How do I multibox in Hearthstone?

Recommended Posts

Multiboxing means the use of several hearthstone windows at once in order to allow the player to advance in multiple regions at the same time, or to progress with multiple accounts at once. However, you cannot open multiple instances of Hearthstone for the same account and server. Among other uses of multiboxing is completion of daily quests in friend battles with yourself or testing your ability to play several matches at once, similar to simultaneous exhibitions in chess.

Please note that this method is available only for Windows and does not work for everybody, but will still work for majority of players. Additionally, you will need to have access to the Admin account.

  1. Open the folder where Hearthstone is located. This can be found under Blizzard Battle.net > Settings > Game Install/Update, right below the icon of Hearthstone.

  2. Right click Hearthstone.exe and select Properties.

  3. Open the Compatibility tab.

  4. Enable "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP Service Pack 2.

You should now be able to play Hearthstone in multiple windows! Simply start Hearthstone, go back to Blizzard Battle.net, select a different server or relog to a different account and open another instance of Hearthstone! You can open as many instances as you want, as long as your hardware is able to handle the load.
