Dragonflight 10.0.7 DPS Log Rankings for Vault of the Incarnates, Week 4: The DKs Take Over Post Tuning

A lot more change has arrived over the past week as the charts twist and turn once again and we have another new No.1, as the recent tuning changes had quite an impact! With perhaps the most tumultuous week since the first few of the expansion there's movement everywhere, with good news for DKs and bad news for (most Hunters), so let's take a look!

Mythic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

It's getting very red at the top, and while Frost has taken the lead it's all about the Unholy version of Death Knights this week! After a solid amount of changes in the tuning pass we see a truly crazy move from the second red spec, as the ghoul and gargoyle sporting DK moved from the bottom three to 2nd place, gaining a whopping 21 spots! And not only that, but it's very much neck and neck with Frost, so we might be seeing it at the actual top next week! Demonology falls down to third from its top spot last week, while Marksmanship actually rises 4 spots without any buffs from the tuning, pushing Destruction down one. Arms and Subtletly both drop 1 spot and switch places, as Devastation remains behind the duo. Retribution had its two weeks at the top, but those glory days seem over as we find it down in 9th, 6 spots away from last week's 3rd. Shadow and Havoc remain together, with the Priest closing out the top 10 and the DH looking in. Two of the three bottom specs actually got nerfs with last week's tuning, and while Beast Mastery was there before and wasn't impacted, Survival was moving out of the gutter, but has now been dragged back down.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

We see a very different and much more varied picture in the generalist bracket, with Subtlety taking over at the top and Retribution still very much hanging in and only dropping down to 2nd, with Marksmanship also rising here, 2 spots into 3rd. Unholy makes the same miraculous leap thanks to the tuning, coming up from dead last into 4th place, the exact same giant 21-spot leap. Demonology is down 2 to make room for the Hunter and DK, while Arms, Havoc, Outlaw and Shadow get packed together, and Balance comes in gaining 2 spots to close out the top 10. The two nerfed Hunters weren't in the bottom 3 last week - but they are now, joining Frost Mage down in the dumps.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

The tuning didn't just affect the overall damage, as we have a new king of boss only damage with Unholy taking over! Assassination also moves 3 spots up, without any help from the tuning, pushing Affliction down to 3rd. The two Hunter specs were doing very well here, taking two top 3 spots, but have now fallen after their tuning, with Beast Mastery only dropping by one, but Survival dropping a much larger 6 spots out of No.1. Arms and Arcane also show some large gains, up 6 and 3 spots respectively.

Heroic Overall DPS

It's all Unholy, all the time in Heroic as well, with the DK taking the top spot from Assassination, and by a large margin. Affliction remains in third thanks to Arcane's large 5 spot drop to 7th, as we see Retribution actually remaining stable in 4th! Marksmanship moves up a little as well, while Beast Mastery and Survival both fall out of the top 10.

The new War Within Allied Races was added to the Alpha today and we already have a full look at not only all their customization options, but their dances as well, courtesy of MrGM! You can check out the Earthen's racial abilities here if you missed them earlier.
Let's start with the more dynamic feature, with both male and female dances:
And then there's big amount of customization options, as well as a size comparison with regular dwarves:

So, are we liking the new Allied Race overall? More than actual dwarves?

Here's a really cool possibility for the War Within, as a very subtle and mildly mysterious comment from Executive Producer and Vice President for WoW, Holly Longdale, may be hinting at our Warband characters getting a lot more involved in our travels!
First spotted by UlthansWrath, Longdale came up to Taliesin & Evitel at the recent London War Within Alpha press event and had a short chat about the Warband screen, when she casually said "wouldn't it be cool if those were the characters you took as your followers in your Follower Dungeons?" After the obvious confirmation from Taliesin and Evitel that, yes, yes it would be cool, she just said "hm" and that was the end of the conversation.
Obviously this isn't any sort of official confirmation, but considering this is a really awesome idea, it seems likely Blizzard are at the very least discussing it, if not already working on it.

The Warband system is already great, and this would add a lot to it for players that choose to go solo into dungeons, as it would give them even more motivation to get some great characters in their Warband - even if it was just a cosmetic option.
So, what do you think, will we be seeing this feature when the War Within launches?
