Mythic+ Tier List in Patch 9.1 (Shadowlands Season 2 Week 8)

Recommended Posts

The eighth week of Mythic Season 2 is coming to an end, and we're looking at the class tier list for Mythic+.

In this article, we are looking at the tier list for Mythic+ based on the data gathered by Benched.me. The site plots all runs available from the Blizzard API (excluding the Chinese region) on a single ridge plot, so the data will be different from our Shadowlands Mythic+ Rankings maintained by Petko.

To rank all specializations, Benched.me uses something called Meta Ratio Score. The "ratio" is between the specialization's representation in the meta vs. its representation in the population. For example, a specialization makes up 3% of all players in the population, but 6% in the meta, which means that spec's ratio is 6% / 3% = 2.

Furthermore, the site defines the "population" as all keys level 2 through 15 and the "meta" as keys 16 and above. Based on that, we break down specs into tiers based on their meta ratio as follows:

  • S-Tier: Ratio of at least 1.5.
  • A-Tier: Ratio between 1 and 1.5.
  • B-Tier: Ratio between 0.5 and 1.
  • C-Tier: Ratio below 0.5, but greater than 0.
  • F-Tier: Ratio of 0 (the spec isn't present in the high-level bin at all).

The 8th week of Shadowlands Season 2 is ending and here is how the individual specs are ranking.

  • Affliction Warlock - 2.01 meta ratio
  • Subtlety Rogue - 1.58 meta ratio

  • Outlaw Rogue - 1.37 meta ratio
  • Fire Mage - 1.31 meta ratio
  • Guardian Druid - 1.28 meta ratio
  • Brewmaster Monk - 1.25 meta ratio
  • Holy Paladin - 1.24 meta ratio
  • Windwalker Monk - 1.24 meta ratio
  • Arcane Mage - 1.20 meta ratio
  • Marksmanship Hunter - 1.16 meta ratio
  • Restoration Shaman - 1.15 meta ratio
  • Elemental Shaman - 1.13 meta ratio
  • Balance Druid - 1.13 meta ratio
  • Discipline Priest - 1.08 meta ratio
  • Arms Warrior - 1.08 meta ratio
  • Frost Mage 1.08 meta ratio
  • Vengeance Demon Hunter - 1.00 meta ratio
  • Shadow Priest - 1.00 meta ratio

  • Unholy Death Knight - 0.97 meta ratio
  • Havoc Demon Hunter - 0.94 meta ratio
  • Blood Death Knight - 0.91 meta ratio
  • Fury Warrior - 0.87 meta ratio
  • Holy Priest - 0.84 meta ratio
  • Protection Warrior - 0.79 meta ratio
  • Assassination Rogue - 0.79 meta ratio
  • Survival Hunter - 0.75 meta ratio
  • Destruction Warlock - 0.75 meta ratio
  • Restoration Druid - 0.74 meta ratio
  • Protection Paladin - 0.74 meta ratio
  • Beast Mastery Hunter - 0.68 meta ratio
  • Mistweaver Monk - 0.67 meta ratio
  • Frost Death Knight - 0.67 meta ratio
  • Feral Druid - 0.67 meta ratio
  • Enhancement Shaman - 0.65 meta ratio

A calm week in Mythic+, where we see Windwalker move up in its weakest bracket and Fire actually see a drop anywhere, while Subtlety has a very good week and might be ready to dethrone the eternal blue king.
Note: The logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
This past week was Tyrannical, Bolstering, Explosive (and Tormented).
      All Keys
Windwalkers return to the top 3, correcting their drop from last week while Subtlety actually comes much closer to Fire's eternal throne. Arcane rises two into the top 5, pushing Affliction and Balance down, as Shadow sees the biggest movement in the high percentiles, jumping 4 into 8th. Marksmanship drops one and Havoc gets in-between the Warriors in the middle of the pack , as the bottom 5 remain the same, with Retribution dropping to dead last.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
The all percentages bracket is starting to look more like the 95th, as Subtlety takes 2nd place here as well, but Affliction is still doing a lot better and keeps its 3rd place at least. Arcane is doing even better here compared to last week, jumping 4 into 6th, while Fury dropped 3 spots seeing Havoc, Unholy and Survival pass it in the middle of the pack.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      High Keys
Fire hasn't managed to take over the +15s quite yet and the standings remain the same in the top 5, but 6th sees a big change as Havoc moves there, rising 2 spots. Survival and Assassination are the next to rise, 3 and 4 spots respectively, as Fury drops 3. All the specs are incredibly close in the 15s still, so even the bottom of the pack is doing really well here.

Mythic+15 All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
Windwalker retains its No.1 spot in the 20ies and Fire actually drops a space, as Subtletly had a really good week across all keys it seems. Arms and Arcane both moved up, with the Warrior spec surpassing the Mage along the way. Havoc jumped 3 spots and almost made it to the top 5, while Assassination was the biggest mover, rising a whole 7 spots into 8th!
