Winter Veil begins next week on Hearthstone and a special Tavern Brawl will award three Knights of the Frozen Throne card packs.

Next week's Tavern Brawl will be really similar to the Gift Exchange one back from 2015 and February 2017. There will be some differences though, as the Brawl will have a Kobold flavour and it will have a new name: Wacky Waxy Winter Veil's Brawl.

As Winter Veil is a frosty season, the reward will obviously be three packs from Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion. It's not sure if the Winter Veil Wreath card back, which was associated with the Gift Exchange brawl during the previous years' Winter Veils, will be available this time to those who don't already have it.

‘Tis the season! In celebration of Winter’s Veil—and to give all you adventurers something to do that doesn’t involve taking candles—Greatfather Kobold has prepared a special distraction, er, Winter’s Veil tavern brawl packed with wacky, waxy gifts!

These treats aren’t just on the game board! The reward for winning your first game of this Tavern Brawl is THREE festively frosty Knights of the Frozen Throne card packs

Greatfather Kobold’s helpers have been busy decorating the Orgrimmar game board for the tavern brawl, but you can also experience the holiday in Stormwind while enjoying other play modes. And no matter how you play, don’t forget to show your opponent some holiday spirit with the return of the Happy Winter’s Veil greeting emote!

The Rules

Greatfather Kobold will drop off some tastefully wrapped, candle-bearing gifts on turn one—four on each side of the board, for a total of eight. If you unwrap a gift, you’ll receive a Legendary minion that costs three fewer mana to play! Greatfather Kobold will keep the celebration going by periodically parachuting in more presents. Don’t be greedy, though! You’ll only get a discounted Legendary minion from the gifts Greatfather Kobold left on your opponent’s side of the field.

How will you build your deck to make the most of these potent presents?

The Wacky Waxy Winter’s Veil brawl begins December 20 and lasts through December 24, so be sure to drop in and celebrate!

A very Happy Winter’s Veil to you and yours! (source)

For now, you can enjoy this week's Tavern Brawl, which is Valeera's Bag of Burgled Spells.

I'm often not happy about blizzards system in HS that seems to focus more on money than anything else but I like this.

Personally I do not care much about KFT packs (barley something to get there for me) but maybe I get lucky and even if not it's some extra dust. More important it's great for any newer players to get three (in fact 2) free packs.

I have the card back and I wish for everyone not having it they will give it out again this year :)

This week's Tavern Brawl is a great way to try out some of the new cards from The Witchwood.

Looking for a chance to try out some of the new cards from The Witchwood? This week's Brawl, titled "A Witchy Recipe", features preconstructed decks for each class which are built around some of the less-played cards from the new expansion, including many of the new Legendary minions from the set.
Here are the names of some of the new cards you can try for yourself in A Witchy Recipe:
Druid: Hand-size with Witchwood Apple, Ferocious Howl, and Wispering Woods. Hunter: Midrange Dragon/Poison with Carrion Drake, Vilebrood Skitterer, and Emeriss. Mage: Elemental Minions with Book of Specters, Archmage Arugal, and Bonfire Elemental. Paladin: Even Paladin with The Glass Knight and Genn Greymane. Note: If you're looking for a quick win, this deck feels like the most powerful of the bunch. Priest: Odd Priest with Chameleos, Glitter Moth, and Nightscale Matriarch. Rogue: Echo/Burgle with Pick Pocket, Tess Greymane, and Face Collector. Shaman: Battlecry Shaman with Blazing Invocation, Zap!, and Hagatha the Witch. Warrior: Rush with Darius Crowley, Town Crier, and Woodcutter's Axe. Warlock: Self-damage with Blood Witch, Deathweb Spider. and Glinda Crowskin. As usual, the reward for A Witchy Recipe is one pack of Classic.

The team has finally responded to the community's concerns on the new Shaman legendary minion.
Two weeks after The Witchwood's release, Team 5 has addressed the issues surrounding Shudderwock. Its animation will go faster and it will cap at 20 Battlecries. Hopefully, it will be less of a nuisance now. Lifedrinker will also receive a bump on its animation speed.
I assume the fix will go live on April 26 along with the Monster Hunt.
      Jesse Hill
Recently, our players have had feedback regarding the Shaman card, Shudderwock. We understand that the length of its Battlecry animation and other animations spawned from its Battlecry can be frustrating. In a future update, we will be doubling the animation speed of Shudderwock’s Battlecry so it will lessen the impact on the overall pacing of your current Hearthstone match. In addition, the amount of Battlecries Shudderwock can reproduce will be capped at 20.
We will also be speeding up the animation of Lifedrinker for similar reasons.
Thank you for your feedback, and we’ll see you in the Tavern.
      Cheers!
