Season 3 Patch 10.2.5 Mythic+ DPS, Tank and Healer Log Rankings: Week 1

We have our first look at the fallout of patch 10.2.5! There weren't that many class changes this time around, and the rankings reflect that, but there's still movement, and we still have the ever-king sitting up at the top, as another age of Fire begins.

Warcraft Logs Points

The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.

All Keys

95th percentile DPS

The age of Fire isn't going anywhere indeed! The Mage clawed its way past Augmentation at the end of the last patch and it is now firmly in control. The spec is the all-time most frequent pole position holder, and it seems unlikely anything less than a nerf brings it down before the War Within pre-patch. Not much changed after the top 2 spots either, with Balance being the first mover, taking down Demonology in 5th. Destruction wins the most-improved award in the top 10, as it climbs 5 spots into 8th, right behind a very stable Retribution. Windwalkers move up one, as they push Arcane down to the bottom of the top 10, with Fury sitting just outside. Affliction's recent rise in raids is not reflected here, as it remains at the very bottom, joined by Devastation and Marksmanship, same as before the patch.

All Percentiles

Fire didn't hold the top spot here before the patch, but it sure does now, making its takeover complete. The top is stable here as well, with Windwalker taking down Subtlety in 9th being the only other change in the top 10. Assassination is a new addition to the bottom 3, as it joins the Warlock and Hunter, who have been there for quite a while now.

U.GG DPS Rankings

U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.

We have a stable top 4 in the raw DPS rankings, as Windwalkers remain strong in 4th, with Destruction moving into 5th, as both it and Elemental move past Beast Mastery. Fire isn't quite as dominant here, sitting in 8th, with Balance moving up 2 spots and pushing Unholy down to the final top 10 spot. The bottom 3 remains the same here but, as usual, Augmentation is not correctly calculated, as is the case for the spec for all pure DPS-based charts.

Tank (Points)

The patch did nothing to change the tank layout, with Vengeance and Prot Paladin ahead of the pack, and the rest sitting at a pretty identical score after that.

Healer (Points)

We do see a change at the top for the healers, as Discipline has taken over from Mistweaver! That's not the only movement here either, as Holy Pala takes down Resto Druid, with Shaman, Holy Priest and Preservation remaining in the bottom half.

      Blizzard released a second War Within Beta patch this week with Mac fixes and hints of a new login screen.
      The ManifestInterfaceData table has been updated with new elements suggesting Blizzard may be working on a new login screen with a landscape.


      These files suggest a landscape login screen with clouds moving across the screen, creating dynamic weather effects that make the scene feel alive. There will be a swirling portal, embers and smoke, glowing effects, and energy scrolls, with Arcane Wisps and glowing particles floating around some sort of ring / portal.
      We should see a bridge with buildings, braziers, and bushes! It would be really cool to see Hallowfall landscape and the crystal shift right on the login screen!

      Mac users are unable to log in to the game as of the recent War Within Beta build. A fix for the issue is coming on Monday, July 22, according to Blizzard.

      Due to unexpected technical difficulties, we have not yet been able to resolve login and stability issues in the Beta.
      Our next update on this will be on Monday, July 22.

      Follower Dungeons in the War Within Beta now count towards the weekly dungeon bonus event quest!
      Previously, we mentioned that Follower Dungeons didn't give players credit for the weekly dungeon bonus event quest. However, this has been fixed in the Beta. Now, to complete the weekly quest for 1,500 reputation or 1 Renown with a faction of your choice, you can simply run Follower Dungeons!
