Only 2 Renown Per Week Starting Today

Recommended Posts

Starting with this week's reset, Renown will only increase by 2, not 3, each week.

The Renown cap increased by 3 each week but starting today, Renown will only increase by 2 levels.

The Renown cap is 40, and we will reach it during the week of March 9, 2020. Had Renown increased by 3, we would have reached the Renown cap in mid-February.

Renown Caps

  • Shadowlands Release Week: Renown level 3;
  • Week of December 1: Renown level 6;
  • Week of December 8: Renown level 9;
  • Week of December 15: Renown level 12;
  • Week of December 22: Renown level 15;
  • Week of December 29: Renown level 18;
  • Week of January 5: Renown level 21;
  • Week of January 12: Renown level 24;
  • Week of January 19: Renown level 26;
  • Week of January 26: Renown level 28;
  • Week of February 2: Renown level 30;
  • Week of February 9: Renown level 32;
  • Week of February 16: Renown level 34;
  • Week of February 23: Renown level 36;
  • Week of March 2: Renown level 38;
  • Week of March 9: Renown level 40.

Yeah, anima gain is way too slow. Could only afford upgrades up to level 2, and it's going to take a long time to get everything maxed. Covenant renown should have remained as it was, no good reason to slow it down.

Blizzard is already barely giving anima, now it’s even more of a grind for renown.

Can someone please explain to me the connection between Anima and Renown "grinding"......

We got 3 before, 2 from weekly quests, 1 from covenant campaign.

Now, no campaign left, so we get 2 from the weeklies.........

Anima is painful to farm more than the easy first 1000 odd a week, but guessing that's by Blizz design. Annoying if you want the armour.....

What slow down? Aside from having completed the questline, we aren't getting anything less than before. Of the three renown ranks we got each week, one only opened up quests that were required to get to the next. Two gave rewards, which is not changing. If anything, it'll take less time each week to get our renown prizes.

Blizzard metric of how well a game is doing is the time played metric. They dont want people playing a lot but in a short period of time, they lose sub money that way. By spreading and time gating the game they keep subs up which is why they shifted to time played instead of number of subscriptions.

Y'all clowns are aware that this is only because the third renown rank per week was given by the Covenant quests, right ?
If you're not done with your covenant questline, you still get 3 per week, if you are, there's no more story quest for you, so you don't get quest rewards for quest you're not doing. Anima is another problem and isn't AT ALL tied to player power, so whine all you want, this is optional content. Juste wait if you don't want to get it done now, it'll be buffed later.

I'm confused why people are so salty? Do you want to just have stormwind syndrome the whole time you're in the game waiting for more content because you rushed it all? It's a way to make content last and not require you to play for 8 hours ever single day just to keep on pace for your main. Just look at the math, you'll be "done" by march 9th as it is, which is likely to line up with the "spring release" of 9.1. It's time gating so we can literally go do other things with our lives, even if that's just playing other characters or even other games.

Also, as someone that didn't start Shadowlands until late December this doesn't matter much. I got caught up all the way within a couple weeks of hitting 60. Yes, Anima can be slow, but it's not gating any real power of your character, only some economic benefits. If they want to give us more anima, I'd appreciate it in mythic+ chests so my non-gear reward isn't a lowly 35 but rather the 105 of a world quest.

      If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
      Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
      Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

      Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

      A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
      How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?

      We've already talked about and taken a first look at the Delve-specific mount coming in the War Within, but now it's time to check out all of its customization options!
      LeystTV has delved into the mount and shown off all the options, from the different colors to nose, wing, thruster, and top customizations, with glider, blimp, helicopter looks and more! There's even different versions of Horde and Alliance decals to choose from!

      And these may not even be all the options present at launch, not to mention new ones Blizzard might add with later patches, making this one of the cooler mounts in the game.
