On this page, you will find out the optimal PvE stat priority for your Holy Priest in Mists of Pandaria Classic. We first present the stat priority, before delving into more complex explanations.

1.

Stat Priority for Holy Priest

The stat priority for HolyHoly Priest is as follows:

  1. Intellect;
  2. Spirit;
  3. Critical Strike Rating;
  4. Mastery Rating;
  5. Haste Rating.
1.1.

Intellect

Intellect is the main stat for all casters as it increases their Spell Power, boosting the effectiveness of damage and healing spells. Intellect will be found on all gear you use and will continually increase throughout the expansion as your gear steadily improves.

1.2.

Spirit

Spirit is the healer stat, granting mana regeneration. With HolyHoly being one of the most mana-hungry healers in the game, Spirit is a stat you will want on as much of your gear as possible.

1.3.

Critical Strike Rating

Crit is a direct scale to all of your healing, doubling the healing that the spell would normally do. Where this gets the advantage over Mastery, is that all of your healing spells can crit, where as some spells do not benefit from Mastery: Echo of Light Icon Mastery: Echo of Light.

1.4.

Mastery Rating

HolyHoly gets Mastery: Echo of Light Icon Mastery: Echo of Light for their Mastery trait, causing your direct healing spells to heal for an additional amount over-time, based on your Mastery. This gives you a lot of additional healing, especially when you are AoE healing. Mastery is a little worse than Crit, as healing over time is not guaranteed to get value, and not all of your healing spells benefit from Mastery: Echo of Light Icon Mastery: Echo of Light, but they do benefit from crit.

1.5.

Haste Rating

While Haste has previously been our go-to stat, that is not longer the case. Instead, we gain better healing throughout and mana-effectiveness by focusing on other stats.
