Mythic+ Tier List in Patch 9.1 (Shadowlands Season 2 Week 7)

Recommended Posts

The seventh week of Season 2 is here, so we're looking at the class tier list for Mythic+.

In this article, we are looking at the tier list for Mythic+ based on the data gathered by Benched.me. The site plots all runs available from the Blizzard API (excluding the Chinese region) on a single ridge plot, so the data will be different from our Shadowlands Mythic+ Rankings maintained by Petko.

To rank all specializations, Benched.me uses something called Meta Ratio Score. The "ratio" is between the specialization's representation in the meta vs. its representation in the population. For example, a specialization makes up 3% of all players in the population, but 6% in the meta, which means that spec's ratio is 6% / 3% = 2.

Furthermore, the site defines the "population" as all keys level 2 through 15 and the "meta" as keys 16 and above. Based on that, we break down specs into tiers based on their meta ratio as follows:

  • S-Tier: Ratio of at least 1.5.
  • A-Tier: Ratio between 1 and 1.5.
  • B-Tier: Ratio between 0.5 and 1.
  • C-Tier: Ratio below 0.5, but greater than 0.
  • F-Tier: Ratio of 0 (the spec isn't present in the high-level bin at all).

It is currently the eighth week of Shadowlands Season 2 and here is how the individual specs are ranking.

  • Affliction Warlock - 1.92 meta ratio
  • Subtlety Rogue - 1.59 meta ratio

  • Outlaw Rogue - 1.39 meta ratio
  • Guardian Druid - 1.28 meta ratio
  • Brewmaster Monk - 1.28 meta ratio

  • Balance Druid - 1.14 meta ratio
  • Frost Mage 1.12 meta ratio
  • Discipline Priest - 1.10 meta ratio
  • Fire Mage - 1.10 meta ratio
  • Vengeance Demon Hunter - 1.01 meta ratio
  • Shadow Priest - 1.01 meta ratio
  • Arms Warrior - 1.00 meta ratio

  • Unholy Death Knight - 0.97 meta ratio
  • Havoc Demon Hunter - 0.93 meta ratio
  • Blood Death Knight - 0.90 meta ratio

  • Destruction Warlock - 0.80 meta ratio
  • Protection Warrior - 0.79 meta ratio
  • Restoration Druid - 0.73 meta ratio
  • Protection Paladin - 0.71 meta ratio

Lists like these are why some classes have an incredibly difficult time getting into 10-15 keys.  As an arms warrior putting out 8-9k in +15 keys, yet this list reflects them as borderline A/B tier makes absolutely no sense.

Try to get into a mythic raid with a ret pal by explaining you are B tier.... People will totally care what you think or like....

"dis game gud" Andys: Just play what you like duh....

Reality: Doing tank dps by playing what you like.

Im confused a bit here, what makes affliction lock so good in lower keys?  things die before you can really get going.

Tauren and Trolls will appreciate new boots coming in the latest patch. On the 9.1.5 PTR, they can be purchased from the Trial of Style NPCs, but their source remains unknown for now. Below, we previewed all the new models.
      Rare Boots
      Augur's Walkers

      Bloodbathed Slippers

      Boots of the Blightbelcher

      Cleric's Sabatons

      Cold Cage Moccasins

      Conjuror's Slippers

      Keeper's Strides

      Patroller's Footwear

      Shadow-Stitched Stalkers

      Stalker's Treads

      Thief's Footpads

      Virulent Gravetreaders

      Epic Boots
The epic-quality boots look better than the rare ones. Currently, we found four different tints of epic feet cosmetic armor in the game files.

      Freezing Footguards

      Pustule Prancers

      Searing Stompers

Undaunted, the deaf and hard-of-hearing Warcraft guild, have completed Ahead of the Curve: Sylvanas Windrunner. Congratulations!
Undaunted is at it again! The guild earned AotC Denathrius and cleared 3/10 Mythic Castle Nathria on March 26, 2021. Yesterday, a post on Reddit revealed that they now downed Sylvanas on Heroic difficulty. Now, Mythic difficulty awaits. We wish them the best of luck! Here is a screenshot of the guild shared on Reddit.

In something that has now become a new WoW tradition, players have been gathering to celebrate the end of Summer as we now have a very thematic seasonal clock in the game! The circle is complete as we've now seen all 4 variations of the mount in-game as well.
While WoW is pretty static when it comes to seasons and, well, time in general, we now have a really cool connection to the real world in the form of the Wandering Ancient tree mount, so we'll be seeing gatherings like these below a lot!

      Source: Galaxy_119.
And some will be showing the tree off in its natural habitat, proving that even ancients can be VERY stealthy in the right conditions:

      Source: drinnster.
The Wandering Ancient is really awesome and adds extra interactivity and "feel" of the world - definitely one of the better additions to WoW in recent memory and we hope to see these little changing of seasons rituals continue on forever!
In case you're new or missed when the mount arrived, it should be in your mount collection tab already as  gift if you have Shadowlands purchased, now head on out there and showcase the new Fall colors!
