9.1.5 Season 2 Mythic+ DPS, Tank and Healer Log Rankings, Week 1: Fire Finally Falls, Frost Rises

Recommended Posts

hbM5jtv.jpg

9.1.5 has arrived and we're taking a look at everything in Mythic+, from all keys, high keys, DPS, tanks, healers, you name it, we got it! The patch stirred things up a little, as Windwalkers pushed up and Fire actually (and finally) dropped down quite a bit as the other specs got some access to those not-quite-so-capped AoE spells.

Note: The logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.

These past week was Fortified Fortified, Raging Raging, Explosive Explosive and Tormented Tormented).

All Keys

95th percentile

In the high percentiles we see Fire finally going down quite a bit, as Windwalkers overtake it, but Subtletly is still far and away the No.1, and considering it's doing really well in raids too, it's a damn good time to be a Sub Rogue! The big news here actually mirrors the raid stats as well, as Frost rises up into third place, as the patch buffed the spec (both with direct % increases and with the AoE changes) and perhaps even the free Covenant swap allowed players up to experiment. Affliction also rose solidly and Fury raced past Arms into No.9, jumping 4 closely followed by Shadow.

All Percentiles

Windwalkers are just everywhere as they also take the No.2 spot in the generalist rankings, as Fire drops even more here and Frost rises 2. Marksmanship jumps quite a bit as well, rising 3 into 5th, as Balance only goes up 1 right after it, taking advantage of Fire's steep 5 spot drop. And while Affliction retained it's No.3 spot, the other two Warlock specs didn't fare as well, as they are now both at the very bottom of the rankings.

High Keys

+15 Keys

Fire didn't fall off quite as much in 15s, with only Fury managing to get past it into 3rd, and the rest of the rankings are not only remarkably even across all specs here, but also very stable. Outlaw dropped 2 spots as Marksmanship and Havoc overtook it, and Survival and Frost Mage swapped places at the end of the top 10. None of the Warlock specs is doing well here (although that's relatively speaking, as again ALL specs are insanely close, right through to the very end), as Demo and Destro are the last 2, same as in the overall rankings.

+20 Keys

We have a swap at the top as Windwalkers take Subtlety's long-held throne, as Fire refuses to budge from its third spot, the 20ies being the only category where the spec hasn't fallen. Fury is definitely the biggest winner of 9.1.5, as it pulls off the largest switch in a while, with it and Arms taking each other's old places - Fury up 4 into 4th, Arms down 4 into 8th! Arcane goes back down on one of its very frequent oscillations, and the very bottom is once again reserved for the two ugly stepchildren of the Warlock class.

Tanks and Healers

Even the tanks had some changes after the patch, which doesn't happen often, as we see a new No.1! Guardians take over the tank side of things with Brewmasters having to settle for 2nd once again, as Protection Paladins also drop down 1 to make room for Blood.

Healers, on the other hand, remain pretty much the same as before, with only Resto Druids doing a little better and almost taking down Holy Priest, but not quite. Not exactly an exciting stat to end on, but hey, that's healers for you! You do really want them to be consistent after all.

War Within Alpha should be just around the corner! When do we expect the latest expansion testing to start?
If you've been keeping an eye on the World of Warcraft 2024 roadmap, you're likely excited about what's coming up! According to the roadmap, the War Within Alpha is expected to kick off sometime after Patch 10.2.6, which was released two weeks ago, and before the beginning of Season 4.

Typically, a season lasts 22 weeks. Right now, we're in the 20th week of Season 3, with just about two weeks left. Let's break down the hypothetical timeline:
Season 3 Week 20: Week of March 26 Season 3 Week 21: Week of April 2 Season 3 Week 22: Week of April 9 Season 4 Week 1: Week of April 15 This schedule suggests that the War Within Alpha could potentially launch as early as next week or during the week of April 9.
The most recent news from the War Within camp came on March 27, when Blizzard rolled out a fresh encrypted internal build on the WoW Dev CDN. The internal builds are becoming more and more frequent which indicates Blizzard's ramping up to start testing in the very near future.
Placeholder for tweet 1772901807448052151 In the meantime, we encourage you to check out everything coming in the War Within pre-patch that will release 1 month before the actual expansion.

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.
      (Source)
      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale

We've looked at the Mythic+ Tier List for the first time in Patch 10.2.6!
      DISCLAIMER
The following post is based on data from U.GG. Therefore, the data presented here may differ from Petko's Mythic Tier Lists maintained on our site.

The tier list of each spec is determined by its effectiveness and prevalence at the highest levels of Mythic+ play.
