Shadowlands Season 4 Fated Raid Mythic DPS Log Rankings, Week 2: Sanctum

Recommended Posts

We're looking back at week 2 of Shadowlands Season 4 and the fated raid was the Sanctum of Domination. The other big change that arrived this past week was another Destruction AoE nerf, as well as tuning for Survival, with AoE nerfs and single-target  buffs.

An important note before we begin: as the Fated raids are switching out each week, our comparisons to the previous weeks will be a little less relevant, but we'll still mention it for context - just keep in mind it won't be a direct comparison from week to week as it was before.

Mythic

95th Percentile

Destruction has finally been replaced in the No.1 spot, as the nerfs and the Sanctum mixed things up quite a bit! Demonology has been waiting a long time to take over both the Warlock and overall top spot, as another very familiar face arrives back into the top 3. Windwalkers return, as they take 2nd and move 5 up from last week's Nathria position, while Elemental actually remains in 3rd, showing the specs's resilience between raids. Survival actually goes up one after its tuning and the raid switch, with Frost DKs following suit. Destruction lands in 6th after the nerfs, followed by a face we haven't seen in a very long time this high, as Fury takes 7th. Outlaw drops 3 from last week, as the Sanctum doesn't quite work as well as Nathria for them, with Unholy DKs rise and Fire remains at about the same spot. We also have a brand new bottom-slotter, as Subtletly gets a reprieve and actually moves to the middle of the pack, with Feral taking the dubious crown, while Affliction and Balance hover just slightly above.

All Percentiles

Destruction falls even more in the overall bracket, as Elemental rises all the way into 2nd here, beating out Windwalker for the silver medal. Outlaw is hanging in there much more successfully, only losing 1 spot as opposed to its higher percentiles ranking. Survival and Frost DK stick together here as well, with Fury landing in the same 7th spot as in the higher percentiles. Marksmanship is doing a lot better here, however, claiming the 9th spot, just ahead of the fallen once No.1 Warlock. Arcane and Fire cluster up just outside the top 10, followed by Retribution and  Subtletly. Affliction is back in last place where it was during almost all of 9.2, with the two Druids keeping it company there.

Heroic

The top 2 remains the same, even with the raid switch, as Demonology and Outlaw are still up there, this time followed by Fire Mage. Enhancement is still very popular in heroic, actually rising quite a bit since last week as well. Survival drops a little as Shadow stays the same, with Arms staying the top Warrior spec, despite Fury's big return in Mythic. Destruction was never as popular in Heroic as it was in Mythic in the first place, but this latest nerf sees it plummeting from its middle of the pack position from last week and straight into the bottom 2, only saved from dead last by its Affliction brother.

Players are currently unable to catalyze gear from the Black Temple Timewalking cache into class set piece.
It's unclear whether this limitation is a bug or an intended feature, but the gear obtained from completing this week's Black Temple Timewalking quest cannot be converted into a set piece using the Revival Catalyst, as reported on Reddit.
I personally checked this at Antuka and can confirm that gear from the weekly quest cache cannot be catalyzed. I received the Grips of Damnation from the Essence boss yesterday, and found that the item was ineligible for conversion at the Catalyst.

Here's how you can upgrade your legendary weapons in Dragonflight Season 4 next week!
This one is for Fyr'alath and Nasz'uro owners. You must first farm 2 Antique Bronze Bullions. However, you can only acquire 1 Antique Bronze Bullion per week from Awakened Raid bosses. The bullion will drop in Raid Finder difficulty too.
Next week, the cap will be raised to 2 and a catch-up method will be implemented, so players who didn't have the chance to get their first bullion can get it from the weekly quest in Valdrakken.
Anyway, the soonest you can upgrade your legendary to the base item level of 502 is during the week of April 30th (so next week).
Once you have 2 Antique Bronze Bullions, head to the Parting Glass in Valdrakken.

Evokers need to buy Scale of Awakening from Iszinormi for 2 Antique Bronze Bullions. Death Knights, Paladins, and Warriors need to buy Scale of Awakening from Iszinormi for  2 Antique Bronze Bullions. Once purchased, use the consumable to upgrade your legendary to item level 502, the base item level for Season 4.
After that, you can further upgrade your legendary using Flightstones and crests. Check out our gear upgrading guide for more info!

Cache of Timewarped Treasures obtained from Black Temple Timewalking quest this week has a chance to contain Ashes of Al'ar!
Don't forget to complete this week's Timewalking raid! If you're having trouble getting into a group, create your own one, invite 2 tanks 4-5 healers and around 14 DPS and you are all set! Visit Shattrath, and talk to the Timewalking NPC to queue up for the raid.
The raid is extremely easy to compete and what's more, you get item level 493 loot along your way.
Upon defeating Illidan Stormrage and completing the quest, you will receive Cache of Timewarped Treasures that has an increased chance of containing Ashes of Al'ar or another piece of gear.
Demon Hunters shouldn't forget to get their warglaives transmog arsenal from Illidan and the reputation buff will help you add a couple of mounts to your collection!

Tama's Dragonflight Helper is a Weakaura that displays a weekly to-do list in the game and it's been updated for Dragonflight Season 4!
The WeakAura is very useful for keeping track of everything in the game at max level. It shows you a to-do list with the weekly tasks, provides you with the locations of rares, super rares, information about your current Renown standing, and more.

You will find Tama's Dragonflight Helper at wago.io. Please note that you must first download and install WeakAuras 2 to import the string.

Cataclysm's Grim Batol has been added to the Mythic+ Dungeon rotation in The War Within Season 1, and one boss received a brand new model recently on the Alpha.
General Umbriss, the first boss of the dungeon, got a shiny new model, which is quite different from his previous one. Below is a screenshot of the old a new model.
