Send Soul Cinders to Alts in Patch 9.2

Recommended Posts

ww94sA3.jpg

You can send Soul Cinders to alts in Eternity's End... at a price!

Bonesmith Heirmir in Korthia has been updated with Packaged Soul Cinders Packaged Soul Cinders, an item that costs 300 Soul Cinders. It's Bind-to-Account and you can send it to your alts, but it only grants the other character 250 Soul Cinders, so you're paying a transfer fee equal to 50 Soul Cinders per bag.

Soul Cinders are required to craft and upgrade Legendary items in Shadowlands.

Complaining for the sake of complaining about a valid QoL improvement, WoW community in a nutshell.

It's not like you can get 250 in under five minutes to boot. As many times as you like.

I think Soul Ash may have been the first time we could transfer a currency to an alt without a slight loss in the trade so this is more like return to form?

Playing the game is playing the game. Why does it matter to Blizzard which character we happen to want to be playing on at the moment. Not implementing transfer of SC makes the game a punishing experience to have spent a lot of time on progress that wont transfer over. It's a great QoL improvement for sure, but by creating a loss penalty Blizzard is still saying, in some small way, that this is a penalty for not spending time on the correct character.

And to that... we just want to say: "Hey, Im playing your damn game, why isnt that good enough for you?"

If you want to spend 5 minutes to farm something you already farmed then go right ahead, no one is stopping you.  To act like the community is somehow misguided for complaining about the once again need to farm more for alts is ridiculous.  This is a very standard complaint and really why should I have to farm more just to play an alt?  I just want to play my alt and if I already did the content why can't I just transfer 1:1 to my alt... its silly and makes people not want to play their alts.

The only nutshell is you for generalizing people's legitimate complaints.

We have a very Dracthyr-looking piece of concept art from way back pre-Vanilla, as xperio28 spotted a bulkier version of the new race coming in Dragonflight in the Art of World of Warcraft book!
There's been a lot of talk about the look of the Dracthyr, mostly focusing on their size and bulkiness, and while the art below almost certainly isn't of this specific race, as it was made pre-Vanilla WoW, it's looking very similar:

      Source: xperio28.
The text is very hard to make out, but enigmapenguin and YendorWons in the thread may have figured it out, at least partially:
Greater whelp grown to man size will hunt other dragon whelps then larger dragons feed on The whole "feed on" aspect is particularly interesting, as there's plenty of speculation going around on whether or not Galakrond, the OG dragon-eater will have something to do with Dragonflight's story (especially with the potential for the Infinite dragonflight's involvement).
We've have plenty of bipedal dragon-like creatures in WoW over the years so the connection isn't direct, but it is interesting to see how far back the idea of playable-looking dragon race goes, especially since we know the original plan was to have many more playable races, including naga.
