarding how we handle classic content can be found on our website at sudsguild.com. There should not be any worrying about what is and isn’t allowed.

2.      A Dedicated Community:
SUDS has been formed by a group of lifelong friends and directed towards

3.      Refreshing the Difficulty:
Playing through this content with a full 40 man raid nowadays is incredibly boring. There is no risk of wiping, the bosses are dead within moments, and the entire experience becomes incredibly bland. To counter this, all level 60 raids, from Molten Core to Ahn’Qiraj, will be done with no more than 10 players adhering to the above-mentioned standards. Adding to the experience,
this will produce multiple raid teams in friendly competition with one another to clear content first.

4.      New “Legends” System:
While future content will be locked prior, certain races and classes, as well as flying, will be unlockable through “quest chains” to be completed by a player upon reaching level 60. These are grindy, expensive and difficult processes for those who wish to participate. The aim with them is to give players something more to do for those who want it and breath a bit of life into stale content.  These unlocks currently include: Flying in Azeroth, Shaman, Draenie, Death Knight, Worgen, Monk, and Pandaren. See our website for details on each.

5.      Unique, Content Appropriate Events:
Legacy content produces the challenge of having to find ways to entertain ourselves. Guild events will be consistent and tied in with the legends system. Duel tournaments, weekly five man/ heroic nights, and quite a bit more can all be expected.  Please see our website for a full list of planned events. Again, we encourage you to come forward with any ideas!

6.      Gated Content:
A common problem legacy guilds face is blowing through all an expansion’s content in a week and then having nothing to do for months as they wait to move to a new tier. That is the place guilds go to die. Rather, we will be gating different tiers of content appropriately. A minimum of one month will be spent on each raid and we will not     Occasionally, there will be a different event or trigger needed to unlock the next tier: such as the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj.

7.      World Events:
Different events marked the movement of one expansion to another – the arrival of the Draenie, the invasion of the Burning Legion through the dark portal, the invasion of the scourge, and more. We will endeavor to create a similar feeling of movement from one place of content to another through world events. Whether it be all getting together to make Draenie alts to go through the Draenie starting zones, going through the Dark Portal to Outland as a group, or entering Northrend together.

8.      And more! We want you to share any ideas you may have!

WHO WE ARE/ COMMUNITY

We’re all in our early to mid 20s. We’re looking to produce an atmosphere that is fun, but capable of upping the tempo and taking things seriously. We joke around, there’s often relatively crude humor -- be able to take a joke. If you’re used to typical internet culture, you’ll fit in just fine. Ultimately, we want long-term core members who fit in.

RAIDING

Raid times as well as expectations will vary. We anticipate more interest than just a single ten man raiding team, so there will be multiple teams as a result. The dynamics for each raid team are up to that team.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

Members are expected to be active, respectful, and reasonably mature. It’s extremely important to know and follow guild rules because we are dealing with legacy content. Players who, say, go to Outlands and then bemoan they had no idea they weren’t allowed to while in the guild are not welcome. Skill level and experience are bonuses, but not considered as requirements in a successful application. We’re looking for others who will take the guild’s journey seriously and who will fit in -- you don’t need to supply us with your 110’s Mythic Nighthold logs.

I updated your title to follow the rules. If you want the title to read something different, let me know and I will change it to reflect both your wish and the rules.

Hello! This is Fox from Velocity. We're a not-so-hardcore morning Mythic raiding guild on Sargeras. Currently 1/9M, 9/9H ToS. Last tier we reached 7/10M NH in the two months leading up to ToS. Now we'll be focusing on Mythic ToS progression. A fun fact about us, since were a morning guild we actually got 2 realm 1st's on Heroic. Worldwide our H Goroth kill was 15th, and Demonic Inquisition was 8th (according to wowprogress). Were looking for good and reliable players for our roster, mainly DPS, who can learn the fights quickly and attend our early raid times.
      [A] <Velocity> 1/9M 9/9H (7/10M) - MORNING raid LFM
      Raid Times: 10am-1pm CST | Tues/Wed/Thurs / Mon(Opt/Alt)[/quote]

        Looking for:
      Currently Need
Ranged - Mage, Ele Sham, Hunter, Warlock, Boomkin
Melee - Rogue, Ret Pally, Warrior, Demon Hunter
      Would consider
Healer - Resto Sham, Holy Pal, Disc Priest.
      Tank - Flex Bear
        Requirements:
      Item Lvl:  915+/-
      Exp:  9/9H (Pref), 8/9H ok

*Specific classes are listed above as preference. However, any class is welcomed! We will consider anyone who is willing to join and can commit to our raid times, we may also make exceptions if you are under the requirements.

      Expectations:
We’re not super hardcore, we like having fun, but we do have high standards; so we expect our raiders to play their class well, come prepared, FOLLOW MECHANICS, have a sense of humor (or not) and adapt quickly. Prior Mythic raiding experience is a plus, though not necessary if you're a fast learner.
Due to our morning raid times, we encourage everybody to communicate about attendance via Calendar invites, Discord channels, or through tells with an officer. It’s important to know who will be available week-by-week so we can make arrangements for raid days. This is necessary to avoid setbacks and keep up with progression! We are very understanding when someone needs to post-out. Schedules change, things come up and real life always comes first. All we ask is for a heads up!
Perks: Feasts, Codex, Spirit Cauldrons, near-unlimited guild repairs, and the occasional gem or enchants. We run alt raids and Mythic+ 15s with each other each week. We're a tight-knit guild, who's always joking around and helping each other out. We also play other games together outside of WoW, like Overwatch, SC2, Heroes, Diablo, Dota2, LoL and whatever else.

Additional Info: The morning slot is kind of niche, so it’s important we find players who are dedicated and realistic with their schedules.
Our Officers are veteran players who have experience raiding at high levels, as well as a majority of our core players. We want to uphold a certain level of standard, the point being that we can joke and have fun while getting stuff done.
If we sound like a good fit, let us know! Leave a reply here, send us a tell on BNET or in game. Or be old school and send an in-game mail! Thanks for reading, and we hope to hear from you soon! =D

      About us:
Gordian Knot is a 20-man semi-hardcore raiding guild that consists of experienced raiders with some of them having raiding experience as far back as Vanilla.
We are a friendly group who enjoys World of Warcraft and loves raiding. We have fun and joke around but when bosses need to go down then all is serious! We wish for all our members to enjoy the game as much as we do and we expect raiders to maintain a 70% attendance per month.
We also enjoy a variety of other activities such as running a lot of Mythic+ dungeons doing alt-runs, achievement runs etc.
There are a few things we hold in high value but above else we value friendliness and politeness towards guildies and other players and skillfulness when it comes to the more serious parts of the game.
      Currently :
We raid 3 nights a week, Wednesdays, Sundays and Mondays, from 20:00 till 23:00 server time.
Although we are a 20-man guild, we usually run an extra group in order to get more people to experience the joys of raiding, help new raiders learn the Knot's way to down bosses and gearing up. Usually, these runs happen on Thursdays. Also, every Friday and sometimes Saturdays too, we're on RBGs killing alliance scums!
Saturdays are generally left for those RBGs or older content runs for fun and drinking!
Our current guild progress is 1/9 on Tomb of Sargeras mythic, and we're focusing on getting further Mythic progress. Our aim is to get Cutting Edge for this patch!
If you're interested in joining Gordian Knot, please fill in our application form, located at http://gordian-knot.eu/apply/, alternatively please whisper one of our officers:
      Jenquai - Athlios#2283

      Narweena - Sephyra#2517
or contact me on discord Athlios#0153
PS. We're always open to group applications or guild merging discussions.
We are also open and welcome social applications.

HELLO! We're a Horde guild on the linked realms Skullcrusher, Gul'dan and Black Dragonflight - I like to call it Dan Blackskull - sounds like a bad D&D character name.   We're looking for a holy paladin, and a warlock to take over a main raid spot. But, your experience and that you make us laugh matters to us more than the class.
We raid 7pm to 11pm EST Monday and Sunday. We do Mythic, so this would involve a transfer. Sorry, we can't cross realm current mythic content.  Not my rule, talk to Blizzard.   If you choose to join us, be prepared for stupid jokes, too many puns, and steady progress.   We expect you to:
       • Don't bring the drama, don't be a douche.
       • Improve your own play with each attempt. We want another guild member, not a carry.
       • Be there. We raid 8 times in a month - that's it. If you can only make every Sunday, you're missing 1/2 the raids.

In return you can expect us to:
       • Work with you to try and improve
       • Not go psycho at you when you make a mistake (we might laugh)
       • Respect your time. We do not go late, I do not add days.

Ideally you'd be around 915 item level (my alt is 914 and only pugs normal. You can do it.) Being short isn't a deal breaker, but someone running at 880 is going to have a hard time making up the dps, heals, survivability (is that a word? who cares! it is now,) that is needed to justify a spot. If you're looking for someone to carry you through the raid and just soak up gear, we wish you luck elsewhere.   Comms: We use Discord for voice chat.   Loot: We roll for loot and distribute it through RCLootCouncil. Trials are permitted to roll on loot, but can only win if no one needs the loot for Main spec, the spec they are playing in the raid. Should we accept you and you join, then the trial period is over, and you have full rights to loot.   If interested, contact Tthrack#1350 (guild leader), anyone in Questionable Morality on Skullcrusher or drop a an app in on our Website QuestionableMorality.com.
      Thank you!

Oi, mates! Let me just briefly introduce me and this guild. My name is Beautymen and I have been playing ever since WoTLK. During this great expansion I was heavily involved into raiding on Quel'Thalas. Ever since I left these days behind the sensation of raiding and progressing has been tickling my sensitive parts. Therefore, when Legion launched I came back to play with my mate Kraishan and we founded Mythic Busters.

      What is Mythic Busters?
Our guild, Mythic Busters, is a friendly bunch of people from all around the world who are looking to get into raiding. Especially, when you have been gone from the game for some time, you might have lost your raiding mojo and find it hard to be re-introduced.
This guild offers you the chance to start raiding again in Legion through a fun and relaxed way. No hard requirements, just fair and square play. We have several divisions within the guild to cater to different players. For instance, we run Mythic+ to gear up new players and currently we are building progress and farm runs through the newest raids.

What makes raiding different with you guys?
Good question, me. Well, if I might be so egocentric as to say that first of all: I believe we have created a great atmosphere within our guild. I, as a raid leader, try to entertain the raid group on Discord by keeping our nights social and fun.

Sounds great. When do you raid?
Right now we raid on Wednesdays and Sundays from 7:30PM (invites) till about 11:00PM server time. These raids are currently focused on ToS HC progression. On Fridays we also run a normal mode farm for alts/lowerer geared members.

Awesome. Who are you looking for?
We accept any and every social player who is either experienced or new to raiding. Just be a chill or dude or dudewoman! And of course, ready slash willing to learn.

You sold me at dudewoman! How do I join?
Feel free to respond underneath this post or whisper me ingame (Beautymen-QuelThalas or Beautyman#2868).
