We are a former top top 10 Heroic progression guild, returning for WoD after taking a break in MoP. We've done the 4 night a week thing and as our group of players has grown and aged, we've decided to keep the same hardcore progression mentality on a more time friendly schedule for. As such we raid 2/3 nights a week with raiding times as follows:

Sunday from 7-11 PM EST

Wednesday from 8 PM EST- 11 PM EST

Thursday from 8 PM EST - 11 PM EST (Tentatively/As Needed)

We've been around since TBC on Ner'zhul, including top ranked US progression in WoLK 25m. In Cataclysm we decided to focus on the 10m raiding model; where we hovered in the top 25 of US progress for most of the expansion. After calling it quits in MOP, we returned with the same raiding crew and leadership from WoLK/Cata for WoD progression, on our new home Mal'ganis.

About Spike Flail:

We started the guild from Kara up and slowly grew into a top guild on the server, finishing TBC as the 2nd progressed guild Horde side. In WoLK we made the jump to a top US guild, with our Ulduar, ToC, and ICC progression clocking in the top 15-20 US consistently. In Cata we decided to focus on the 10m raiding model to maintain a more intimate and less recruitment-heavy environment, and finishing in the top 30-50 US.

We took a break after Cata but as a group remained playing together throughout the years, moving to FF14 and other less time-consuming games. When WoD was announced we had that itch again, and the majority of our core raiding team returned to push progression again, on a much less demanding schedule. We have the same leadership and raiding core as we did all the way back in TBC/WoLK/Cata; not many guilds can say that.

We take raiding serious, but we also know this is a game and meant to be enjoyed. While I know that sounds cliche and overused, I'm honestly proud to say that we're not the type of guild that takes raiding so seriously that we have run completely in the authoritarian manner and forget why we're playing. Our main goal is to maintain a professional environment in which we can play this game and progress, and we try to take that mentality into how we conduct ourselves when it comes to raiding and our reputation as a guild.

What we're looking for:

As 2/3 day/week guild, we need to make every hour we play count. As such we're looking for players who's attitudes and personality fit in with our current group of players. Some general requirements:

Past Progression experience. We're looking for apps who have been a part of top progression pushes in past content, or are at least Mythic experienced in the current content.

Ability to make 90% of our raids.

Dedicated raiding mindset. This includes using consumables on every fight, researching your classes' theorycrafting to min-max to the fullest, being on time and ready for every night, etc.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: We're looking for intelligent human being, and you should be able to convey your intelligence in how you present yourself. This includes knowing game mechanics, having quick reaction time, and being able to learn from your mistakes. You should be able to explain your classes weakness and strengths, know the theorycraft to min/max your class, and what abilities to use when. You must be able to learn quickly from your mistakes and adapt to new situations, as well as have a strong sense of situational awareness and the ability to multi-task effectively. You also must be able to express yourself in a way that shows you're an intelligent human being, this includes proper grammar and sentence structure.

You can find a much longer post regarding all our expectations and requirements for our applicants at here. I STRONGLY encourage any potential applicant to read over that thread thoroughly before making a decision regarding their application.

Our specific class needs are as follows:

  • High Priority:
  • Rogue
  • Paladin (Healer)
  • Mage
  • Boomkin
  • Druid (Balance)
  • Druid (Feral)
  • Priest (Holy and Disc proficient)'
  • Hunter
  • Warlock
  • Warrior(Fury/Arms)
A Note: We are not recruiting this many players. We simply have a lot of options available to what classes we can take. Some members have alts/offspecs they can choose to if we find a certain class. We also just have a general need for good players, so we're open to most classes at the moment. That's why we have so many on our list.

How to contact us:

If you're interested in applying, you can visit our forums at www.spikeflail.com and put an application in on the appropriate forum. Please be sure to read all the stickies before applying, if you can't be bothered to read the stickies and follow application directions you probably will not be considered for a trial. You also can roll a level 1 on Mal'ganis and chat with (Pallinn - Palin#1620 Btag) Melbu (Mellbufrahma - melbufrahma#1499) or myself (nikolai#1962)

Guild: Dawn of the Dead | http://www.dotd.org   Faction: Horde | Server: Zul'jin (PvE) | Timezone: EST   Current Progression: 4/8M Uldir   We've been raiding max size raids continuously since WoW has been released and are the only guild to have done so here on Zul'jin. We have strong leadership, no drama, and plans to keep raiding for years to come. Unlike many guilds, we're not recruiting for the short term, and we don't over-recruit.   Website: www.dotd.org
Raid Times: Our schedule is 8-11 EST Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.   Needs: We are a small guild, and we expect high attendance. As such, we recruit people to raid, and desire people who can step in and contribute immediately. We don’t recruit people to sit around, so all spots are for raiders who can expect to be in most every raid.   We are currently looking to add skilled and reliable:   Ranged DPS:
      High: Warlock
      Medium: Mage, S.Priest, Boomkin
      1 Healer:
      High: MW Monk
*ALL exceptional applicants will be considered regardless of the class.   What we ask of you:   Effort: Not all applicants come from highly progressed guilds, and that’s okay, but it does mean that you need to be prepared. We recruit the player, not the gear, but we do ask that you have some current experience and be a minimum iLvl of 370. You need to have the best gear available to you, (BoE, Crafted) with gems and top end enchants. You also need to be able to display an understanding of your class mechanics, role in a raid, and ability to learn new fights.   Attitude: It’s a game. We play for fun. How you fit in with the guild is taken very seriously. We’re a bunch of mostly 18-30 guys and girls who have fun playing together. While we have a good time, we also know when it’s time to buckle down and work hard.   Skill: The best way to determine skill is to see you in a raid. Because we don’t wish to have anyone transfer that we’re not serious about, be able to express your knowledge of your class and why you’re an exceptional player who would be an asset and is worth a shot. Gear will come with time. Skill will not. Impress us with your knowledge of your class and gameplay mechanics. Feel free to share any logs, theorycrafting, or other work you've done.   Commitment: We make a commitment to you, and ask you to do the same to us. A raid takes a team of more than 20 individuals working together. We rely on you to show up to raids, research your class and new fights, respect your fellow players, and notify us when you are unavailable. You rely on us for gear, experience, and coordination. It's a large investment of our time to train and gear new players, and we ask the same investment on your part so that we can each benefit.   We have a variety of informational resources available to prospective applicants on our web site: http://www.dotd.org-- please refer to our "Applications" forum for detailed information. Also feel free to visit us on WoWProgresss for more information and kill videos! http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/us/...wn+of+the+Dead   Should you wish to speak to someone in-game, please don't hesitate to reach out to an officer directly, whisper Xanah (Xana#1662) or Jeare (Jeare#1759).   We look forward to hearing from you soon!

      current progress 8/8 Heroic Uldir
Battle for Azeroth is here, and Fat Finger Dream Team is back and bigger than ever, eager to experience what the new expansion has in store for us.

      Who are we?
FFDT is a Horde guild located on Tarren Mill, consisting of around 20 players with different backgrounds in gaming. We enjoy a wide variety of in-game content, whether it be raids, mythic dungeons or PVP.
We’re a healthy mix of semi-competitive and chill people originating from all over Europe, age ranging from 22 to 34+. Many of us have played games together in the past, but we’re always looking for more people to strengthen our ranks, and would happily embrace you with our fat fingers.

      Goals & Schedule
After successfully creating a strong guild foundation back in Legion, we now strive to keep our community healthy while expanding it in order to be able to enjoy everything that the game has to offer.
Our initial goal in Battle for Azeroth is to clear Uldir on Heroic difficulty while preparing a Mythic raiding team at the same time.
Our raiding schedule is as follows: 2 times per week, on Thursdays from 7 pm to 10 pm and on Sundays from 6 pm to 9 pm Paris time.

      What we want from you
Good attitude - Be nice, be cool and cut down on your salt consumption. We prefer good attitude over numbers such as ilvls, achievements and scores. Communication - Be on Discord with us. Trust me, it makes raiding so much more enjoyable when you get to meet new people, of course without forgetting about some healthy shit talking! Attendance - Be able to attend at least once a week, preferably twice. Preparation for the raids - During progress runs it is expected that everyone has read guides and shows up with proper buffs. For hard content it is also advised to have studied class-specific guides. We are currently looking for flexible people with good game knowledge (both PvE and PvP) and mainly the following classes:
Druid (balance) Shaman (all specs) Death Knight (frost, unholy) Warlock (affliction) Monk (windwalker)
      tl;dr
      Join us

It would be awesome to have you onboard, so please don’t hesitate to contact us regarding any questions you might have!
      yours truly,

      Lamme#1153
