and best professions, as well as macros and addons for Paladin.
You can also find links to the detailed specialization guides below.
Paladin PvP Overview
Paladins have the ability to both heal and
deal damage in a PvP environment. Additionally, they have some of the most utility
out of any class in the game.
Hand of Freedom,
Hand of Protection,
and
Hand of Sacrifice are extremely powerful cooldowns that will always
be desired in a PvP setting. Not to mention,
Hammer of Justice is one of the best
forms of crowd control in the game. Regardless fo what spec you choose, Paladins have
great defensive ability thanks to
Divine Shield and a ton of healing abilities
to keep you alive as a DPS. Paladin is a very strong choice for PvP in Mists of Pandaria.
When choosing to PvP as a Paladin, you will need to pick between two different specializations:
Holy is an extremely powerful healer in Arena content thanks
to
Beacon of Light allowing you to funnel a ton of extra healing into one player.
While having quite a few powerful throughput cooldowns, Holy Paladins also have access to
Devotion Aura which allows you to massively reduce the damage your party takes.
Holy Paladins are a historically strong PvP healer and that will continue into MoP, even
if they cannot output as much HPS as other healers, their utility makes up for it.
Retribution is the DPS spec for Paladins. Outside of providing
fantastic utility that many other DPS specs lack, Retribution is an extremely tanky spec
with many tools available in addition to healing abilities that will allow you to always
stay in fights. Additionally, Retribution has very strong cooldowns and burst damage, allowing
you to quickly deal with dangerous targets.
Listed below are links to our specialization guides for Paladin PvP. Inside these guides we will go over the optimal specialization, best gear, and some tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your character in PvP scenarios.

Macros and Addons
Macros and Addons can greatly benefit your gameplay, especially in a high-paced environment like PvP where no two arenas or battlegrounds play out equally. Macros are especially useful to make you faster at reacting to enemy plays by allowing you to combine two commands into a single button.
Addons increase the amount of information you are receiving and can also present it in a more intuitive, customizable way, in order to be able to better make a decision as to what your next move should be.
Listed below are our guides for Paladin-specific Addons and Macros. Most of these are targeted towards PvE but many can also be very useful in PvP scenarios.
