Malfurion Stormrage, The Druid Lore

Another Hero lore spotlight has been posted, and this time the light is on Malfurion Stormrage, the Druid! Poor Malfurion had to get downgraded to merely "the Druid" for simplicity's sake in Hearthstone, but he's definitely anything but your regular run-of-the-mill Druid! Malfurion has an extremely interesting past intertwined with many other key Warcraft universe characters (such as Tyrande and Illidan Stormrage), so be sure to read all about the powerful Archdruid!

Team SoloMid Signs Pro Hearthstone Player

On the competitive side of Hearthstone, Team SoloMid, known for their powerful League of Legends and Smite teams, have signed their first professional Hearthstone player! Harry "MaSsan" Cheong, a well-known Hearthstone player with a popular stream on Twitch.tv. It will definitely be interesting to watch the growth of Hearthstone as a viable competitive esport, and I'm sure we'll see Hearthstone gain popularity as we get closer to the 2014 World Championship! Be sure to check out MaSsan's stream when live to learn a thing or two from his excellent commentary!

For the first time, we know exactly where and when the card reveals for the upcoming expansion will happen.
The reveal season will start off with the livestream on November 20. Then, it's time for the fan sites and streamers to take over.
The schedule for the reveals during November 21 to November 26 has been unveiled and you can check it out below. We will have a fast pace of 3 to 4 reveals per day!
      Blizzard Entertainment
We’ve teamed up with the Hearthstone community to bring you a treasure trove of card reveals!
Tricky traps and dangerous dungeon dwellers lurk behind every twist and turn of Hearthstone’s upcoming expansion. We’ve gathered a party of Hearthstone community members to bring to light all the lavish loot and malicious minions they’ve discovered while venturing deep into the catacombs.
Check out the days and times below, and click the images to portal directly over to their channels.
Week of November 20 The schedule for Week 2 will be posted on Friday November 24 PST!
      (source)
We will be following closely these card reveals. You should look out for them on our news forum and on our Kobolds & Catacombs hub.

It looks like that, contrary to previous expansions, the Kobolds and Catacombs card reveals will start with a card reveal stream.
We are used to getting card reveals streams in the end of the revealing period, but now we get one in the beginning (and presumably another one in the end?).
As it was already known, the card reveals will restart on November 20. The stream, hosted by Game Designer Peter Whalen and Brian Kibler, will begin at 11 a.m. PST or 8:00 p.m. CET of that day. It will be broadcast on the PlayHearthstone Twitch channel and it will be available in several languages.
Hopefully we'll get a good amount of cards shown; we'd expect to see around 15 cards. As always, Icy Veins will be here to cover this. Don't forget to keep an eye at our Kobolds & Catacombs hub!

We finally have a new brawl this week and it rewards a Kobolds & Catacombs pack.
In this Tavern Brawl, you just pick a class and you get a random deck.
Both players get a quest. This quest requires that 7 minions are played by any player. When the quest is completed a Treasure Chest, similar to the one spawned by Marin the Fox, will appear on both sides of the board and the quest counter will be reset.
If you are the one to play the 7th minion, then an easier-to-break 0/4 Treasure Chest (which can be healed) will appear on your opponent's side. In contrast, a normal 0/8 Treasure Chest will appear on your side of the board and vice versa.
Be aware that even though the quest states that minions need to be summoned, they actually need to be played. This means that cards like Stand Against Darkness or the minions summoned from cards like Barnes or Murloc Tidehunter do not add to the quest counter.
This Tavern Brawl combines skill and luck. You have to make critical decisions in choosing whether to push face damage or break the chest and hope for the best. On the other hand, a good Treasure Chest highroll can completely change the game.
Upon victory in this brawl, you will be awarded with a Kobolds & Catacombs card pack which can be opened when the new expansion releases.
