Developer Comment: We knew Auriel’s ResurrectResurrect changes were going to be a big deal, and for the most part they have been going fairly well. It’s now picked much more often, and, to our pleasant surprise, isn’t winning by a large margin over Crystal AegisCrystal Aegis. While we like the epic moment of power that the current iteration offers, there is understandably a bit of frustration with Heroic now. To add some more counter-play, we’re reducing its cast range and adding more to its cast time to give opponents a better chance to interrupt her. Auriel players will now have to choose their moments much more wisely if they hope to get a ResurrectResurrect off on a key ally who recently died.

To make the talent more obviously powerful, we’re adding some significant damage to the explosion and a larger Silence duration to the detonation to make up for the fact that Stukov’s Lurking ArmLurking Arm goes away when the explosion happens. Now, if Stukov players properly detonate the Lurking ArmLurking Arm right as their enemies are leaving it, they should have a significant benefit when taking this talent.

Developer Comment: While Maiev is a terror in the hands of the more elite portion of our playerbase, we don’t want that to be a reason to not improve talents that we feel could use the help. Cruel ChainCruel Chain and Vengeful KnivesVengeful Knives have parts of their functionality that didn’t feel particularly impactful, so we’re adding more clear and useful benefits to each of them, which should make them more usable.

While we wait, we wanted to buff a couple underperforming talents that shouldn’t be affected by these fixes.

Firstly, we’re getting rid of the necessary synergy between Ancestral StrengthAncestral Strength and FrightFright, opting to instead bake a more reliable way to Slow enemies into Ancestral StrengthAncestral Strength. We’re also buffing Growing NightmareGrowing Nightmare so that it’s the premier E talent in an E build, as well as giving Lurking TerrorLurking Terror some love. Ideally, Lurking TerrorLurking Terror can now be used as a more unique way to set up Q and W hits on enemies who are far away from Orphea, particularly when combined with InsatiableInsatiable for quick double W combos.

Last year we had Caldeum Complex (replacing the Lunar New Year) starting in late match, I wonder if it has been delayed due to this extension or we aren't getting it this year.

Of the three level 7 talents, Firestorm has usually provided the least consistent value as to take enough advantage of its cooldown reduction typically requires dropping into areas where you've got no chance at triggering the cooldown reduction. At first glance this doesn't help that, but looking at it more I suspect it's a latent buff for Destroyer's Rampage at level 20.

It's the only lvl 7 I use. So it's a clear buff to me. The problem with this buff is that the health you lose being aggressive with this move can be recovered more quickly. The downside is heavily reduced as a result. Throw in the Heroic and the Flight abilities, and you have a lot of escape afterwards. It's not quick but it's a reliable way of maintaining pressure.

Everytime I've played with, or watched this talent played with, the meteors are ALWAYS random no matter how many enemy heroes are inside the area of impact. So I'm guessing they did this because of that. I'd guess they couldn't figure out how to make them actually work right and prioritize hitting heroes. So they just figured they'd buff it to do twice the CDR per hit instead. So you were always likely to get only one, two if you're real lucky. So at least now it might actually be worth taking since if you get the two that's a full reset.

      All Quests that can lose stacks will never cause the player to fall below milestone thresholds. Pinnacle Rewards are now named Mythic Rewards to give a more Blizzard feel. So Mythic-y! The following Summoned Units now lose health each second: Demon Lieutenants, Demon Warriors, Gargantuan, Hydralisks, Roaches, Rock-It Turrets, Rush Zombies, Scarabs, Treants, Tumors, and Water Elementals. Total Health and Duration of these Summoned Units have been adjusted to compensate for this. Structures now prioritize Summoned Units when there are no remaining minions. Summoned Units no longer take half damage from Structures. XP Globe pickup sound is now also played when killing a minion that instantly yields XP. Updated Homescreen and Startup Music. Return to Top

      General A new Fallback Tower has been added to the longer lanes on each of the following battleground maps. This new tower will die when its corresponding Fort dies: Alterac Pass, Battlefield of Eternity, Blackheart's Bay, Braxis Holdout, Cursed Hollow, Dragon Shire, Garden of Terror, Hanamura Temple, Infernal Shrines, Sky Temple, Tomb of the Spider Queen, Volskaya Foundry, and Warhead Junction. Attacks from the Core, Keeps, Forts, Fallback Towers, and Towers near Keeps will now reduce Hero armor, and the reduction has been increased from -10/-20 Armor to -20/-40 Armor. Fallback Towers have the same HP and Attack Damage as Keep Towers. Forts, Keeps, and the Core will no longer grant Allied Heroes that take damage in their radius 35 Armor for 4 seconds. The comeback system has been slightly magnified, particularly at wide level gaps. Alterac Pass Objective capture timer reduced by 5 seconds in each phase. The first phase only spawns a single defending unit. Cavalry now gain more health in the later stages of the game. Cavalry now take 60% damage from structures (up from 50%). Braxis Holdout Early objectives have lowered in health by 15%, but scaling has been increased significantly after 15 minutes. Garden of Terror Garden Terror health scaling increased. Garden Terror structure disabling plant bulb now damages itself at 10% per second (up from 6%). Infernal Shrines Early objectives have lowered in health by 15%, but scaling has been increased significantly after 15 minutes. Warhead Junction Nuke damage has been changed to flat, scaling damage. Scaling is updated when a Warhead is picked up. Nukes now deal double damage versus Forts, Keeps, and the Core. Return to Top

If Overkill is active when there are no possible targets, Overkill will no longer be cancelled, and instead will start firing in the direction of the last primary target.
