Recommended Posts

In our latest post, we take a closer look at what it takes to wear 2 legendaries at the same time in Eternity's End, all options, and the limitations of the system.

Requirements to Unlock Wearing 2 Legendaries in Patch 9.2

In Patch 9.2, players can unlock the ability to wear 2 legendaries simultaneously. This is gated behind a reputation farm and you'll have to reach Revered with The Enlightened faction to do so.

You have two options when it comes to wearing 2 legendaries at once. You can either buy a legendary belt with the power or memory from The Enlightened quartermaster and add it to any legendary item. The belt is more expensive because it's an item and you don't need a base item here.

Memory of Unity

Memory of Unity Memory of Unity is account-wide and allows you to craft a new Legendary item and imbue it with the power of your Covenant Legendary introduced in Patch 9.1. If your Best-in-Slot legendary takes up the waist slot, you want to craft a new legendary with the Unity power that takes up a different slot. The memory costs 500 Cosmic Flux.

The Unity legendary power effect will swap will automatically swap with your chosen Covenant.

Belt of Unity

Alternatively, you can buy an item level 265 belt at Revered with The Enlightened, which comes with the new Unity legendary power effect by default. The item costs 2,500 Cosmic Flux because it's a ready-made legendary and you don't need base items or anything to craft it.

What's Cosmic Flux?

Cosmic Flux is a new currency in Patch 9.2 used to buy items off Enlightened brokers. It's rewarded from doing Season 3 content and drops from raid bosses, PvP, Mythic+, Torghast, and Zereth Mortis activities.

Limitations of the System

  • Your second Legendary Power must always be Unity. You can’t pick both Legendary Powers.

I am not sure if I am reading that wrong but it seems like you can't actually equip any two legendaries. It has to be your current covenant legendary and any other? Gee, that's sure to go over well.........

I reworded the section to make it less confusing. Sorry about that.

Uhm... it never was the case, and that it'd take a crapton of rebalancing before we've got into something stable. That one seems more reasonable, plus you can now covenant-swap without wasting thoudands of gold on new legendaries.

I respectfully disagree. They let you pick any two legendaries at the end of Legion and the options were much funner. Sometimes some combos were the best, but no one minded much cuzz you could just pick those. Its true the gold costs and torghast farms need to be made reasonable, but thats not a good reason to stifle it.

The new War Within Allied Races was added to the Alpha today and we already have a full look at not only all their customization options, but their dances as well, courtesy of MrGM! You can check out the Earthen's racial abilities here if you missed them earlier.
Let's start with the more dynamic feature, with both male and female dances:
And then there's big amount of customization options, as well as a size comparison with regular dwarves:

So, are we liking the new Allied Race overall? More than actual dwarves?

Here's a really cool possibility for the War Within, as a very subtle and mildly mysterious comment from Executive Producer and Vice President for WoW, Holly Longdale, may be hinting at our Warband characters getting a lot more involved in our travels!
First spotted by UlthansWrath, Longdale came up to Taliesin & Evitel at the recent London War Within Alpha press event and had a short chat about the Warband screen, when she casually said "wouldn't it be cool if those were the characters you took as your followers in your Follower Dungeons?" After the obvious confirmation from Taliesin and Evitel that, yes, yes it would be cool, she just said "hm" and that was the end of the conversation.
Obviously this isn't any sort of official confirmation, but considering this is a really awesome idea, it seems likely Blizzard are at the very least discussing it, if not already working on it.

The Warband system is already great, and this would add a lot to it for players that choose to go solo into dungeons, as it would give them even more motivation to get some great characters in their Warband - even if it was just a cosmetic option.
So, what do you think, will we be seeing this feature when the War Within launches?
