New Azerite Powers in Patch 8.2

Recommended Posts

UiUpgsu.jpg

It's time to look at new Azerite powers coming in Rise of Azshara with Season 3 and the raid.

In Rise of Azshara, you will be able to unlock Azerite powers on your Azerite Armor as soon as you get it. Progression is shifting to a new Essence system within the Heart itself and in Season 3 which will be available when Azshara's Eternal Palace raid opens, the following Azerite powers have been added to the game:

Benthic & Eternal Palace Raid Azerite Powers

Azerite Armor with the following powers can be found on Benthic gear and Eternal Palace raid items.

  • Undulating Tides Undulating Tides - Your damaging spells and abilities have a chance to crash a wave upon your target for 265 Frost damage. When your health drops below 50%, gain a shield absorbing 2,075 damage within 8 sec. When this occurs, Undulating Tides cannot trigger again for 45 sec.
  • Loyal to the End Loyal to the End - Your Mastery is increased by 0, plus an additional 0 for each ally also affected by Loyal to the End, up to 0. When you die, your allies gain Critical Strike, Haste, and Versatility equal to their Mastery bonus from this trait.
  • Arcane Heart Arcane Heart - Every 1.5 million damage and healing done you gain Omnipotence, increasing your highest stat by 0 for 15 sec. You heal for 5% of all Arcane damage taken.

Mechagon Azerite Powers

The Pocket-Sized Computation Device Pocket-Sized Computation Device is a new customizable trinket from Mechagon. It can be customized to your liking using punchcard sockets. The first Azerite power directly interacts with the trinket, increased a secondary stat of your choice by 238 and depends on equipped Logic Board, the yellow punchcard socket, so if you use a punchcard socket with Haste, your Haste will be increased by an additional 238 while using the trinket.

  • Person-Computer Interface Person-Computer Interface - A secondary stat of your choice is increased by 238 while using the Pocket-Sized Computation Device. Stat is chosen based on equipped Logic Board.

There's also one more trait which increases your secondary stat by 329 once per minute in combat.

  • Clockwork Heart Clockwork Heart - Once per minute while in combat, gain 329 Haste, Critical Strike, Mastery, and Versatility for 12 sec.

Azerite Armor with Person-Computer Interface Person-Computer Interface and Clockwork Heart Clockwork Heart comes from the new Operation: Mechagon dungeon.

Heart of Azeroth Azerite Powers

The small nodes within the new Heart of Azeroth act like Azerite powers and increase your Stamina by 3% each, which has been confirmed by Ion Hazzikostas in the latest Forbes interview. We have a total of four nodes, so your Stamina will be increased by 12% at Heart of Azeroth level 67.

This will be a mandatory raid trait, mark my words. And someone will be sacrificed for a brez before Bloodlust.

Maybe for those W1 raiders but nah i dont think the typical raid lead will care. Depending on how much mastery it gives though ill definitely take 1.

Raid Lead from Previous Raid Content: Ok let's follow mechanics and try not to die.  Don't make your Tanks and Healers worth twice as much.

Raid Lead with the new Raid:  Ok I want just you low scoring dps to stand right about......here when the boss does this animation.  And oh you do have that Azerite Trait right?

DPS:  Yeah but I won't insta die if I stand right there right?

Raid Lead *while crossing their fingers*:   No, not at all.

*Meanwhile during the fight*

DPS: I freaking died!

Raid Lead: Ok team we have our buff go ham!

We have two Corruption fixes today, as the Gushing Wound nerf has finally arrived! There's also a fix for Ineffable Corruption and its effect on lockout times for interrupted spell schools.
      June 2 (source)
      Items and Rewards
Corrupted Items Gushing Wound (Corruption Effect) damage over time effect has been reduced by 35%. Developer’s note: While we try to avoid changes like this outside of regular balance patch intervals, the changes we've made to the Corruption system to make Corruption more targetable and attainable risks turning a rare but powerful Corruption into the optimal choice in nearly every situation. With this reduction in damage, Gushing Wound will remain reasonably powerful in all situations, but will no longer be the most efficient source of damage per Corruption in all situations. Fixed a bug that caused the lockout time of interrupted spell schools to increase when the Ineffable Truth Corruption effect ends.

On Shadowlands Alpha, you can customize crafted items using up to three Optional Crafting Reagents. There have been some updates to the system in recent builds, so we're looking at the updated version in more detail.

Update: The second theory has been debunked, as it's predicted items did not show up in today's list!
We have some possibly good news for all the people still chasing their perfect Corruption setup (which would be most players everywhere), as two separate theories have come up predicting which Corruptions will appear at what time in MOTHER's shop. Both theories are based on the Corruptions that we've seen so far, so neither has the full info for all Corruptions yet and both predict entries in different time frames, so their predictions don't conflict with each other.
First off we have Dorovon, from Big Dumb Guild, who has actually datamined some hotfix data and come up with a possible pattern there, with cycles of linked Corruptions repeating. Now, this data might not actually be linked to the vendor at all, but we can't know that yet. From that base, Shiftmage created this spreadsheet which tracks all the upcoming Corruptions, but its first prediction comes on July 16th, as that's when the supposed "cycle" will start repeating.

An additional problem here is that even if the data is linked to the vendor, it might simply randomize the order once it comes to the cycle reset point. We won't know whether any of this is reliable until June 16th, when the first prediction will either come true or not. You can check out the spreadsheet here for more details, and read a more detailed analysis of the datamining itself here.
*The below theory has been proved to be incorrect*
The second theory is much simpler and we'll find out whether it's correct a whole lot sooner - tomorrow on the next reset, in fact! Limit's Imfiredup has created a much more direct prediction, potentially figuring out the pattern for (only) the stat-based Corruptions.

We simply keep in mind we're now on cycle 4, which would indicate the next reset, coming tomorrow, should have Expedient 1 and Versatile 2, so it won't take long to see if this is correct. Just so it's easier to keep track, cycle 5 would be (US) Tuesday's reset, aka 02.06, 6 would be Friday 05.06, 7 would be Tuesday 09.06 and cycle 8 would be Friday 12.06.
You can check out how Imfiredup came to these number in the clip below:

Now, obviously both of these have a lot going against them, and it's all very speculative at this point, but it'll be pretty exciting to see if either of them managed to get it right. Perhaps Blizzard will even see the interest players have in actually knowing when which Corruption will appear and share the correct schedule themselves?

Dredwing mounts are bat-like creatures that are probably native to Revendreth given that the whole zone has a vampire vibe to it. Check out our preview of the mounts for more details.
The mount comes in four colors: green, purple, red, and stone.
      Silvertip Dredwing

      PH Purple Dredwing

      Horrid Brood Dredwing
Harika the Horrid terrorized the denizens of the Forest Ward yet with her demise her broodlings under proper direction can now take this horror to denizens farther afield.
