Colorful Mayhem Guide
Gameplay Overview
As this event is heavily based on past game modes, players can replay previous events to re-familiarize themselves. Consult the following guide if you are unfamiliar with Seal Slammer's gameplay mode. It covers everything from the basic gameplay, choosing your seals, and various arena layouts.
The general gameplay of Colorful Mayhem's Seal Slammers is identical to the original multiplayer mode. In Colorful Mayhem, players must coordinate a team of baby seals and defeat their opponent in a limited time frame.
The primary difference is that in Colorful Mayhem, players must use the Double Seals mode. This mode allows players to choose six baby seals per match, where:
- Three seals will be in the Battle position, allowing them to enter the arena and collide with enemies
- Three seals in the Assist slots will only provide their unique abilities to the associated Battle seals
You can review which Assist ability a Battle seal gets by selecting the Assist Ability tab before deploying or saving the lineup.
To win Seal Slammer matches, you must reach six knock-outs first before your opponent.
Gameplay Overview
As this event is heavily based on past game modes, players can replay previous events to re-familiarize themselves. Consult the following guide if you are unfamiliar with Origami Bird Clash: Official Edition's gameplay mode. It covers everything from the basic gameplay, such as what each Origami Bird does, item uses, and how to effectively match fruits together.
The general gameplay of Colorful Mayhem's Origami Bird Clash is identical to the Official Edition's large multiplayer mode. In Colorful Mayhem, players must select an Origami Bird of their choice and achieve the highest score across a live leader board.
Colorful Mayhem features all of the Origami Birds from Origami Bird Clash: Official Edition. There are no differences between which birds are available, and what Origami Bird skills do.
The primary difference is that in Colorful Mayhem, players must use the Best of the Flock mode. This mode requires you to enter public matchmaking and compete against 29 other players. Additionally, you can only use the random items that appear in Bubble Expresses during the match.
These Bubble Expresses can be moved around, just like other fruits. When matching adjacent fruits, the Bubble Expresses will pop and you will obtain the item for use.
Within the time limit, you can match infinitely to obtain a higher score. When the timer reaches 0 seconds, if your score is higher than the listed Target Power, you can advance to the next match. If not, you have one more opportunity to catch up before elimination.
To win Origami Bird matches, you must achieve the highest score on the matchmaking leader board.
How to Complete the Event
To obtain all of the rewards, you must enter matchmaking and compete with other players. Completing matchmaking battles will reward Rank Points according to how well you performed. Any Friend Battles you participate in will not count towards your total score.
Please take into account the following:
- Losing matches will still earn you some Rank Points, while winning will reward you with more Rank Points
- Your total score consists of Rank Points accumulated from both Double Seals and Best of the Flock matches
- You can earn more points for excellent performance (such as Title Scores or higher leaderboard ranks)
On average, winning one match will get you a third or halfway through the event rewards. As such, you only need to complete matchmaking a handful of times to obtain all the rewards. If you are having difficulty with winning in Seal Slammers, consider competing in Origami Bird Clash instead.
If you want to evaluate your performance compared to your friends, you can also consult the Friend Ranking menu.
