Amirdrassil 10.2 Raid DPS Log Rankings, Week 6: Massive Tuning Shakeup

Recommended Posts

Clipboard02.jpg

It's time to see what the third (and largest) tuning pass did! And boy did it do a lot, as we see the biggest shakeup to the rankings in a long time. There weren't quite as many runs over the week as usual due to the holidays, but there's still plenty to see.

Mythic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

The tuning has had quite the effect in the top percentiles, as (most of) the Rogues are gone and we have some very fresh faces at the top! Demonology seems to be the new Augmentation favorite as it shoots up 7 spots to the very top after receiving exactly 0 buffs! Devastation has the Warlock beat in terms of spots gained, with a colossal 19-spot leap into 2nd, but it at least got some help in the tuning. We see some stability in 3rd and our first and only yellow in a while, as Subtlety seems to have remained on the Augmenters good side and stays in place, with Assassination dropping all the way down to 8th after its nerfs, and Outlaw even further to 11th, after receiving absolutely no nerfs. It really is a wild Evoker-support-driven world these days. Arcane bounces back with its own gigantic leap, up 9 in 4th. Havoc actually just ignores its nerfs altogether and remains in 5, while Beast Mastery rises one right behind it, getting back into the premiere Hunter spot after Marksmanship's massive 11-spot drop this week. Another big beneficiary of the tuning is Frost Mage in 7th, blasting up from the bottom and gaining 14 spots this week! Its fellow Mage also gains quite a few spots, as Fire's buffs "only" gains it 10 spots in 9th, and we have Affliction closing out the top 10 4 spots up as well. Augmentation is still not getting its due, sitting at the bottom, and is joined by newcomers Arms and Feral, with the Druid making the larger drop, down 6.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Demonology proves it's not just a top percentiles fluke as it sits on top in the generalist bracket as well, with Devastation and Subtletly joining it in cross-chart stability as well. Havoc does see a little bit of nerf consequences, but only drops 1 spot, while Affliction is really taking off here, up 8 spots in 5th. The rest is very similar to the top percentiles, with Beast Mastery gaining ground, Marksmanship dropping off (and then some), Assassination losing 1 spot less, Outlaw just barely hanging in the top 10, Fire rising and so on. Arcane swaps in for Frost here as it takes the top Mage spot in 8th, however, with Frost down in 14th.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

The boss only charts don't seem to care much for the nerfs, as they remain ever stable! Balance and Enhancement switch spots in 3rd as Destruction gains a few spots, and we do see Fire and Arcane benefit from their buffs and come up quite a bit, but the two Rogues are still in control at the very top.

Windwalkers have their first glimpse at the top 10 here, however, as the buff moves them from the penultimate spot overall to the penultimate top 10 one!

Heroic

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Heroic also sees much less movement, but does sport a new No.1! Arcane takes full advantage of the shorter fights and its buff to take over from the Rogues, as Assassination didn't get affected as much by the nerfs.

U.GG DPS Rankings

U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks. This is the chart for Heroic and Mythic difficulties combined.

The mixed Heroic and Mythic rankings are more impervious to change, as Subtletly remains in the lead, but we do see Arcane break through after the buffs and push Assassination down. Enhancement moves past Demonology, and Devastation takes Destruction's spot above Fury, as Feral closes out the top 10 4 spots up!

As you can see, you can complete delves or other world activities to unlock items in the new World row, which is cool for players who do not want to do Mythic+ or Raids.
To unlock items in the new row, you must complete 3/6/12 delves or world activities. World activities count as Tier 0, as you can see in the global string.
To increase the reward's item level, you must complete Delves at a higher tier. We have 9 tiers in total with the last two being only for bragging rights (awarding cosmetics).
Great Vault Requirements in the War Within
Here are the updated requirements for the weekly chest in the War Within.

Let's check out the unique and rare mounts available from the vendor in MoP Remix.
MoP Remix introduces 29 new mounts for your collection. However, there are some additional very rare mounts from raids and world bosses with a drop chance of around 1%. The best part is that you can buy them from vendors once you have enough Bronze. Just keep in mind that these items have a minimum level requirement and are quite expensive.

The limited time Remix event just got a lot less deadly, as Blizzard fix another bug. Certain high level boss abilities were doing double damage, but a hotfix has cleared that all up!
      Remix (Source)
With a hotfix that we applied a few minutes ago, we’ve fixed a bug that was causing some high-level boss abilities to unintentionally do double damage to players.
For players who have been inside an instance since before the hotfix went out, there will be no change until you leave and start a new instance.
Thank you for your reports and feedback!

Players without the Dragonflight expansion have been having trouble after reaching level 60in the MoP Remix event. Their characters would become locked, as levels 60 and up were part of the Dragonflight expansion, so there was quite a bit of confusion since the event wasn't supposed to require the latest expansion.
Luckily Blizzard have now clarified that this was a bug, and have since resolved it!

We believe that this issue has been fixed with an update that we deployed with realm restarts earlier this morning.
