Legion Released 5 Years Ago Today

Legion, one of the most memorable World of Warcraft expansions, was released 5 years ago today.

The expansion was unveiled at Gamescom 2015 by Tom Chilton and launched on August 30, 2016.

Legion contained some systems that returned in the Shadowlands expansion, namely Legendary Items, and Artifact-like progression through Soulbinds.

At the beginning of the expansion, all classes were given unique weapons called Artifacts that had a progression system with various unlockable traits and multiple appearances for each specialization that required you to complete various pieces of content, like the Mage Tower.

Each class also had its unique Class Halls and questlines for mounts.

The expansion had 3 major content patches.

Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan

In the first major content patch of Legion, Blizzard added a new dungeon that takes place in Karazhan. A new Trial of Valor raid was added where adventurers faced Odyn, Guarm, and Helya. The Suramar campaign continued with new quests leading up to the opening of the Nighthold with Gul'dan as the final boss.

Patch 7.2: The Tomb of Sargeras

Tomb of Sargeras was added with Kil'jaeden as the final boss in Legion's second content patch. After his defeat, Argus became visible in the sky, and we found out that we will be taking the fight directly to the home of the Burning Legion.

Blizzard also added flying (Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two) in this patch, Broken Shore with new World Quests, and a region-wide effort that provided new content each day (e.g. Mage Tower).

The game also saw the Cathedral of Light dungeon, the continuation of the Order Hall campaign, PvP Brawls, and other minor features.

Patch 7.3: Shadows of Argus

The final content patch of Legion was probably the biggest patch the game has ever seen. Blizzard has squeezed in almost an expansion worth of content on Argus.

We board the Vindicaar and reach Argus in search of Alleria and Turalyon. We learn from Magni that Sargeras has been torturing Argus' World Soul to fuel the infinite armies of the Burning Legion.

We face Argus in Antorus, the Burning Throne raid. At the end of the expansion, Sargeras plunges his sword into Azeroth, wounding her, causing Azerite, a mysterious source of power to emerge everywhere in the world.

Patch 7.3 content included Invasion Points, repeatable content with various environmental hazards, the Seat of Triumvirate dungeon, two new factions, and more.

At the end of the expansion, we destroyed our Artifacts to help mend Azeroth's wounds.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?

We've already talked about and taken a first look at the Delve-specific mount coming in the War Within, but now it's time to check out all of its customization options!
LeystTV has delved into the mount and shown off all the options, from the different colors to nose, wing, thruster, and top customizations, with glider, blimp, helicopter looks and more! There's even different versions of Horde and Alliance decals to choose from!

And these may not even be all the options present at launch, not to mention new ones Blizzard might add with later patches, making this one of the cooler mounts in the game.
