In Honkai: Star Rail, the The Memory of Chaos is battle content where players defeat stages of enemies to earn rewards. This content updates periodically introducing new enemy lineups and Effects.
Memory of Chaos
Memory of Chaos is a challenging game mode within the Forgotten Hall, unlocked after completing The Last Vestiges of the Towering Citadel. It features 12 stages, each granting rewards upon completion. Unlike fixed encounters in areas like Jarilo-VI and Xianzhou, Memory of Chaos resets around every 6 weeks, presenting new enemy line-ups with each cycle.Equilibrium level does not influence the way the rewards are offered throughout the forgotten hall.
Memory Turbulence in the Memory of Chaos updates around every 6 weeks introducing a new effect to its stages.
What is the Current Memory of Chaos?
The current Memory of Chaos Memory Turbulence is Gambler's Plight. This will be in effect from: 03 Aug, 2025 - 14 Sep, 2025.
Gamblers Plight - "At the start of every Wave or Cycle, apply Memory Imprint to an enemy target of elite level or higher. This effect lasts until the start of the next Cycle. "Memory Imprint" is a special kind of Burn effect. The holders of this effect receive Fire DoT at the start of each turn. When ally targets use their Skill Attacks on a target with "Memory Imprint," they will deal DMG equal to 220% of the attacker's ATK to the target and adjacent targets."

How Do You Unlock Memory of Chaos?
In order to unlock this game mode you first need to access the Forgotten Hall. To enter the Forgotten Hall you will need to complete the mission "Fleeting Lights" which becomes available after a message from Pom Pom upon reaching Trailblaze 21.
Completing The Last Vestiges of Towering Citadel Stage 15 will therefore unlock the Memory of Chaos.
What Rewards are there in The Memory of Chaos?
The Mark Gift rewards you every time you earn 3 stars in a stage. For each 3 stars you will receive 60x Stellar Jades and 20,000x Credits up to a maximum of 45 stars.
In addition to the Mark Gift rewards you can also obtain Memory Rewards for each stage achieved. See below for the rewards that can be obtained for all Stages:

- Traveler's Guide x2
- Lost Crystal x2
- Refined Aether x1
- Credits x10000
