9.1.5 Season 2 Mythic+ DPS, Tank and Healer Log Rankings, Week 1: Fire Finally Falls, Frost Rises

Recommended Posts

hbM5jtv.jpg

9.1.5 has arrived and we're taking a look at everything in Mythic+, from all keys, high keys, DPS, tanks, healers, you name it, we got it! The patch stirred things up a little, as Windwalkers pushed up and Fire actually (and finally) dropped down quite a bit as the other specs got some access to those not-quite-so-capped AoE spells.

Note: The logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.

These past week was Fortified Fortified, Raging Raging, Explosive Explosive and Tormented Tormented).

All Keys

95th percentile

In the high percentiles we see Fire finally going down quite a bit, as Windwalkers overtake it, but Subtletly is still far and away the No.1, and considering it's doing really well in raids too, it's a damn good time to be a Sub Rogue! The big news here actually mirrors the raid stats as well, as Frost rises up into third place, as the patch buffed the spec (both with direct % increases and with the AoE changes) and perhaps even the free Covenant swap allowed players up to experiment. Affliction also rose solidly and Fury raced past Arms into No.9, jumping 4 closely followed by Shadow.

All Percentiles

Windwalkers are just everywhere as they also take the No.2 spot in the generalist rankings, as Fire drops even more here and Frost rises 2. Marksmanship jumps quite a bit as well, rising 3 into 5th, as Balance only goes up 1 right after it, taking advantage of Fire's steep 5 spot drop. And while Affliction retained it's No.3 spot, the other two Warlock specs didn't fare as well, as they are now both at the very bottom of the rankings.

High Keys

+15 Keys

Fire didn't fall off quite as much in 15s, with only Fury managing to get past it into 3rd, and the rest of the rankings are not only remarkably even across all specs here, but also very stable. Outlaw dropped 2 spots as Marksmanship and Havoc overtook it, and Survival and Frost Mage swapped places at the end of the top 10. None of the Warlock specs is doing well here (although that's relatively speaking, as again ALL specs are insanely close, right through to the very end), as Demo and Destro are the last 2, same as in the overall rankings.

+20 Keys

We have a swap at the top as Windwalkers take Subtlety's long-held throne, as Fire refuses to budge from its third spot, the 20ies being the only category where the spec hasn't fallen. Fury is definitely the biggest winner of 9.1.5, as it pulls off the largest switch in a while, with it and Arms taking each other's old places - Fury up 4 into 4th, Arms down 4 into 8th! Arcane goes back down on one of its very frequent oscillations, and the very bottom is once again reserved for the two ugly stepchildren of the Warlock class.

Tanks and Healers

Even the tanks had some changes after the patch, which doesn't happen often, as we see a new No.1! Guardians take over the tank side of things with Brewmasters having to settle for 2nd once again, as Protection Paladins also drop down 1 to make room for Blood.

Healers, on the other hand, remain pretty much the same as before, with only Resto Druids doing a little better and almost taking down Holy Priest, but not quite. Not exactly an exciting stat to end on, but hey, that's healers for you! You do really want them to be consistent after all.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides or our extensive Mythic+ guides as well, which have tier lists, dungeon rankings and more.

A huge amount of hotfixes have arrived for Wrath Classic, with a M+ fix for retail as well.
      September 27 (Source)
      Dungeons and Raids
Mythic+ Affixes Fixed several issues where Quaking could damage players in cases where they were unable to react. Wrath of the Lich King Classic
The maximum amount of in-game currency that can be transferred to another realm is now 500g for player-characters at levels 10-30, 2,500g at levels 31-50, and 25,000g at level 51 or higher. Players who enter a battleground while mounted on a flying mount or while shapeshifted into Flight Form will now return to their flying mount or shapeshift form upon exiting the battleground. Fixed an issue where skill level requirements were not enforced when casting the Skinning spell from your spell book. Fixed an issue causing Wartook Iceborn to sometimes disappear during the quest “Across Transborea.” Fixed an issue in “The Battle for Undercity” where King Varian Wrynn was attacking an NPC that should not be part of the event. Fixed an issue with the quest "Mission: Plague This!" where Greer Orehammer would not offer another flight to players who already had Orehammer's Precious Bombs in their inventory. Fixed an issue with "The Last Rites" quest where a player could cause Thassarian to become stuck under certain conditions. Brewfest The Dark Iron Brewer in Blackrock Depths will now correctly drop his Mug of Dire Brew when sufficiently drunk. Bottoms up! Karazhan Nightbane no longer requires completion of the associated questline and can now be summoned by any player using the Blackened Urn object on the balcony. Utgarde Pinnacle Grauf should no longer regenerate to full health when flying off if it is not killed within a single pass during the Skadi the Ruthless encounter. Gundrak Slad'ran should now appropriately stop summoning snakes upon death.
