Amirdrassil 10.2 Raid DPS Log Rankings, Week 8: The Devastation Yo-Yo

Recommended Posts

The Demonology - Subtletly war rages on, as the two top specs remain stable for now, while Devastation makes another big comeback, yoyoing back up into the top this week. Havoc finally makes a move as well, after being one of the most stable specs for a long time, and there's plenty more action to check out, so let's get to it.

Mythic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

Devastation is back! After leaving the top for a week, the Evoker returns to third place, pushing Arcane down one. Havoc continues to be the most stable spec in the top in 5th, while Beast Mastery takes Frost Mage down a peg. Assassination does the same to Fire, with Outlaw closing out the top 10 6 spots down from last week. The Rogue spec is one of the biggest differences between the raw DPS and normalized charts, as it's actually in 2nd place when going by Normalized Score (which you can find here), with Marksmanship and Destruction also doing a lot better there.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

We have some significant movement out of Havoc in the generalist chart, as it climbs 2 spots into 3rd, while Outlaw drops a whopping 10 spots (but remains stable in the Normalized chart). Devastation climbs back up here as well, an even bigger 16 spots in 5th, after its large drop the week before. BM remains stable in 6th, with Affliction also rising an impressive 5 spots right behind it, and Assassination dropping 1 to accommodate the Warlock. Fire takes Frost's spot in the Mage sandwich, with Fury still playing out the meat in that particular analogy in 10th.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

While Subtlety still rules over all, we do see Balance drop out of 2nd, allowing Assassination to slide in, while Enhancement actually gains 3 spots and ends above the Druid as well. The Mages are breaking up the Warlock party after that, with Fire moving in front in 5th, and Arcane slotting in between Destruction and Affliction.

Heroic

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Arcane's lead is dwindling more and more each week and Subtlety should soon take over here. Meanwhile, Enhancement takes out Assassination in 3rd, Devastation actually drops a spot in 9th, and Windwalker finally makes the top 10!

U.GG DPS Rankings

U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks. This is the chart for Heroic and Mythic difficulties combined.

Things are getting stable in the mixed chart, with our first change coming in at No.6, where Devastation takes down Havoc. We also see Shadow Priest drop out of the top 10 after getting there for the first time this patch the previous week, as Beast Mastery takes the spot back. The two Frost specs are still down in the dumps, with Marksmanship joining them.

Danta is back with another soloing guide, this time, covering how to obtain Glory of the Uldir Raider achievement that rewards a crawg mount!
Glory of the Uldir Raider rewards the Bloodgorged Crawg mount and you must enter Uldir, the first Battle for Azeroth raid, to earn the achievement and get the mount.
Here's what the mount looks like:
      Bloodgorged Crawg
This crawg was left alone to feast on G'huun's corrupted blood and rot. He was so happy.

The Uldir meta-achievement requires players to complete a total of 8 achievements (1 per boss). For more details, you can watch Danta's video linked below.
In case you've missed it, there's also a guide on how to solo the Tomb raider meta-achievement.

It's surprising to learn just how many racial abilities have been removed from WoW over the years (or changed/nerfed enough as to basically be a different ability). Today we have hirumaredx going over some of the most overpowered and fun ones.
The first one triggers me greatly, as the idea of tauren just running around really fast instead of mounting was one of the reasons I even installed WoW back in the day in the first place! The video also talks about Priest-specific racial spells , some that don't fit the OP or fun description of the video, the Blood Elf ones you knew would be featured, and more.

During one raid, we got to see the Fyr'alath bad luck protection buff work wonders, yielding 12 drops from a single Fyrakk kill.
Sacolas shared an interesting shot on Reddit, showing 12 Fyr'alaths dropping simultaneously! This might just be the record for the most Fyr'alath the Dreamrender drops we've seen from a single kill to date. Sadly, the original poster missed out on the quest item, and looted instead a Greater Ember of Fyr'alath. Here's hoping for better luck next week!

What's the highest number of Fyr'alaths you've seen drop from one kill? Let us know in the comments below!
