wow Amirdrassil 10.2.5 Raid DPS Log Rankings, Week 3: Lingering Tuning

We have a very active week on our hands, as the results of the tuning still reverberate, and there's even some delayed action from them, as we see the DKs slowly return! Retribution is still riding high and going even higher in a few places, with the Paladin out-pacing Arms as the big winner of the buff-aftermath (bufftermath?).

Important Note: we're switching over to Normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it's AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Mythic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

While the top 3 remains solid we have a lot of big movement right after that. Affliction starts us off with a light 1-spot move up, followed immediately by a larger 2-spot move by Retribution. And right after that we see the real surprise of the week, as Frost DK makes it's first appearance in the top 10 in a long while, moving up a massive 9 spots to land in 6th. Frost has long been something of an anomaly in the top percentiles specifically, as it only tends to do well with really good players, and it seems the recent buffs are finally taking hold. Havoc finds itself down 3 spots to accommodate all the upstarts, breaking its long solid as a rock top 5 streak. Fire also moves up one, pushing past Fury, with stable Arms in tow and closing out the top 10.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

The generalist bracket's top 3 has caught up with the top percentiles, as the Rogue-Warlock-Mage setup is now settled in here as well. We do instantly see a difference after that, as Retribution is pushing up even further after the buffs, claiming 4th. Right behind see Fury move up as well, as both specs gain 2 spots.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

While Subtletly rules here as well, Enhancement and Retribution have taken up permanent positions in the top 3. Assassination drops a few spots as Arms rises even more post-buff, and Unholy still holds on to its top 10 spot.

Heroic

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Retribution is moving up in Heroic as well, looking to break into the top 3 soon. Havoc is doing better this week, very much in opposition to its Mythic performance, while Demonology drops a spot and seems to be much more suited for Mythic.

U.GG Raw DPS Rankings

U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks. This chart is for Mythic only.

Fury pushes up into the top 3 this week, despite not having gotten any buffs, but the spec always does better and better as the patch goes on, as those higher item levels really boost it more than other specs. Retribution is also very much on the rise, with the buff (and probably a few more Fyr'alaths) pushing it up a big 4 spots into 5th! Affliction finds itself down 3 to make room for everyone, and we do see Frost DK doing a lot better here as well, 4 up in 7th, so its appearance in the top percentiles in the Normalized chart wasn't a fluke. Unholy also makes its way into the top 10, making it 2 DKs in there, which we haven't seen in a long time.
