6 New Character Slots & Customization Options in Battle for Azeroth

Recommended Posts

All players will get six additional characters slots per server to create room for Allied races and more customization options are coming for Orcs and possibly Trolls!

Allied Races [More Info]

Six allied races will be available in Battle for Azeroth. All players will be given six additional character slots per server, so there's no need to delete existing characters!

Character Customization

The Barber Shop will soon be updated with additional customization options for Orcs and possibly Trolls. In the new expansion, we'll be able to choose between a hunched or an upright character. If you wonder how an upright Orc will look like, check out Thrall's model below.

Note that the new Zandalari Trolls are standing straight.

Blizzard agreed that current customization options feel lackluster and they are working on improvements.

Goblins & Worgen Skins

The team is working on new skins for both races, but they won't be ready for Patch 8.0. Worgen will also be given more facial features to make them look fierce.

unless you're at...or approaching...the 50 characters overall limit. Which should also be raised. It's been thirteen years. A lot of alts can be created in that length of time.

No love for undead?

The chiropractor is too afraid to touch undead lest they break them even more.

lol. Speaking of that, I really hope they give us some sort of customisation option to remove the bones poking through (like the Chinese client).

Blizz can have the time they need for the worgen skins, I just wished they added the non hunch version (straight as they are when dancing) in the patch..

Would be really nice if we could have more customizations for all the races. Like more beard variations for Dwarves, because why the fuck not? Or even being able to have characters at different heights, because it is really weird how everyone has the very same height.

Would be cool if we had different skins for the different Orc clans. Would love to have the Dragonmaw appearance.

So i have a theory: if Blizz says they are planning on releasing more Allied Races as they drop patches, I'm guessing that the Horde will reach out to the WOD Draenor Orcs and that they will provide the skins that we've been wanting all these years. Like each skin option, instead of shades, would be the skin color of the various clans.

(Realistically-speaking tho, tbh I'll just be filling the extra 12 slots with more Worgen.)

really? that ugly dogs? why?

ok, i'm going to give you some credit, they are better than humans (smell a little worse, but isn't THAT bad).  I love dogs, but thats why I have pets.

I'm just kidding ofc, i don't want to hurn anyone feelings. But, I still thing that, have all chars from the same race is a boring decition.

I agree with the idea to implant draenor 's orcs models, that will be so cool if Blizzard make them.

For the Forsakens, I imagine that they can introduce dark rangers elves and humans skins like Venonara and Nathanos to change to the classicals skins of undeads.

The same could be said about someone who doesn't particularly like anything and just has a little bit of everything.

(Also I can tell you have never smelled some of those humans... whew)

All humans are actually three gnomes stacked under a trench coat.

Lore-wise this is the gnome you play as when you pick Gnome warrior.

Players are currently unable to catalyze gear from the Black Temple Timewalking cache into class set piece.
It's unclear whether this limitation is a bug or an intended feature, but the gear obtained from completing this week's Black Temple Timewalking quest cannot be converted into a set piece using the Revival Catalyst, as reported on Reddit.
I personally checked this at Antuka and can confirm that gear from the weekly quest cache cannot be catalyzed. I received the Grips of Damnation from the Essence boss yesterday, and found that the item was ineligible for conversion at the Catalyst.

Here's how you can upgrade your legendary weapons in Dragonflight Season 4 next week!
This one is for Fyr'alath and Nasz'uro owners. You must first farm 2 Antique Bronze Bullions. However, you can only acquire 1 Antique Bronze Bullion per week from Awakened Raid bosses. The bullion will drop in Raid Finder difficulty too.
Next week, the cap will be raised to 2 and a catch-up method will be implemented, so players who didn't have the chance to get their first bullion can get it from the weekly quest in Valdrakken.
Anyway, the soonest you can upgrade your legendary to the base item level of 502 is during the week of April 30th (so next week).
Once you have 2 Antique Bronze Bullions, head to the Parting Glass in Valdrakken.

Evokers need to buy Scale of Awakening from Iszinormi for 2 Antique Bronze Bullions. Death Knights, Paladins, and Warriors need to buy Scale of Awakening from Iszinormi for  2 Antique Bronze Bullions. Once purchased, use the consumable to upgrade your legendary to item level 502, the base item level for Season 4.
After that, you can further upgrade your legendary using Flightstones and crests. Check out our gear upgrading guide for more info!

Cache of Timewarped Treasures obtained from Black Temple Timewalking quest this week has a chance to contain Ashes of Al'ar!
Don't forget to complete this week's Timewalking raid! If you're having trouble getting into a group, create your own one, invite 2 tanks 4-5 healers and around 14 DPS and you are all set! Visit Shattrath, and talk to the Timewalking NPC to queue up for the raid.
The raid is extremely easy to compete and what's more, you get item level 493 loot along your way.
Upon defeating Illidan Stormrage and completing the quest, you will receive Cache of Timewarped Treasures that has an increased chance of containing Ashes of Al'ar or another piece of gear.
Demon Hunters shouldn't forget to get their warglaives transmog arsenal from Illidan and the reputation buff will help you add a couple of mounts to your collection!

Tama's Dragonflight Helper is a Weakaura that displays a weekly to-do list in the game and it's been updated for Dragonflight Season 4!
The WeakAura is very useful for keeping track of everything in the game at max level. It shows you a to-do list with the weekly tasks, provides you with the locations of rares, super rares, information about your current Renown standing, and more.

You will find Tama's Dragonflight Helper at wago.io. Please note that you must first download and install WeakAuras 2 to import the string.

Cataclysm's Grim Batol has been added to the Mythic+ Dungeon rotation in The War Within Season 1, and one boss received a brand new model recently on the Alpha.
General Umbriss, the first boss of the dungeon, got a shiny new model, which is quite different from his previous one. Below is a screenshot of the old a new model.
