Currently Raven Knights are looking specifically for the following classes and specs to add to our raiding team.

Both for Siege of Orgrimmar 10m Heroic and future Warlords of Draenor 20m Mythic:

  • Druid (Guardian)
  • Druid (Restoration)
  • Mage
  • Monk (Mistweaver)
  • Priest (Discipline/Holy)
  • Paladin (Holy)
  • Shaman (Elemental)
  • Shaman (Restoration)

We will however always consider any application.

If you are unsure to transfer to EU-Earthen Ring we are open for trial via
Siege of Orgrimmar Heroic Cross-Realm Raid for you to get a feel for the guild.

Who are Raven Knights
We're one of the oldest raiding guilds on Earthen Ring, formed in 2005. Where others have fallen we have kept pushing. We started off 40m, switched to 25 when required, then in Cataclysm decided to shrink to 10m and have been raiding that size since then. We still believe in a balance between raids being fun and enjoyable without being too hardcore, however we do acknowledge that the current game content requires a bit more than the casual play we used to expect from our members. While we attempt to keep a relaxed attitude, the content we attempt is difficult and needs a level of focus and commitment.

You may be used to heroic groups who will scream and shout at the slightest mistake, expect 90% attendance and that are filled with teenage boys. That’s not us. We raid in a pretty civil fashion, we’re a diverse bunch and we more than appreciate that real life comes first.

What are Raven Knights doing for WoD?
Taking into account the guild’s progression through the recent tiers on heroic it’s a pretty safe bet that we will not be kept busy with the normal and heroic tiers in the longer term, assuming the difficulties are pitched where Blizzard has indicated so far.
We’re likely to blitz normal fairly quickly, then spend a chunk of time digesting heroic. As these raids will be flexible in numbers we can avoid sit outs for a large proportion of our raiding, gear people up faster and also give opportunities to people who are time limited or just don’t really fancy the harder difficulty stuff.

Beyond this, we’ve decided to make an attempt to recruit up and delve into the Mythic raids. Because these have a 20 man requirement it’s going to need a fair few more people than we currently have ready for raiding.

What does that mean for us until WoD?
Well, we’re going to be recruiting. And we’re going to be trying to recruit decent players, although not sacrificing the social element so important to our guild. This inevitably means we’re going to get more people signed up to do SoO this expansion than we have space for. Some of that need we can cover with flex, but it’s going to be a transitional period and people are going to have to accept that sit outs are a necessary evil of recruiting more people.

We will continue to push through heroic, get people the achievements for mounts and hopefully some heirloom weapons as well.

What do I do now?
If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, have a read of our rules and the way we operate as a guild. You can find them here. The next step is to apply using this page - don’t worry, it’s not a 14 page application form, but we hope you take the opportunity to actually tell us a bit about yourself.

Guild: Dawn of the Dead | http://www.dotd.org   Faction: Horde | Server: Zul'jin (PvE) | Timezone: EST   Current Progression: 7/9M Tomb of Sargeras | 10/10M Nighthold | 3/3M Trial of Valor | 7/7M Emerald Nightmare   We've been raiding max size raids continuously since WoW has been released and are the only guild to have done so here on Zul'jin. We have strong leadership, no drama, and plans to keep raiding for years to come. Unlike many guilds, we're not recruiting for the short term, and we don't over-recruit.   Website: www.dotd.org
Raid Times: Our schedule is 8-11 EST Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.   Needs: We are a small guild, and we expect high attendance. As such, we recruit people to raid, and desire people who can step in and contribute immediately. We don’t recruit people to sit around, so all spots are for raiders who can expect to be in most every raid.   We are currently looking to add skilled and reliable:   1 Healer
      High: Shadow Priest, Mage

*ALL exceptional applicants will be considered regardless of the class.   What we ask of you:   Effort: Not all applicants come from highly progressed guilds, and that’s okay, but it does mean that you need to be prepared. We recruit the player, not the gear, but we do ask that you have some current experience and be a minimum iLvl of 920. You need to have the best gear available to you, (BoE, Crafted) with gems and top end enchants. You also need to be able to display an understanding of your class mechanics, role in a raid, and ability to learn new fights.   Attitude: It’s a game. We play for fun. How you fit in with the guild is taken very seriously. We’re a bunch of mostly 18-30 guys and girls who have fun playing together. While we have a good time, we also know when it’s time to buckle down and work hard.   Skill: The best way to determine skill is to see you in a raid. Because we don’t wish to have anyone transfer that we’re not serious about, be able to express your knowledge of your class and why you’re an exceptional player who would be an asset and is worth a shot. Gear will come with time. Skill will not. Impress us with your knowledge of your class and gameplay mechanics. Feel free to share any logs, theorycrafting, or other work you've done.   Commitment: We make a commitment to you, and ask you to do the same to us. A raid takes a team of more than 20 individuals working together. We rely on you to show up to raids, research your class and new fights, respect your fellow players, and notify us when you are unavailable. You rely on us for gear, experience, and coordination. It's a large investment of our time to train and gear new players, and we ask the same investment on your part so that we can each benefit.   We have a variety of informational resources available to prospective applicants on our web site: http://www.dotd.org-- please refer to our "Applications" forum for detailed information. Also feel free to visit us on WoWProgresss for more information and kill videos! http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/us/...wn+of+the+Dead   Should you wish to speak to someone in-game, please don't hesitate to reach out to an officer directly, whisper Xanah (Xana#1662) or Jeare (Jeare#1759).   We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Two Strike Policy - US Sargeras - Alliance
      Why Two Strike Policy?
Two Strike Policy is a fairly new guild on US-Sargeras Alliance side, trying to make a name for itself in the wake of Antorus the Burning Throne. TSP has a friendly group of skilled, ambitious, like-minded raiders and humble players. We're easy going, we love to have fun, and we enjoy our raiding experience together while without the negative racist, sexist, homophobic behavior. We are non-biased and intolerant of drama in any form. When raiding with our guild, you will find that the atmosphere is very laid-back. However, when the time comes for progression, we know how to focus and get the job done. Absolutely no swap-blasting in MYTHIC raids.
Our number one priority in Two Strike Policy is maintaining our positive environment so that members are happy to log on and excited to raid and work together.
Loot: Two Strike Policy is Loot Council.
We divide loot by means of a loot council comprised of the guild officers and one rotating core raider weekly - so they know what happens behind the scenes. We take into consideration various factors such as:
      • Performance
      • Raid attendance
      • Previous Loot
      • Attitude and drive for progression
In need of these specific roles:
      High Priority Recruitment:
      Healer: Holy Paladin.
      Ranged DPS: Mage.
Melee DPS: Arms Warrior, Havoc DH, Rogue and Unholy DK (Classes that play multiple specializations preferred).
      Tank: Monk and Druid.
*Please note we are ALWAYS looking to upgrade our roster. If you do not see your class listed but are confident you can perform at our level, do not hesitate to contact us*
Our raid times are as follows:
      Tuesday - 7:30pm - 11:00pm EST (6pm-10pm CST)
      Wednesday - 7:30pm - 11:00pm EST (6pm-10pm CST)
      Optional Thursday for Alt Runs - 7:30pm - 11:00pm EST(6pm-10pm CST)
      Progression:
5/9 Mythic Tomb of Sargeras - (Moving on to Maiden after Mistress).
7/10 Mythic Nighthold Realm - (In 7.3 most are 9/10m or 10/10m – began late in tier as a guild). - Still run on weekend for Warforge/Titanforge Tier Pieces/Items.
      7/7 Mythic Emerald Nightmare  -
      Applicant Requirements: *
      Attendance:
We raid two nights a week during active progression, Tuesday-Wednesday. Raid invites go out at 7:30pm EST, begin raiding at 8:00pm and run until 11:00pm. There may be occasions when raids run slightly later than usual, this is typically 5-10 minutes over for progression/trash re-clear avoidance. If you cannot sustain a high rate of attendance (80% minimum), this is not the guild for you.
      Skill:
Can you do your job well while still being aware of environmental hazards? Bringing situational awareness is a must. Will you be able to adjust to an emergency change in the strategy without losing your main focus or panicking? Being able to adapt is crucial. If so, you're the kind of player we're looking for.
      Gear:
Your gear directly enhances your performance. Is it all properly gemmed, upgraded and enchanted? Is your artifact weapon at 60? The amount of effort you put into your gear correlates to the amount of effort you put into raiding. If your gear is not equivalent or close enough to the gear associated with the content we are clearing to allow you to carry your own weight, you must prove to us, without a doubt, you are the correct choice for your position through outstanding play, and motivation to improve not only gear but skill.
      Intelligence:
Are you smart? Do you make the same mistake twice? Can you learn from someone else’s mistake? Can you evaluate a given situation on the fly, and make the right decision in a split second?
      Experience:
You need to have experience close to that of the guilds current progression, past raiding experience is also a plus.
      Package Deals:
We will automatically decline applicants whose membership within Two Strike Policy is dependent on another person's membership. No exceptions.
      Public Communication:
Two Strike Policy cares about our public persona. It is for this reason we ask that unless you are buying/selling items offering or engaging services you are asked to not post in Trade/General/Instance chats. Trolling is not tolerated and can have you removed from the guild.
      General requirements include:
      * Preferably 18+, but just be mature.
      * Ability to use Discord and have working mic.
      * Ability to frequently check up on our forums for updates on raid strategies and other general guild information.
      * Income supply sufficient to support the repairs that a good progression week will result in. Consumables are also required for both progression and most farm raids. Once you pass trial, the guild supplies raiders with full repairs and flasks/pots for raid nights.
      * Stable Connection!! More or less NO disconnects during the fight. In order to play this game at the level we expect, you need a decent computer and a good internet connection.
Feel free to contact any officer ingame with any questions!
